How do you change the name of your phone? Thank you...this was a suggestion from a blog regarding the Bluetooth problem that has resulted from the most recent upgrade---lost the audio capabilities suddenly in my car as have other people and there is nothing that Apple has had me do that has restored it! I am not a very happy camper regarding this dilemma! thank you for your help though!

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device. -
I have tried everything and get this same error message on my iPhone and iPad. Yahoo account works fine on pc. I can receive emails and use Internet on apple devices but cannot send mail. Thanks.

I have been trying to download items from itunes store, but keep getting the error message "your Apple ID has been disabled. I changed the password and updated billing information, but still get this error message. This involves free apps which I was trying to install.
I am having the same problem. I went through the process to have the ID unlocked (Changing password etc.) and was able to log in here on the website to post this message. Why am I still getting "Your Apple ID has been disabled" as a message after verifying the account here and signing in and out on my Device. This has been issue on my Ipad as well.

How do I change the password of a sparseimage?
I searched for an answer to this question, but the information I found was out of date. Apparently there used to be a "Change password" item in the "Images" menu of Disk Utility. Now (under Mac OS 10.7, a.k.a. Lion) it seems there's just a "Change" menu, and when I try to make changes, it tries to make a new image rather than simply changing the password. The sparseimage file I want to make the change to is massive (410 GB), and I don't have room (not to mention time) on any other disks to make another copy. It seems odd that one wouldn't be able to change the password fairly easily. Thanks for any help you can offer.
i just had these question too, and i just find out how to do it on mountain lion, just go to utility disk, and select the desire sparceimage from the side bar, ( if you have the disk image open you need to exit first, or you wont be able to select the change password option, on disk utility top menu, go to > file> change password - after that you just select the sparseimage and change the password.
if disk image is mounted it wont work, -
My Apple id was disabled and had to make a new one for iTunes but it's not letting me erase then re download the app with the new Apple ID Just got an iPad air 2 so my iCloud and family sharing is with the one that's disabled. Which I don't know how to switch to my new one, so I trying to erase my apps that won't load and just re download them with my new ID that is being used with the iTunes n app store but I can't even find most in purchased plus it's saying that I can't get it cuz that ID is not with family sharing but I donT know why it would not be. OOk so I have my new Apple id in my iTunes account but my old Apple ID is the one that is in the iCloud account which is the Apple ID have been using for years and the reason I cannot get it on this abled is because somebody was using my credit card or debit card that was on file for family sharing and it was a stolen iPhone from my account so they had to disable my Apple ID and I could not use my debit card anymore on any Apple ID ever again they said because of it so I can't get it not to be disabled and I can't sign into iTunes with it I already have signed out and signed in with my new Apple ID for iTunes it's just iCloud is not letting me load anything so pretty much what I've been doing is I have to erase every app and then re-dumb going to iTunes and re-download the apps again but the only issue is that I still have a disabled Apple ID as my iCloud settings and my iCloud family sharing in all of that so I'm wondering how or is it possible to change my Apple ID for iCloud specifically because when I go into Icloud and settings and go into my name where my Apple ID is the one that's disabled it doesn't say anything about log out or sign out or anything like that it just says to put the password for it so is there a way to change the Apple ID for my iCloud so that my iTunes in my iCloud is the same Apple ID?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
When your account becomes disabled, Apple provides the following recommendation:
"This message means that someone tried and failed to sign in to your account multiple times. The Apple ID system disables the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You need to reset your password, following the instructions at the Apple ID website".
Visit iForgot.com and follow the instructions there.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
