I grabbed my dads iPad and the sound works fine.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

My iPad will not play sound through my bluetooth headset (plantronics Savi 700).

It is connected, but sound still comes from the built-in speaker. iOS 8.1.2
I tried the only recommendations that I could find. Unpair, reset All Settings, Signout of iCloud, Restart, Repair. Still didn't work.

Never Mind, Figured it out. The headset is not bluetooth audio, only headset enabled.

Music plays in the Music app - not iTunes. Videos play in the Videos App - not in the Music App. Is that what you are doing? If you are using the correct apps for the appropriate content - quit the apps and restart.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Close the Notes app on the Task Bar and re-launch.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold the Notes app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen

Some time, the computer will not play music or DVDs, but it can play MSN sounds, and I must re-start the computer, and so it will play music and DVD... What is the problem? What can I do? This has been an ongoing problem for me too. With my iPad 2 I buy a tv show or rent a movie and it does not show up in the Video App. This is very frustrating (= very upset Apple customer) You spend money to see something remotely, wait along time to download it, potentially incur or use precious minutes with your limited data plan and in the end can not view it. Additionally, the entire process has some severe usability issues. Why do you have to go to another App to see your movies. When you click purchase you should be first presented a download time bar and then either as it is in the midst of being downloaded be able to start watching it and/or after it has been downloaded you should be provided the movie to view it. Not bumped to the landing page of the iTunes App. how stupid is that. So you are there at the landing page for iTunes. Your first inclination is to try to navigate within iTunes to see it. If it is a,TV show that you rented your first inclination is to go to the TV show section. Then form there you will like deduce that you need to go to Purchases. but when you click Purchases it instead takes you first to Music purchases. Then you might see or realize that there is a,TV show tab in the Purchases section, so you go there and and as opposed to showing you a chronological list of most recent individual purchases is defaults to a list of full seasonal TV show purchases, so then you see the seasonal show and it show an iCloud butont to download then entire season, hmm that would suck to then download the entire season, use all your minutes and then not be able to view any show cause even thoses don't show up in the Apple video App. I mean come on this really terrible, TERRIBLE useability.
So I have gone to the Apple Video App and nothing shows. I have done a search from the Apple search you can access when swiping right from the initial page of App icons. I actually see the TV show name listed from the title name search I do. And indeed it shows an associated Video App icon but when I click it momentarily (split second looks to be loading the video App and then crashes? And takes me back to the first screen of App icons.
So I simply can not watch any show with ITunes.
Netflix on the hand make the entire process a one click experience.

Help! My phone will not play sound when an app is open?!

Seemingly out of the blue, my iPhone stopped playing sound through the external speaker. This began about a month or two ago and I have been unable to fix the problem. The sound will play through the external speaker until I open another app (safari, camera, etc.). The sound used to work through headphones until this morning. Now the sound won't work... At all! I brought my phone to an apple store a week ago and the first guy checked my phone with a flashlight and told me first that there didn't seem to be any water damage. Then, some other technician helped me. He opened iTunes and miraculously, the song played! I couldn't believe it was magically working. He explained that it looked like my dock connector was looking a little eroded and that is why the sound doesn't work. He said he could try to brush it out and that should fix the problem. Tried my phone later... Volume doesn't work anymore! The dock connector works fine otherwise, I am still able to charge my phone. My phone will not play music via bluetooth speaker. I talked to multiple people on the phone who all seem to think it's a software problem... I am really not understanding what is going on with my phone! I have googled this problem many times in the last few months and most people say that it turned out to be a software issue. I have checked both water indicators (in the dock connector and the headphone plug, right?) with a flashlight and I don't see any red... Any insight or ways to fix this would be very appreciated! The whole thing makes no sense to me.

Are you using an APple charger or a thrid-party one? I ask because if you are using a third party charger, it may not be wired properly and it may be telling your iPhone that the cable connected is also an audio interface so your iPhone may be sending the audio signals through the cable to the charger. I have a charger in my truck that also doubles as an FM transmitter so I can play my iPhone audio through the truck radio. Your charger may be doing something similar, especially if it is not an Apple charger.

Will not play Netflix, my videos or other videos (network apps downloaded ABC, CW etc).
I tried to re-install clear my internet history. I also waited until it was full charged.
Not sure what to do, everything else is working perfect.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.
