HT1349 can't check updates for my ipod via itunes

Question

i cant check software updates for my ipod and there's a notification saying a network error. i try to run diagnostic through i tunes and this is the result :

i suspect the windows firewall is the problem. So i shut it down, but still can't connet to the server.

(iTunes) iOS based apps (for iPhones, iPads, and the iPod touch) can be updated directly from the device.
Tap the App Store icon then tap Updates at the bottom of the display.
For your Mac...
-  Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
-  Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste:    ~/LIbrary/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Type or copy/paste:    ~/Library/Cookies
Click Go then move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Type or copy/paste:    ~/Library/Preferences
Click Go then move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Try updating the My Alarm Clock app.
