HT1349 ipad2 keeps Restarting

After updating my ipad2 to 5.1 over wi-fi my ipad2 has been constantly coming on and restarting, non-stop!!!
----please any help would be greatly appreciated

I am the one who is also in that kind of trouble.
It started 2 months ago.
Yesterday, I restored it to factory default and then upgarded ios6 and still getting the same trouble.
I have tried what "alanfromnewtownards" said, but it remains unchange!
Moreover, I got the problem with the touch !
Sometimes, it works like several times though I touch one time.
Mine is Ipad2, 3G, 64Gb, ios6.

My new iPad 2 Keeps restarting automatically no matter what i am doing on it. Frequency is b/w 2 - 5 min.
Even if i turn it off it keeps switching itself back on and continues to be in the process.
Is it something to do with the S/W or any app or shuld i upgrade to something ? I am really confused and let down. Its not even been a day old.

  • Ipad2 keeps restarting..

This seems to be a common complaint. But here we go, I have an Ipad 2, it is no longer under warranty. Everytime I try to open anything (except angry birds for some reason), the app acts like it will open for a second or two, then restarts, including the apple logo. I try to hook it up to Itunes to do a system restore but it says its already in the middle of doing so and the ipad restarts again. I cannot even go to settings on my Ipad to do an erase because it just keeps restarting. Since my Ipad is no longer under warranty, I can't go to an Apple store either.. If anyone could help I would love it!

You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

  • HT1349 iPhone 4s keeps restarting

Does anyone have a solution to an iPhone 4s that keeps restarting at random? I have done a reset as per I tunes a power down and home button reset too. Any ideas? It also is weird about charging too. Like it can be on the cord an have a batt bolt as if charging but remains at the same percent for hours.
    Help!

    Try a hard reset:
    - hold the home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time
    - the phone will turn off but when the apple logo appears release both buttons
If the issue remains you would need to try and back up and restore your iPhone. Follow the articles below to do this:

  • My iPad2 keeps asking me to enter my password after updating to iOS5.1

    Hello,
I can't find the answer to this after lots of searching and it's driving me crazy!
My iPad2 keeps reverting back to the Lock screen and asks me to enter my password. This happens whilst in the middle of using apps, especially ones that involve video. This only started this week when it was updated to iOS5.1. When I sign back in, it is just on my Home screen and the app has shut down. When I go back into the app it isn't at the point that it forced me to leave it.
It is not technically my iPad and as a result I've got to have certain settings on it - I've got to have a password of at least 8 characters and I'm not allowed to reset the whole thing. I can't turn those settings off.
I have tried a restart by pressing the lock and home buttons at the same time, but that hasn't worked.
Is it possible to just go back to using iOS5? Or is there another way of fixing it?
    Any advice would be appreciated!

I don't know of a way to lock out of Settings. However, go to Settings > General > Restrictions. Although you cannot restrict settings, there are some other things that you can restrict, like app purchases, etc. Basically, what this will do is require a 4-digit passcode SEPARATE from the one used to unlock the iPad. No one can use features that you have chosen to restrict without knowing the password.

  • Why do I have to keep restarting iPad 2 to get emails to download when I am successfully connected to three blips of at home wifi ???

Why do I have to keep restarting my ipad2 to download my emails even though it is connected to my home wifi perfectly, Internet is working, but the circle just spins constantly and won't update ??? It is very frustrating !!!

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • My ipad2 keeps turning itself off and On

my ipad2 keeps turning itself off and on. I can be playing a game or looking on the Internet and it will just turn off and restart all by itself. I pulled up and hooked it up to itunes on my computer but I'm not really sure what to do there either.  It's so annoying, especially when it's used daily, or all day, by me or my kids and it's constantly shutting off in the middle of things.

DId the rebooting start recently after doing an iOS update or installing a game?
There could be several reasons for your iPad randomly shutting down & restarting.
Sometimes low memory (RAM) can cause the issue.
First, restart the iPad by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears then let go and wait until the iPad boots up normally.  This can help clear the cache & free up memory.
If that doesn't work, try a general reset:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings.  You will not lose any data but will have to log back into your Wifi networks.
If the issue occurs while using a particular app, try uninstalling the app to see if it continues.
As a last resort try restoring the iPad back to factory settings.  Be sure to backup your iPad first.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
Unfortunately, it may also be that your battery is starting to fail but try the above to see if the problem persists.

