HT1349 How do I get off an iCloud backup pop up that has locked my ipad screen?
When I opened my ipad cover it had a pop up that said I hadn't backup my iCloud in 5 weeks and now the pop up won't go away. It acts like I am pushing the cancel button but won't go away or let me shut down. How do I get it to go away?
First thing I'd try is a reboot: Press and hold BOTH the poer and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.

If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).
Note that you haven't paid anything for your MobileMe storage since your first renewal date after 6 June 2011, and iCloud costs nothing unless you specifically choose to upgrade the storage. Note also the iCloud storage is not general file storage in the manner of the iDisk but is restricted to iOS device Backup, Mail, Photo Journal and Documents. -

The place that has the spot is about the size is about 2cm,it still works where the spot is. I haven't sat on my phone or hit it too hard, not that I remember. I noticed a while ago. Will it disappear? I can see the things that should be where the spot is eg it's on the keyboard and I can see the keys. Will this spread to the whole screen? How can u get rid of this?

Since downloading iOS 7, whenever I open the mail app, I am getting pop up previews of all the unread mail that I have asking me if I wish to either dismiss, or read the message. When I have quite a few emails, this can be an annoying, & time consuming task, which is totally unnecessary, as because I am opening the mail app, of course I am going to read or dismiss the emails.

kydd33 Good question! If you are looking to be removed from the family share plan, then the account owner would need to give you (or the person looking to take over your line ) permission. This is known as an Assumption of Liability (AOL). I am assuming that you want to keep your Verizon phone number and are looking to remain a Verizon Wireless customer. If so, the age requirement is atleast 18. Also, the current account has to have a current balance. If another VZW customer is taking your line over then their account would need to have a current balance, as well. To proceed, have the account owner call customer service and authorize that you can remove your line from their account. There is not a penalty or fee for the account owner.
