    In iTunes 11 you have the option to turn the Sidebar and the Status Bar on or off; they are off by default. To do this in the menus, go to:

  • My IPHONE will not Sync when plugged into the USB port, although the it makes the sound that it is charging, Itunes does not recognize that it is there, what should I do?

    I have restarted the computer, the IPHONE 4, I have checked for updates, and Have reinstalled Itunes.  The Iphone plugged into the usb makes the noise that its charging but nothing else. It does not sync and ITUNES does not recognize its plugged in.

  • My iTunes does not show the "Device" heading so I can't see my iPad.  I also can't connect to the iTunes store.

    I also can't connect to the iTunes store.  Strangely though I can access my library on my iPad.  I'm trying to copy karaoke files I use for work on to Karaoke Anywhere, and I need to "see" my iPad under Devices to do it.
    I have reset the iPad, reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime, disabled any automatically run startup software.  I have deleted podcasts and changed the date.
    Why the heck isn't this working?  I've only had this thing for 2 weeks and I've been more frustrated by it than by any Windows device I've ever owned!!!

    While updating ipod touch we now have a blank screen. I have updated itunes but am unable to sync because the ipod does not show under devices. I have tried shuttng down and restarting but only have a blank screen or ap0ple logo. Sometimes the screen shows connect to itunes but that has been it.

    I have the same problem, after upgrading my itouch to iOS6, it doesNOT respond to anything, apple logo stays on the screen all the time and does NOTHING! restore does not work either.... i hope we can get an answer from someone soon... apple support did not have an asnwer.

    Try searching for the app using Spotlight, if it finds it, it's just on another home page or in another folder. You can swipe your finger horizontally across the home page to get to spotlight and the other pages.
    Do you have any restrictions set? You can disable apps from Settings > General > Restrictions.

    Windows ONLY sees iPads and iPhones as a camera.  This is nothing new or different.
    When you open iTunes and connect the device, does iTunes detect the device?
    Have you tried a different USB port? Restarting the computer? Restarting the device?
    Frankly, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes is a bit of a drastic step as it was likely unnecessary.

    So yu tried all of this:
    Error 1600, 1601, 1602: Try the following steps to resolve this error:
    Ensure proper USB isolation troubleshooting has been performed, and test with a known-good cable.
    Follow the steps listed for Error 1604.
    This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
    Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
    If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
    Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
    Restore and wait for error 1604.
    When prompted, click OK.
    Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
    iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
    If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
    If you had then time for an appointment at ther Genius Bar of an Apple store.

    My Iphone does show as a device when connecteing wirelessly.
    Its not a problem with the driver becasue the computer can see the devices, so its a problem in itunes.
