please help me to get my music back
Maybe we will if you tell us what you did to make it disappear. Or I guess I could type in a list of 100 solutions to all the possible reasons and you could scroll through a 20 page post by me.

hi, have a iphone/macbook itunes prob. i connected my phone to mac to add songs, and it wiped 99% of music from my phone. on the mac it still lists the songs on my phone but they are greyed out. can anyone help? very frustrated and want my music back.
I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Allllright.
So iTunes has been deleting my library every time I open it, and I'd really like to have my music back. So I went to bestbuy last night and bought Tunes Plus (I was assured that this would work), and of course..it doesn't.
My problem is that the software reads my iPod, and knows that there are songs on there, and it's just not showing up. I know my iPod has to be enabled for disk use, and I did that.
Has anyone used Tunes Plus or know of a program that actually works?
(I have a video iPod and windows XP)

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

New hard drive and old ipod touch...I want my music back :{
My computer crashed 3 weeks ago ( I lost everything and had to install a new hard drive, so it's like a brand new computer) I read some instructions about this issue but I wasn't sure if i re download itunes and I am unsure what the steps are to get my itunes library back on my computer. Do I reinstall itunes? How do i sync my ipod to my computer? I just need plain old good help because I don't want tp lose everthing! Thanks! Also I am not the brightest with computer so please dumb it down for me...lol!!!
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just this reason.
Use your backup copy to put evefrything back on your computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy , not ggod, then you can transfer itunes purchases form an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases.

I just got a new PC and we downloaded iTunes as soon as we got it. My dads library was on there already so I decided to make my own. I synced my iPod and next thing you know all of my bought music is gone. How can I recover it? It was about 40 songs. And I bought all of them! If I can't get them back, can I get a refund?
You only get one download of music and it is up to you to make a backup. Do you have the other music on another computer so you can move it to the new computer? Apple has been know to sometimes authorize a redownload. You can contact them here (select iTunes account and billing).

I have over 4000 songs collected over the years, mostly copied from CD that I purchased. I am unable to access them, how do I get them back on my hard drive and off the cloud?

In Finder go to ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music. You ought to see all the Artist folders for all your music. Open a couple folders and view the contents of the Albums. You ought to see the music files.

Okay, doing my best to ignore the EXTREMELY annoying font you chose to use.
Is there a reason why you did not create a backup of your media and other important files before switching from Vista?
It is the users responsibility to back up their media, it is NOT Apple's responsibility.
When you purchase CD's or DVD's, if you lose them, you repurchase them. Same deal with digital media.
If you have a backup of your media, simply copy the files from the backup to your computer.
If you still have access to your old computer, simply copy the files from it to your new computer. -

Yes, all you iTunes data are on the old drive. Get an external enclosure in which you may install the old drive in order to connect it to your computer and copy your iTunes data to your new drive.
Everything is on your old drive unless you copied it to the new drive. -
I have plugged in my ipod into my windows computer, scanned and fixed it (which was recommended), now when I tried to sync it again, I couldn't because the memory was used up with 'other'. I don't know what this is and how I can get rid of it, I have no music, films, photos, contacts on it, so am completely stuck! Help me please!
A large amount of other usually signals corrupt software and/or files that were synced to the device. You'll need to restore the iPod via iTunse to reduce it down to a much much smaller size.

i have been purchasing music from i tunes for many years. i recently purchased a crap load of lamb of god new eminem and alot more. i go to my itunes music library and they are not there. i go to store then check for available downloads and they do not appear. in stead i have all of my old music that i completly forgot i bought 3 years ago i want my new music. i then go to the store and try to redownload wat i already bought and it says that i have already purchased this do i want to buy it again. **** no. i want my music back. please help

How do I get all my music back in my library?
I haven't been on iTunes in a while, so I went on tonight to get some new music for my phone and almost all my library was gone!! I had close to 1,500 songs as well as some movies and TV shows and now i have about 200 songs. I tried looking up solutions but none of them are working. I was going to call Apple but then I learned you have to pay $20 for some help which is RIDICULOUS!!! I'm very angry and I just want my music back. Please someone help me!
It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Cannot open anything in my evay watch list since update
When I go to my watch list in Ebay and click on an item it give me an error message to check item location. If I add something new to watch list I can open it until I have left this page and then it doesn't work again. This works in other browser.
