HT1365 my newly created network disappears

I am running a small business, small network. All Mac. 4 computers and 2 printers. I have two computers on ethernet and 2 using wi-fi for connection to the internet. Everything is working fine. I have just purchased a 2 multiuser Quickbooks 2013 for MAC, I installed the app on the 2 ethernet computers, and an existing Quickbooks data file on one of the macs. I created a new wi-fi network on one of the macs to use as a dedicated network to share the data file. It is working fine, the two computers can share the file. The problem is the one of the computers drops the connection too often and has to be restarted. I am using a Cisco Router.

Ok i will Explain in more detail or give you a picture as to what i want to do.
I have a MacBook as listed below it has 802.11n and i have a apple tv 160 gb. But no 802.11n wireless router only a 2wire 802.11g. and the 2wire does not like the leopard os i can't use it part time. only
the hp laptop works all the time.
Well any way the wireless router only transmits at 64 mbps. And ethernet transmits at 100 mbps but i don't like to half to hook up my MacBook to it all the time.
Well My computer has a 802.11n card and so does the apple tv.
So i have to create a wireless on my MacBook and then get to connect the apple tv to it. Which is easy. So then i can transfer my movies to it at 200 mbps and be done within minutes.
Well once i am done i reconnect to my wireless router so i can get on the web.
Well when i go back to transfer something to my apple tv i have to resetup the network i also use a pass code so others don't try to join my Macbook.
I have tried to make a second location but it did not work.
So any help would be great maybe an apple script or something.

Newly created "Faces" disappearing or merging with another "Face."

Overall, I was fairly pleased with the accuracy of Faces. And after an exhaustive amount of time I had all my Faces setup, or so I thought.
I noticed upon relaunch my friend Audrey's Face had disappeared. I then went to her husband (who looks distinctly different) and her pictures were under his face. The only thing I could think of is when I filled in her name, full name and email I used the same email address for both people. Perhaps the files are being coded with that conflicting information and Faces is confused and doesn't know where to place them. So a day later I went back and straightened it out putting her Faces in her own group. But then it did it again, only this time "Russ" her husband disappeared and his pictures were under her face.
The only other thing I can think of is a conflict with Facebook. I do remember uploading a picture and having to fix a few tags when the image was in Facebook. I'm wondering if Facebook was sending back bad information to that photo that was confusing the entire Face group. Other than that I'm at a loss.
I've rebuild the iPhoto databases selecting all the available options to ensure a good clean file. But that didn't fix this problem.
So since this appears to be a bug I won't bother trying to fix the two Faces again until it's fixed. Does anyone know if I can disable Faces or have some sort of control over how it operates? I'd like to disable it without losing the Face groups already created so it doesn't screw up another group with this bug.

I had the same problem with having previously named and labeled faces over-ridden and given other names. But I'm not using facebook, so it has nothing to do with that. I have spent hours and hours fixing my faces albums, just to have the names changed and put in different albums the next time I look at them. What in the world could I be doing wrong?

Newly created BP disappears with the synchronization

Hello all,
Once I create a new BP, save and synnchronize it with the server, it is disappearing from the UI. We need to explicitily search for it to see the details. This is not happening when we edit for the existing BPs. Can anybody point what could be the problem?
Kindly note that we are in SP 12 upgrade.

Hi Swarna,
When you go directly to BP/Details and add a new BP, it does not show after saving because of some custom code which might be written in the UI.
When you go to BP/Details it shows a empty tile because in standard solution, the anchor modelling has been done such that the BP query execution is not set as implicit. This is done because if an empty query is fired there could be performance issues loading the tileset.
You have following options -
1.Try to debug and find why after saving the BP, the tile is getting empty because if you have not entered a search criteria and have directly come to BP/Details then the new BP should fit the empty search criteria.
2.Another way (which might have performance impact) is to make the BP query execution implicit by changing the settings in the component MSABusinessPartners.This will make sure that when you go to BP/Details an empty query is fired in the background.
option 1 is the best one.

Portal Content Created is disappearing/missing the next day!! NOde Synchron

We have our DEV portal setup with 3 server nodes and a dispactcher. The dispatcher and two servers are running in PRoductive mode and one server in DEBUG mode. See below.

Then yesterday, we newly created a BI report iview, added it to a workset and added the ws to the role and role to a group and every one in that group were able to see the new work. and OK it is. Today morning, Alas! Everything disappeared. The iview, the workset, the role changes, all went away. We are not not on VPN or any such thing. Plain network.with in the same domain.
Some of our colleagues suspect it to be a node synchronization issue, which I am very ignorant about.
Please, please, please think about this and help us understand it and solve the problem.
YOur help is highly appreciated.

I agree with Sushil, It must have been the PCD and/or Navigation Cache... These two caches also apply when you do not have a FPN, so in other words also for you scenario.

