HT1364 iTunes transfer to Mac

After having a PC for years I just purchased my first Mac. Logged into iTunes and my library etc is not showing up as I was told it would by Apple staff. Can someone tell me how to set this up or must i save it physically from PC and upload to new Mac?

It sounds like there's something amiss with either your ID or the new system you're using. I've been using iTM on a Win7 and OSX SL system and have been able to upload and download to the Cloud on both. I've been using them interchangeably for the last week or so.
I would also recommennd giving Apple support a call, to see what they say.

You have to update to 10.6.8 first.

it depends from the OS which is installed on your computer. At first you must access your Music folder which contains the iTunes folder:
Windows 7:
\username\My Music\iTunes.
Windows XP:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Mac OS X:
~/Music/iTunes/
In this iTunes folders you can find a "iTunes Media" folder which contains your Music. This Music you can than copy on a flash drive

You can't sync music not obtained from the iTunes Store currently on your phone to the iTunes library on your computer. Assuming this music on your old PC, your only choice is to copy it from your PC to your Mac. Otherwise, SOL.

I thought I could just download iTunes and then connect the iPod to that PC and it would sink the music from the pod to the PC but no such luck.
