Phone screen is blank when someone calls me after ringing it goes to voice mail. Can't get the button up top to move so can't turn phone off or reset any suggestions

Get it serviced, it is a hardware problem.

Most likely.
You can try to boot from the Install DVD for your Mac and run AHT from there if it boots.
If not it sounds like it is time to take it to Apple for repair.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I've tried that. It doesn't work. The only thing that happens is the apple comes up. I've tried holding the home as I'm plugging it in and keeping it held for a few minutes, but nothing happens. My iTunes doesn't even read that it's connected.

Iphone won't turn off and keeps turning on..

About a couple of weeks ago I noticed that my Iphone (not3g) was randomly turning on by itself to the start screen, and would stay on for about 10 seconds. Also, it randomly turns on with the "This accessory is not made to work with the iPhone" message. This quickly drains the battery. Also, I can't shut my phone down. When i do the Slide to Power Off, it just restarts. I have already tried a restore and that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Tried that too and after fiddling with it literally all morning, it seems to be fixed. The last two things I did were to delete all of my applications, resync (not reinstalling any applications) and used canned air to blow out both the cord connections slot and the earphone plug opening (of course I did this last night too, without any results). Now my phone is working again. I can shut it off, it doesn't wake itself up every few minutes and I'm not getting the airport error message. Fingers crossed that this holds...I may try to reinstall one app at a time (maybe one per day) and see if I can isolate the app that I'm assuming is causing the problem.

My problem with the computer is that it will not turn on. The battery is fully charged, power cord is plugged into a working outlet. I have held down the power button for 10 second or even longer. Nothing turns it on and the power cord doesn't light up at all. Any thing will help.

I tried to restore my iPod touch with iTunes, then I got error 1601. From this moment, the device won't turn on. The home button is broken and warranty is expired, so I don't know how to solve this problem. I know people who press power and home button at the same time, (and it works) but as I said, the home button is broken. To troubleshoot this issue where your MacBook Air will not power on, I'd like you to please reset the SMC as directed below.
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

i just bought this iphone off of ebay for giggles. did not know a thing about it but that it would not turn on and i just assumed it was the battery. restore and nothing like that works. My computer won't recognize it. When you plug it in whether a wall jack or a computer via usb it gets really hot to the point where you can't touch it. Now before I hack it apart and try my best to put an ebay battery in it. would apple take it back even though it is out of warranty due to safety reasons? has anyone else had this problem? any fixes?

Not a good idea to update iOS software just using the battery. Updates can take as long as an hour depending on your internet connection.
Charge the battery either form a wall outlet or your computer until it's 100%
Then restore.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
