Having issues when try to burn a disc., which I never had an issue doing. Yesterday when I tried to burn a playlist it says "checking media" but just sits there. I know drive is working because I can put in a purchased cd and can import it into my library, but now it just sits there and hums until I maually eject the disc.Before all this started it said something about that I should "calibrate disc", since then it won't let me do any burning. I can't find any options in " preferences to change anything except the burn speed. Any suggestions? Tried rebooting, tried using my wifes iTunes on same comptuer.
Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

I am running WIndows7. I boot up load itunes and it runs fine.. all aspects.

Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, make sure you do this below to prevent same problem after restarting windows:
Go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows. -

I cannot set up icloud on my iphone 4s. When I go to settings it always says check your email but when I check my email there is none sent to me.
Check your spam folder to be sure it isn't there. If not, try going to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and Manage your account. There should be a link there to resend the verification email.

What do i do if everytime i try to burn a disc it says medium write error
I can usually burn CDs without a problem but everyonce in awhile it says there is a "medium write error". Normally i just change the disk and retry it and it works, but this time i have wasted 4 CDs trying to burn a playlist. So what do i do?

Hi during playing around with my MBA i think i have despite all the warnings deleted everything from my laptop. I do not have a back up or usb start up. when i boot the laptop it says no bootable device found, i have tried various configerations of alt cntr r etc the best i can get it to is a spinning grey globe that says looking for internet connection. it does not see my wifi so i do have a usb-rj45 adapter that if i plug into the R/H side usb port lets it see the internet (i think) it then brings up a down load bar but this never moves and in the end brings an error nummber up i think it was -0007 or -0002.
Do i have to buy new mountain lion or usb start up stick
I have access to a windows PC (not mac) so can use this to create a usb if someone helps an idiot out

It gdisk to be installed, and a bit of terminal knowledge, but it fixed the problem for me. For this step:
add partion 5 to the MBR
It was partition 4 for me. You should first use gdisk's 'p' command to find the number of your bootcamp partition, and then use that number. -
The screen doesn't redraw when I click a link, so it looks like it's just sitting there frozen.
Moving the mouse pointer makes the content "magically" appear. If I keep moving the mouse around, I can watch as the screen updates; otherwise, I do something on another tab and come back to it. The same goes for watching things like slideshows or videos that appear in an overlay on a website. This website is a good example, but it happens any time there should be a screen transition.

This happens on any Windows 7 computer on which I've used Firefox 4.Looking at your installed extensions, I would be guessing either the Free Download Manager plugin or Skype extension (last is unlikely as it's deactivated, but you never know..).
You can test if it's an add-on problem by starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] - if there is no longer an issue in Firefox Safe Mode, it is almost certain that one of the add-ons are at fault. -

Whenever I try to upload photos into iPhoto, they load but when importing it just stops a picture or two into it and then just sits there. I can't stop the import so I have to shut off my camera when it is importing and start again. Does anyone know how to fix this?
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Tru importing from your camera to it and to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

When I clicked to open Firefox the update bar appeared and an update loaded. Usually when this happens Firefox will open up when the update is finished. This time it did not open. when I clicked on the icon again the blue screen opened and said something about a new installation and if this was the first time you have seen this screen restart your computer and try again. I restarted the computer and when I clicked on the Firefox icon the "hour glass" would appear like it was trying to open but it never would open. I don't know what else to do.

Time Machine on my iMac won't open iPhoto. It goes to desktop screen automatically. When I select User/Picture/Iphoto library it only brings up the preview page with the size of the folder. I can't get into the library to look for lost photos.
Thank You. This helps me alot to get into the masters and to see events and photos in a utilitarian way, but it is not as easy as viewing the normal iphoto format to find photos. Can I do something else or did I not do something right to not see normal iphoto in Time Machine ?
