HT1349 What if you can't turn on your phone and computer won't read it. How do you get support
How can I get support if my iphone won't come on or connect to computer. It went off while talking on it. It has a charge and has been running good.
Hold down the home and power buttons at the same time. It may take 20 seconds or so. This should force it to reboot. If it doesn't, make an appointment at the genius bar.

I've tried buying new chargers and plugging them into different outlets around the house but the iPod will not respond to anything. The home button is broken so I can't reset the iPod by holding both the home and lock screen buttons down, and it won't even connect to iTunes when plugged into my computer. How can I fix this issue? The iPod never overheated or anything, and it still had charge left before it quit responding.
Unfortunately for you, the home button is necessary for reset and also to put the device into recovery mode or DFU mode. Since that is not working, and the device is not recognized in iTunes, check the charging port area. There could be dust, lint, etc, that is blocking the connection for charging, and connecting to iTunes. If nothing seems wrong there, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider, depending on your location. There is no other option.

Audiobooks will download to the Music app on an iPad - when you have audiobooks on the iPad you should get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases if you have iTunes 11 on your computer) so that you can take a backup of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your computer's iTunes library -

After a while i realized that my ipod was almost dead on power so when i was about to charge it, it turned off. i turned on and charged it and then i left it charging. when i came back my ipod was off and now it won't turn on even if i reset it or charge it from my pc. help!
Try a different power outlet, then try restarting your iPod by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

On your phone: Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content & Settings, or Plug it in, iTunes running, and hit the "Restore" button on the Summary Pane...eject when finished. Either choice will return the phone to a state just like it was when first taken out of the box.

I just backed up my mac to an external hard drive using Time Machine. What would happen if I turn Time Machine off and then plug the external hard drive back into my computer?
What I am ultimately wanting to do is make more room on my computer by backing up all of my files onto the external hard drive and then deleting them off of my computer. However, neededing to be able to retrieve them from the external hard drive later down the road.
From what I have read and am trying to understand, is that I probably shouldn't have used time machine. I need to use the external hard drive like a basic flash drive where I can put things on and get things off without having it automatically update through time machine everytime I connect it to my computer.

BIG BIG MISTAKE ..... youre making a linchpin deathtrap for your data trying to shove everything on a single fragile HD.
Dont suffer the tragedy other people make, buy another or 2 more HD, theyre cheap as dust.
The number of people who have experienced terror by having a single external HD backup is enormous. One failure that WILL HAPPEN, and kaput,......all gone!
Dont do it, its all about redundancy, redundancy, redundancy.

Deleting them off your computer is fine....having only ONE copy is extremely BAD.

If you let a $60 additional redundant hard drive and 3 hours of copying stand between you and years of work, then you've made a fundamental mistake countless 1000s of people each year have come to regret. -
What would happen if I turn off my backup and delete backup data From my device? Will it delete my music and everything for ever or just stay in the cloud but not on my device?
If you have multiple devices backing up to the Cloud, you will see all of them listed. You would click on each device to change what is backed up from that device. You can then delete your individual back-ups.
Once you have all your settings to your liking, you can then go back to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, and click on Back Up Now (bottom of the screen) to create a fresh backup with your new settings.

How can I turn off this "feature" and have the power button bring me the shut down / restart / sleep dialog by default again?
With the position of the power button on the Retina MacBooks, any mistake turns off the screen in the middle of a presentation or any activity using a projector or big screen — a huge waste of time to wake up the display, enter password, have the projector sync back, watch audience disconnecting from what was being discussed, etc.
This is very annoying, and seems to add to the increasing collection of options Apple decided to make by itself instead of allowing the user to choose.
Come on Apple guys, I'm using my Mac because I want options and lots of preferences to tweak to my needs.
If I needed the lobotomized version I'd be using my iPad!
Any way (official or hack) to change this button back to its proper funcionality?

Not what you want, but you can get the shut down / restart / sleep dialog by holding the power button -
i can't turn off my phone.
it is a 3 or 3s whatever but none the less i cant re boot it.
can anyone helpPress the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until your phone turns off. You can either release at that point or keep pressing until you see the Apple logo...that's an iPhone reset.

Last week I've install Mac OS X Mountain Lion and then after the installation finish my IMAC start up in verbose mode. How can I turn off this mode and start my IMAC normally. I've try to key in the code "sudo nvram boot-args=" in terminal also.
