When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with.

You can download an iWork document from iCloud as a PDF, but you can't share a PDF document with iWork apps on iOS devices.

Yes, that is correct. The organizer is just a database, so your photos are wherever you put them intially. Did you import from iphoto? In that case, organizer does make duplicates (to avoid writing into the iphoto library, which would be a Bad Thing to do). If you didn't specify a location, the copies that PSE uses will be inside subfolders in the Adobe folder in your Pictures folder.

The app, if not restricted, may be hidden in your folders. If you go to settings, general, reset, reset home screen layout, you can rule that out.
Does your restore give you a specific error? If so, see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694 and http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
You can also restore from your iPod, by going to settings, general, reset, reset all content and settings, but make sure that you have created a backup beforehand.

What do you mean by encryption code?
- Do yu mean the for some reason when you want to restore from backup iTunes asks for the password?
- Do you mean that it has a screen-lock passcode and you do not remember the passscode?
Please provide more clear information. I do not really understand your poblem. I can't tell whee the music is, or what will not "upload".

.Xmp files and saving, and these other files that are also .NEFs

Okay, so my boss lives in Vancouver and I live in Ontario. I help her edit photos and then I email her a zip of all the .xmps. Now. Here is my question:
I am currently running LR 2.6, and at the end of my editing I select all the photos and save the metadata to files, but in the TOP LEFT HAND CORNER (you know, where it has that little in progress bar) it says it is saving a weird variation of my original NEF file.
For example...if I have a file that is originally called janie-awesome-0003.NEF it will save it as ._janie-awesome-0003.NEF (note the period and underscore before janie). So I can't tell if it has updated my .xmp files, so I can't tell as well if my boss is getting the proper files or not. I mean, she says she can see that the photos are edited, but is that metadata completely up to date??? This is what is freaking me out. What are those other NEF files? And why can't it just say "saving to .XMP" files instead of those weird NEF files?
So in my folder I have the original NEF files, the weird NEF files, and also the XMP. Does the XMP get overwritten when I save them? My Automatically save XMP is OFF so should I turn it on?
I am SO confused about the whole XMP thing!!!! How can I be sure that my boss is getting my COMPLETELY edited photos instead of just like my first sweep through or something?

Does your boss also use Lightroom? It would be a lot less effort for you to send back the work using File > Export as Catalog. So you would email her an exported catalogue of the images you've edited, and she would use File > Import as Catalog to bring your work into her catalogue. File names would have to stay the same, and there are other details that need to be handled.
The ._ problem is weird. Are the files on an internal or external drive? What sort of connection - USB? Mac or Windows?

Outlook anywhere, auto discover and multi CAS's that are not an array

exchange forest: 4 X exchange 2010 SP3. root is HQ, sites are B, C & D.
I set up auto discover by a SRV record in DNS and auto discover works perfectly for HQ users.
But when a user from Site B tries it, the delivered XML sent to their Outlook will redirect that person up to the Site B's server where it fails due to a mutual
validation error. This is because Outlook is expecting the SSL cert from HQ but gets Site B's.
In exchange 2007 this would not be a problem as there were no redirects, the client access server that hosted the autodiscover service would fetch the email and send it onto outlook from Site B's mailbox. So what I am looking for is either a setting that
will stop this redirect or a work around, one that I can think of is to turn off Outlook Anywhere on other CAS’s, leaving it only running on the root, HQ.
I’m not worried about capacity we have at most at any one time 10 Windows Outlook users outside the office as all the rest the remote users are either using IMAP or ActiveSync. So is shutting down outlook anywhere on B,C &D. Or is there a setting
that I can change on HQ to make it that it always goes through HQ.

Firstly, I’d like to explain, internal users in site B can always find the CAS serve in site B. Because Outlook clients firstly find the SCP records of the in-site list.
To make them use HQ site SCP record for its Autodiscover requests, we can set Site Affinity:
Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity "CAS in site HQ" –AutodiscoverServiceInternalURI "https://internalsitename/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml" -AutodiscoverSiteScope "site B",”site HQ”

The previous command only ensures the following:
• If an Outlook client is a member of the HQ Active Directory site, it will use the HQ SCP record for its Autodiscover requests.

iTunes Plus is the name for the option in iTunes that allows customers to buy music at the iTunes Store that is free from digital rights management, or DRM.
Digital Rights Management, or DRM, is designed to prevent unauthorized sharing of files. This especially became a big concern for the music industry after the rise of Napster, Limewire, and Kazaa.
DRM, even the DRM used by Apple on iTunes Store content, prevented that. Apple's DRM allowed users to share files on only up to 5 computers.
According to TUAW, the new iTunes Plus songs have information embedded in them that identifies the user who bought and shared them by name.
This means that if you share your music and record companies want to track you down and sue for you copyright infringement, it's going to be easy.

I have looked at the service manual to be able to access the App store and Itunes, to no avail, still not successful.

Thanks Don-yes i'm using the correct apple id and yes I've plugged the phone into the computer-that's the problem, my computer doesn't recognise my phone anymore altho it comes up in iTunes library it won't sync anymore

ok well like lllaass said, most apps require 4.3 or later iOS software. chances are since the apps worked before, the apps themselves got updated and will no longer work with your software version.
