Have purchased above from John Lewis Cheadle 02/02/12, including in purchase price was set up charges.
Didnt appear a problem until this morning when attempting to 1st time use
Simple but true, have attempted to enter password as instructed but where/how do I enter?
After several attempts and failed it now is extending next attempts by 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and so on
Simple explanation Im sure, please advise

Your description of who you purchased your ipad from seems unnecessary to solve the problem you are having. The password is entered on the lock screen. After a certain number of unsuccessful tries (maybe 10?) you'll be locked out. You'll have to restore the iPad. Since it sounds like you havent really used it, this shouldn't be a problem. Do you know how to do this?

    Thanks for the suggestion, Chris.  I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer. 
    it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used). 
    even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps.  however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
    If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.

    Are you using Mail or iPhoto as mail client?
    I'd try to use a different default mail account than Yahoo! mail in iPhoto. Open the list of your account in the "iPhoto Preferences > Accounts" and drag a different account to the top of the list.Yahoo! mail is giving many problems recently with always prompting for passwords, not only in iPhoto.

    FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally. 
    If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
    Try resetting Network Settings
    Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
    You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
    Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again.

    If you don't have an apple device you may be out of luck.  I don't know.  I'm still waiting for help just as you are...good luck to both of us though.

    You've connected the iPad via cable to your computer, and your computer's iTunes is up-to-date ? If it's icon isn't showing then try one of these troubleshooting pages :
    PC : iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
    Mac : If you don't see your connected device in iTunes for Mac - Apple Support
    If the iPad is disabled then you'll need to reset the iPad back to factory defaults, after which you can restore to your backup

    Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:
    iOS: Unable to update or restore and iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
    If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

    Since we can't read minds :-) we need more troubleshooting details to help you:
    # What model of Android tablet or phone are you using? What version of Android are you using (e.g. Jellybean 4.1-4.3, Kitkat 4.4, Lollipop 5.0, 5.1, etc)?
    # What version of Firefox for Android are you using? (please try the latest version which is currently FF37.0.1)
    # What did you do exactly, what happened and what did you expect? (details please! in particular what steps did use to get to "I have had to reset my account password several times and it still will not work" and which "account" do you mean?)

    That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
    So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
    First we'll need to change some view settings.
    In your Start menu, open Computer.
    In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
    In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
    Click OK.
    Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
    Open the "Windows" folder.
    If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
    If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
    What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

    The way you "unlock" it is by typing in the correct password. The lock indicates a private network that requires a password. Are you sure you have the correct password? Is this your own home network?
    Why don't you reboot your iPad and try to log in again. Hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the button and the iPad will shut off. Turn back on by pressing the sleep button again until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. See if the iPad will accept your password.
    If that doesn't work, you could try tapping the blue arrow next to the network name and then tap Forget This Network. Restart your iPad as described above. Then go back to settings, tap WiFi, select the network and enter the password again and see if it works.
