The photo option in ICloud on my computer will not activate (it is grayed out) after I load the Icloud download. My Ipad and iphone are sharing my photo stream photos but cannot get to my computer. I read all the instructions and reloaded Cloud 2 x but again will not activate the photo sharing piece.
I don't have a Recently Added playlist. However, I discovered that the file I had named Eating Healthy was given the name You Can Enjoy Eating Healthy when it copied to iTunes. I'm guessing iTunes pulled the full name of the piece from the internet. Upshot--the mp3 did transfer to iTunes on all 3 tries, but I was looking in my alphabetized list under E, not Y, so I didn't see it there. Thanks for your help.

Not through iCloud, but are they still on your iPad or iPhone? Open Photos, then go to the Albums and see if they are still in the main Camera Roll rather than My Photo Stream. If they are in there, it would be a good idea to sync the devices to a computer so you can store the photos.

I can update data from my Mac to my iPhone and iPad, and from my iPhone to my Mac and iPad, but cannot get data to update from my iPad to either my Mac or my iPhone.
If new calendar events entered on your iPad do not appear on icloud.com, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar on your iPad and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPhone, a Gmail or Yahoo calendar, etc. If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
If your settings are correct and new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your iPad to your calendar on icloud.com. Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date with your iPad, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a 15 seconds or so, turn Calendars back to On. Then add a new event on your iPad and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now, and on your other devices. -
The latest update for iCloud has downloaded, but, will not install, even when tried manually. The QuickTime update which was on the same page was ok though!

Couldn't you attach your iPhone to your computer and upload and add your iPhone Contacts to your iTunes Contacts and then sync the iPhone? Add one unique contact and calendar entry to your computer. You should then get the option to merge.

Yes - I sync my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch with the same computer / iTunes and haven't had any issues when doing so. The computer's iTunes will recognise the device and what syncing selections you have for it, so you can have different selections of apps, music, films etc on them if you want.

How do I get my new gmail password to work on iPhone and iPad? Tried the basics already.
Hi I had to reset my password for my gmail account and since then have been unable to load my gmail on either my phone or iPad. After resetting I am unable to load my gmail account on both my iPhone and iPad instead I get the error message, "Cannot Get Mail The user name or password for 'imap.gmail.com' is incorrect." I've seen that others have had similar problems would like some guidance. Thank you.
You have to go into Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, tap on the gmail account, and enter the new password. I 2 places, one for incoming, one for outgoing.

As I have said in the title, I was supposed to do a restore on my iPad for work. I backed up the device and then I restored it to factory settings as I was instructed. Now that all of that is complete, I tried to restore it from the back up point I created and it will not recognize my Apple ID password. I really hope that I won't lose all of my data, but I don't know what else to do. I have tried entering my password numerous times. I really hope that someone can help me.Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password. -

I created a photo stream of my daughter from birth to 12 months which plays in the correct order on my ipad and iphone and anyone elses devices. When i play it on Apple TV they always play in reverse. I know it can also show the pictures randomly, but the point of doing it was to let relatives in other parts of the world see her as she grows! I cannot find any settings to alter this. I would be grateful for any advice on how to change this. Thanks
I agree this is a really dumb change and I really hope Apple changes it back to the way it was.
In iOS 6 and earlier when you were in the Music player and selected ARTIST it would show a list sorted by artist. When you selected the artist you wanted, it would show a list of their albums. Then you could select the album and see the list of songs. In iOS 7 after you select Artist, it displays the album and every track, so you have to scroll down through not only the album but every track on that album. That was a really stupid change on Apple's part. Makes no sense.
Here is the list of albums under iOS 6.x...
and here is what is looks like under iOS 7.0
In iOS 7.0 you have to scroll down through all the songs to see the other albums. That can be a really pain if you have a large music collection.
Please Apple change it back to the way it was!! This didn't need to change! -
Cannot get or send mail using Apple Mail on iPhone and iPad
Everyone in my household cannot get or send mail on their Apple Mail for iPad and iPhone. We all get the same message: "The user name or password for [account] is incorrect." This just started happening yesterday afternoon. No problems before that. I called my hosting company and Apple, and both blamed the other. My Apple system is always updated, so I have the latest version of Maverick. Had no problems with it up until now.
However, I awoke this morning to find downloaded emails in the same program, but when I go to "get mail," it says the same thing, and still won't allow me to send or receive.
Here's the kicker. I also use Gmail with the exact same accounts (yes, I need both since Apple Mail does things that Gmail doesn't, and vice versa). No problem! I get all my emails and can send with no problem. So, my hosting company claims it can't be them (makes sense). It only happens using Apple Mail, and I have several email addresses. None of them work (other than the strange phenomena of suddenly getting some of them downloaded for no apparent reason).
What do I do from here? I've changed passwords, deleted and tried to set up my emails, only to get the message that they probably will not work. And they don't. I have shut down and restarted my iPad and iPhone, to no avail.
Thank god for my Gmail account, or my business would be closed.
Again, this is happening on four devices in my home: 2 iPads and 2 iPhones.I have a comcast account I use on my phone and use it for receiving and sending mail. When you look at the account in settings, you need to check each of these
incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net
username: the part of your email address before the @
password: your password
outgoing mail server: smtp.comcast.net
Under Advanced
Use SSL: On
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 995
If you cannot make it work from changing settings in the account, delete the account and start over. Use the "Other" setting when starting the account. It is a POP3 account and make the entries I gave you. Once you do that, it should check the entries and validate the account. You shouldn't have any trouble from there. Those settings will work from either the iPhone on cell, or wireless. Mine will even work when I'm at home on my wireless there, which is on the Comcast network.

iTunes will only play about half of my music downloaded or ripped. What is the deal? Also recording is shut off. How do I turn that back on?

Please!Now I just uninstalled iTunes 7.7 (or whatever the latest one is) and then restarted my computer, but apparently some files have been left over, because the version of iTuens that I'm attempting to install (7.6) says that it cannot install because a later version of iTunesis installed. Then it lists a Library file and says that it cannot install because a newer version of iTunes created the Library File.

When I now plug in my iPhone 4S and 3rd gen iPad into my laptop to update and charge neither devises recognise the other? A box comes up at the beginning saying the Apple mobile devise is not switched on! What is this and is this what is stopping my devises working?
