In the worst case, it's still under warranty (all 7th gen nanos are still under one year from purchase).
So, you disconnect it from power, and it almost immediately goes dead? You can try a Restore... but it doesn't sound like the type of problem a Restore will fix.
You should probably have it looked by Apple Tech Support. If there's an Apple Store nearby, you can take it to the store's Genius Bar. To avoid waiting, you can make a reservation at the store's web page

See if you can boot into safe mode by holding down the shift key immediately after pressing the start button. Keep holding the shift key till a loading progress bar appears on the lower part of the screen. It will take a lot longer than normal to start this way. If you have Lion 10.7 installed you can try holding command-R keys to get intto recovery mode and run disk utility.

Ipod nano 7th generation is not getting charged!

I bought ipod nano 7th generation seven months ago. It stopped getting charged suddenly. I have checked USB cable with iphone and it is working well. Can anyone please tell me what's wrong with my ipod and how can I fix it. I have tried to charge it many times but nothing occures. It's not even being displayed in my laptop or itunes.
Any suggestion would be really appreciated!

Let the Nano sit and charge for at least 30 minutes. After that, try resetting it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