When a new network activity is created using BAPI, BAPI_BUS2002_ACT_CREATE_MULTI and then the newly created activities are
reverted by using BAPI BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK,the control objects of newly created activities are not reverted, therefore when you perform a
commit of the transaction by using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT, a short dump'ILLEGAL_TEMPORARY_OBJNR' occurs.

I'm trying to register a really simple ESB project - 2x Db adapters that each call a stored procedure. I've done it dozens of times before without any problems but now I'm getting this weird error message in JDev when registering the services:-

I've restarted SOA Suite but it made no difference. Has anyone seen this before?
(I'm running JDev 10.1.3.2 and SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 - I'm also using a default install of Oracle XE as the dehydration store - but this has been running fine for almost 2 weeks now).

Hmmm have restarted SOA Suite - no go, so restarted the whole server it's running on - still no go. Have tried rebuilding the ESB project from scratch using JDev 10.1.3.3 - no go.
On subsequent tries (registering the the ESB services from JDev) I'm getting a different error message now:-

ADF 10.1.3.4: 'losing' newly created row in master-detail-detail.

Situation:
I have a page in JSF/ADF with the following set up.
Top-half of the page is a table.
Underneath the table is on the left a selectonelistbox component and next to it on the right a tabbed section.
The table -> selectonelistbox relation is master-detail.
The selectonelistbox -> tabbed section is master-detail.
So when you change the selection in de seletonelistbox the data in the tabbed section changes.
One of the functions in a tabbed section is a createinsert.
step1: select value '1' in the selectonelistbox.
step1: a new row is create (with createinsert). there is no commit yet, the row is in the entity cache.
step2: change the selection to '2' in the selectonelistbox.
step3: create a new row (with createinsert).
step4: commit the changes.
We see that only the row of the current row is committed. The newly created row under value '1' has disappeared.
There are no warnings/exception thrown.
How can I commit all newly created rows?
It must be possible to created several new rows, before committing if it is possible.

This is the most random problem that I have seen in a long time. Before I go into it all I'll give you a little background information, I am running a 2009 Macbook with Mac OSX version 10.5.8 it runs smoothly as all **** and is amazing normally. Before anyone says I should go to the apple store to get technical help understand that I am temporarily living in China in a place where that isn't an option. With all of that info given check this...
At the academy where I am living there is one internet service being shared over two routers and a few cables. It used to be shared over 3 creating 3 networks, but one of them was turned off this weekend. Anyways lets say there is network 1,2 & 3. Networks 1 & 2 I could connect to, but number 2 is now dead, so we don't need to talk about that. Network 3 is out of my distance, but if I am close enough I can connect to it.
So I left for a weekend and returned and when I returned I discovered that I can no longer see network 1. Like my computer does not recognize it as there. I would assume that it is the router except everyone elves computers still works on it. Including two of my roommates one of which being a macbook user. I can still see network 3 and if I go to the other room I can connect to it, but even if I put my computer right next to the router of number 1 it does not see it. And, my ipod touch can be sitting in the same place as me and see network 1 but my computer does not...
So I've done all of the no brainers, restarted the modem, updated my software, turned my airport off and on, I've even done some more technical stuff, zapped my PRAM, deleted my wireless config files, even trashed my home directories System configuration. And so far, nothing. I'm going crazy. Has anyone ever heard of a network disappearing when everyone else can see it?

Newly created user accounts can't log in??

I've got a 5 year old who is starting to use my computer for game playing, typing notes, and simple web stuff.
I want to set up a user account for him with parental controls so he can't randomly rename, delete, or change things.
I've followed the directions, set up a user account, given it a password... logged off my admin account ...
and when I click on his login picture, it brings up the password window, and when I input the password, it just gives a little shake, clears the password line, and lets me try again.
I've deleted that account and created a new one without parental controls. I've tried having NO password in the password line. I've tried making sure the short names for the accounts I'm creating are exactly 8 characters. I've turned off Norton antivirus. Nothing works - I cannot log in with any newly created account??
What else can I try?

Well you probably don't need to be told the NetInfo database is in a bit of a mess, but the significant thing is the "No such file or directory" from the last two commands. Basically this is where passwords are stored (encrypted) since the system changed to "Shadow Hash" passwords in 10.3.
Your account seems to be OK since it predates this change, and when you installed new system versions you chose the "Upgrade" option which left your settings alone. This is why your primary group is 'staff', or 20, whereas for Will it is creating a group 'will', or 502. That bit appears to be working, just not the passwords. Your password still works because it is in the old 'passwd' file (in encrypted form).
By far the best thing, at this stage, would be to do an Erase and Install, but this depends on you having a complete and up to date backup of all your files. See Mac OS X 10.4: About installation options. Alternatively you might try an Archive & Install, see Mac OS X : About the Archive and Install Feature, probably not choosing the "Preserve Users and Network Settings" option. But note this requires you to backup a lot of your data, and then re-enter settings and so on.
If you have a backup, the Migration Assistant can help you get your files back in place.
If it were my machine of course, I would probably carry on a bit longer trying to fix things, but the appearance of "#NoValue#" twice in the NetInfo output suggests some serious inconsistency which would be difficult to fix.

