HT1349 my mac is giving me a plug in error every time i am on the internet and change web pages...... how do I fix this?

If sounds like you either have a missing or misconfigured browser plug-in. If you are using Safari, you should be able to disable all current plug-ins one at a time untll the error disappears. This should give you an idea on which one is the problematic one.
Sorry, but this is not really an AirPort networking issue but one related to your browser. As such you may get better responses to your issue if you post your question in one of the OS X areas of the Apple Support Communities.

i am trying to connect my mac and PC through my network. the pc can seen and connect with the mac, but my mac can only see the pc it can't connect. how do i fix this?
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

I've installed the Adobe Reader Plug In. Yet every time I click to see a PDF, it opens another browser and it is blank. The Browser reads about:blank. How can I fix this so that PDF's open in the browser?

Here are some possible solutions:
Do you use musicmatch jukebox on your computer? If you do, you have to go into task manager on windows and end process mim.exe. It interferes with disconnecting ext devices
Empty your "trash/recycle bin."
If that doesn't work, try quitting all your programs, especially music-type programs, basically things that look for mp3's etc.
if that doesn't work, "log off" then "log on" and that should refresh/purge your OS system.
Finally, you can restart your computer.

Just updated my iPhone 5s from ios 8.1 to 8.3. After the install it asked for Apple ID and password and to allow it to sync to Mac and iTunes. After following the steps my phone kept restarting - turning on and off and goes blank. How do I fix this??
I have had about 9 iOS devices at work do this.
The fix and it will wipe out anything on your iphone is to connect it to your computer and have the latest version on iTunes open. Hold the Power/Sleep and Home button till it blanks out. Keep holding the home button untill it says recovery mode on the screen of the computer and do a restore. -
hi! i went to go slide the thing to unlock my iphone 4 and it wouldnt slide, it froze up and everything is not working. i tried plugging it in but it is still frozen and nothing will work. how do i fix this?
My recommendation is to restart the iPhone. All you do is hold down the top button and hold down the home button for 5 seconds untill it automatically shuts down. Then click the top button untill you see a grey apple on your screen.

When i plug headphones into my computer, the speakers do not shut off. how do i fix this?
I am running Windows & on an HP. not sure of the model number. But the sound system is IDT. It worked fine up until about a year ago. And now whenever you plug headphones in, the speakers do not turn off, but yet the headphones still work. any solutions?
When in DFU mode and connected to the computer iTunes does not say anything but iTunes will see the iPod and you can restore the iPod via iTunes. When in recovery mode and you connect, iTunes will say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Try starting your Mac holding the Option (Alt) key, so you should see all bootable devices on the screen. If you see the OS X volume, select it. After starting, open System Preferences > Startup Disk, and choose the OS X volume.
If you don't see anything, try holding the key after hearing the startup chime. If you still don't see anything, your hard disk could be damaged -

I tried the C key and re-installed Mac OS x 10.5 from the installer disc. I didn't run software update. When I restarted my PowerBook, it got stuck at the same point i.e there is a blank space in the top menu bar where the day and time should be displayed. I then spotted that the spotlight icon had a glowing dot in the middle. I clicked on it and it said something like 'spotlight is indexing the computer'. I left it alone but after a while the computer went into sleep mode and when I re-woke it, it was still at the same point and there was no audible hard drive noise. I'm not quite sure what to do next? Maybe I should try and re-install the original Mac OS 10.1 that came with the laptop. What do you think? -
Mac Pro starts up and then shuts down, how do I fix this?
Recently when I start up my Mac Pro it start its process and then I see the Apple Logo and then the screen goes black and the monitor says I think something like no digital signal. I have to start up my Mac Pro a number of times before it finally stays open. Because I use to see a bright flash when the Mac Pro would start up or shut down, I thought that may be the problem had to do with my monitor but I'm not sure. I tried disk utilities and Tech Tools Pro 6 but nothing so far has helped the problem. I don't think its my harddrive since all test say its OK. Then I remembered some says something that computers have an internal battery and that they need to be replaced from time to time. I don't know if my Mac Pro has a battery but does anyone know if this would cause my problem?
There is a pram battery but I don't think that's the cause of your problem.
Have you blown all the accumulated dust out of your machine?
Try reseating the video card, maybe the ram too.
Run Apple Hardware Test (boot from your second installer DVD, push D down immediatly after the boot chime). -
My Mac Pro was playing music at a gathering and it stopped playing music. When I plugged in the AUX cord, it wouldn't play any of the music from iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, or YouTube. It would recognize something was plugged in because I have it on the setting where if you remove the cord it skips to the next song, but wouldn't play the music. I don't know if this is a hardware or software issue but I am updating everything and trying the best I can to fix it. I really like netflix and no audio is kind of a bummer.
First check System Preferences/Sound - check all the settings to make sure mute is not selected.
Repair permissions & restart.

Open up GarageBand if installed then, open a program (optional).
Quit out of the GarageBand app.

I've been using firefox with my Mac book. Yedsterday, I got a message to update from version 3.6 to 6.0 in 3 steps. Step 1 was to download version 6.0. It appeared on the list of downloads as Firefox 6.0 dmg. However Step 1 , which was to open the download, stopped at 79% of the download version. So I have not been able to update to version 6.0.
I want to make sure you're using the auto-update system, because that's the safest most reliable way to go, and it shouldn't appear in the download manager, so I lets make sure you're doing it right. <br/>

If that doesn't work, then maybe your Snow Leopard account doesn't have permission to update applications? -
My IMac turns off unexpectedly in both Mac & Windows mode. I've repaired disc and permissions using the Snow Leopard install disk and cleared the cache without help. Any ideas how to prevent this?
The HAT test detected no problems. Perhaps one of the peripherals, e.g., the backup disk, is causing the problem. I'll try to run the MAC without peripherals for a few days and see what happens, unless you have other suggestions.