What happens when you install the original RAM?
    A 2009 15" model identifier 5.3 MBP will accept RAM with the following specifications:  204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
You have installed RAM with these specifications;  DDR3, 1333 MHz.  Should you install with the correct specifications, the MBP will probably operate correctly.
The best sources of Man compatible RAM are OWC and Crucial.

My new Macbook Pro Retina keeps restarting "due to a problem", when I open my skype it crashes and my imovie crashes all the time as well. I just got this computer last week. If someone could please help me out.
    Call Apple Care.
#1 - You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your computer with no questions asked.
#2 - You have 90 days of FREE phone tech support.
#3 - If you've purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan, your warranty last for 3 years.   You can obtain AppleCare anytime up to the first year of the purchase of your computer.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty.  Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

  • My 15-inch, Mid 2010 Macbook Pro keeps restarting

Sorry if this has been asked here before but I've been having lots of trouble with my Macbook Pro lately and I'm not sure what to do. It keeps restarting all the time and I've noticed that it mostly occurs while I'm using the Type Tool in Photoshop. Which is very upsetting because I use that program a lot and I'm not sure what to do about this. The problem started earlier this year and has since gotten significantly worse, especially after upgrading to "Mavericks" OS X 10.9.4".
Processor  2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
And here's the report that I received on the latest restart:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the reply!!! This really means a lot!  I'm not familiar with that software and admittedly, I'm not all that tech savvy.
If I download this, does this mean I can use Photoshop again (Albeit temporarily)? And will disabling the GPU have any negative effects on my computer?
And I've also seen that a few other people have had similar problems with their "Mid-2010 Macbook Pro's" - is this because of a faulty hardware problem? And is the solution to have it replaced?
Sorry for all the questions by the way. Like I said, I'm not all that tech savvy but I really want to fix this and start using my computer like I used to before. Also, I live in the Territories in Canada and have no access to any Apple Stores so I can't really book a Genuis Bar appointment until my next holiday, which, sadly, won't be for quite awhile.
Again- thank you so much for the reply!!! : )

  • Macbook Pro Keeps Restarting Itself and then totally crashed

    Dear all.
    I am using Macbook Pro 13-inch (i7 2.9 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3, 750 GB) with OS X Maverick (10.9.4).
For the last few months, my Macbook Pro kept restarting itself and I usually ignored this issue until yesterday, my MBP fail to boot up, only display the grey apple logo and rolling icon below for almost 30 mins.
I tried the safe mode and reset NVRAM method and it still fail to boot up and sometimes a black text appears (aka kernel panic).
Then i took my macbook pro to the nearest Apple service provider and the technician said that it was probably due to the 750 GB Hard Disk since the HD itself is a faulty product, therefore we can't find any 750 GB HD nowadays. So he recommended me to replace my current HD with a new HD. I took his advice and I replaced it with 1 TB Toshiba HD. And then the technician reformat my MBP and installed the OS X Maverick. My Macbook pro able to boot up now.
However the next day I still find my MBP keeps restarting itself (until now) and take note that I didn't install any new softwares, I only updated the available  updates in Apps Store for the OS, iBooks, and iTunes.
Can anyone recommend me what to do? Is this a Hardware problem or software problem?
I'm thinking to switch back to OS Lion to see whether this is mainly due to OS Maverick.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately yes.   Since the computer is unable to boot up, that part of the software starts BEFORE the OS would.  Last time I had this problem, it turned out to be a faulty GPU (soldered to the logic board) and i needed to replace the logic board.    If you wanted to, you could indeed back up your personal data (you should ANYWAY, no matter what you do)  and you could try to do a fresh install,  but I'm fairly confident you are experiencing either faulty ram, or a faulty logic board.

  • I updated my iPod to the newest software and now my it keeps restarting. I can't view anything. The logo is the only thing I can see. I can't even turn it off.

I hooked my iPod touch (4th generation) up today and it said that there was new software to be downloaded so I downloaded it. Everything seemed fine but when it was complete it restarted and restarted and is continuing to keep restarting. Has been for a good hour. I can't turn it off, restore or anything. What can I do?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