How to keep my created network after restart

my mac mini is just used to be connected to a videoprojector. so i don t connect a screen or mouse, keyboard or else.
i have access to it through the wireless network i created on the macmini.
but if i restart the macmini, the network is gone and i have to connect mouse keyboard, sceen, to re create the network!
my problem is that i only have access to my mac mini by wireless network . but i don t want to share internet access. just have a network between two macs , to access to one with share screens.
If i create a network, and then restart, the network is gone. it disappears.
so if i restart my mac mini via screenshare , there is no network. and i can t have access to the mac mini anymore.
how can i keep this created network after restart?
i tried to make it work with automator but kind of didn t make it to work

Do you keep other settings (e.g. in Options) that you make in Firefox?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Problem in Tax Exexpiton for Newly created Wage type

Dear Gurus,
I Have tried to create a New Wage type for Allowance with Exemption IT582 created Amount. In pay roll results the IT582 Exemption amount is coming. In Wage type /132 Monthly Exemptions it says the Entire Amount which it created for the Particular wage type.
Example:
Newly created wage type 1010 : 10,000
Exemption Created : 6000
Payroll Results:
/132 : showing 10,000+800 Conveyance
MCAX : 6000 - Custom Allowance
MCMX :6000 - Custom Allowance.
By the above result the Gross value reduced to -10,000.
Please suggest me to complete this process.

configure a wage type in V_T7INA9 and V_T7INT9 view first.
maintain the amount, which employee has submitted as claim.
then pass the value in infotype 8 or 14 or 15 through the same wage type u have configure.
now minimum of 3(entry in V-T7INT9, infotype 8 or 15 or 14 and entry maintained in infotype 582) will b the exemption amount.

I am trying to transfer photos from my iPhoto library to a newly created one.

I want to know if I'm doing this the easiest way. I have an iPhoto library with 45,000 photos. I just created a new library and want to take some of the photos and put them in the new library. I created a folder on my desktop where I exported the event, switched libraries and imported to the newly created iPhoto library. Is the is right steps to take or is there an easier one.

That will work but there is a more efficient method. Use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to copy Events from the old library into the new library. This will also copy any edited versions, keywords, titles, places, etc.

Created Network and Internet Sharing Problems

Hello,
I created network with WEP password. I proceeded to turn on internet sharing.
All works great until the iMac goes to sleep.
Once it comes back on the network I created is missing and I have create it all over again.
The internet connection is through ethernet staring into the iMac.
Is there a way to get the iMac to stop forgetting the created network and leave the internet connection on? Even when it's sleeping.

Is there a reason why you chose WEP? I ask because WEP is an encryption technology that has been cracked so if possible I"d suggest you use WPA or WPA2 encryption instead. Am I correct to assume you don't have a router and all the other computers connect to the internet through the imac? If you don't have a router I'd suggest you buy one, they are not much money and provide excellent protecton from the internet. A router will protect all the computers on your network behind its firewall and would no longer have to connect through the imac.

Go to System Preferences>Network and highlight 'Wireless' on the left side. (Also, if you don't use Bluetooth or any other type of networking listed there delete them from the list leaving only Ethernet and Airport) Uncheck 'ask to join new networks'.
Then click on 'Advanced..' and under the Airport tab make sure only your network is listed in the 'Prefered Networks' window. Under that window check 'remember any network this computer has joined' and uncheck 'disconnect from wireless networks when logging out'.
That's the way I've got my computer set up and I've never lost a connection.

In fedora 8, firfox browser is not opening in newly created login but opening in old login

in Fedora 8, previously created root and user login are able to open firefox browser. But any newly created login unable to open it. It starts but ended without any message and opening browser. But the processes of firefox running behind. What to do ?

If you go to transaction SE80 -> Repository Information System -> Other objects -> Transactions and you search for SOAMANAGER, you get into the screen where you can modify attributes for this transaction. Please check if there are strange values entered in there... Or maybe SAPGUI for HTML is not selected.

Is there any way through which we can get the art handle of a newly created art, just after its creation on the document?

Unfortunately, there is nothing to really do this. I asked for years, and eventually gave up. The best I came up with -- and it sucks -- is to watch for kArtPropertiesChangedNotifier and when that triggers, you look at the selected art and assume that was what was 'created' or 'edited'. Of course, telling the difference between the two is a problem
