A newer verion update for my iPod touch was taking place when I got knocked off line,Now,I have no connection to be able to use my iPod.Just a Black screen with the Apple insignia and an oblong circle that would have filled when the update was finished appears and the iPod won't turn on or off. What can I do to remedy the situation.?

It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process. -
my iphone is detected in itunes as normal, but screen on the phone only shows apple logo??? restored and everything but no difference its weird, it restores successfully and stuff but once done the screen only shows apple logo.. note:while restoring everything goes through as normal on the phone it shows the bar loading etc.. but once complete just stays on apple logo.
It can take a few minutes to reinitialize, but if it stays on the Apple logo for as much as 10 minutes there is something seriously wrong. Try restoring again, and set up as a new phone rather than installing your backup. If this fixes it you have a corrupt backup. If this doesn't fix it the phone is broken. Or possibly jailbroken.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I followed the initial steps in this post and reset pram. After restarting, the screen just shows a folder with a question mark. What does this mean?
Thanks Niel, I tried using Option and nothing happened so I next tried inserting the Leopard disc and rebooting while holding C. Nothing happened until the disc was ejected and then the folder with question mark reappeared. I inserted the disc again and at this point and it booted OSX. I tried to acess disc utility to repair but my harddrive wasn't listed, only the CD drive and the OS disc. Does this mean I'm lost everything?

UPdate the iPad wjith new iOS upgrade that where shown under settings on the iPad, but after I did the upgrade the screen has only shown the apple and I can't get back. This has been the case since yesterday. Have turned off t.he iPad many times, but every timebwkhen Ibturn it on again the screen onöy show the apple icon and nothing else happends. What should I do? iTunes Match was set up on my new MacBook Pro. Today, it wouldnt download any of my music, so I followed advice, switched on iTunes Match and switched it on again. When this didnt help, I deauthorized the computer, logged out of iTunes, and relogged in again. I have reauthroized the computer and reset the View/Options.
However, now I cant connect to iTunes Match or iCloud at all. The screen asking me to Add this computer comes up, when I click and enter my Mac account details I get the error message:
"You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 83 days."
However, this was the iTunes account with which I set up iTunes Match.

Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. that is what the screen is telling you to do.

I updated I tunes today , now I am unable to open my I Pod I Touch, the screen shows the I Tunes logo with a USB cord and arrow pointing back up to the icon, can't access my Home page
The screen indicates that your device is in recovery mode. It has to be restored by connecting it to a computer with itunes. Restore to factory settings.
This happens sometimes. Hopefully you have a backup.

My phone functions but the screen only shows the apple logo
I have an iPhone 4S and it randomly froze and the screen went directly to the apple logo. It still works like music can come on and it buzzes when it's plugged in. The only other problem is that I can't use my lock button since it's been broken for a while. Please help I really need to get this fixed ASAP.

This poses a severe Limitation on Troubleshooting... Suggest you Visit an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) for the Broken Lock Button issue.

The iPad screen only shows an apple every 3 seconds. what is wrong?
Screen shows apple every three seconds.I cannot turn it off. the iPad2 is recognized by itunes when connected to computer. Will not start up or shut down.
If it keeps showing the Apple Logo every few seconds, then it is continuously trying to reload the iOS, but somehting is making it restart. Normally, a failure should make the iPad boot into recovery mode automatically, but you may have a hardware issue that needs service.
Try this before getting service:
1) Plug the iPad into the computer and open iTunes.
2) Hold the Power Button and Home button simultaneously for 10 seconds, then release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 20 more seconds or until the iTunes symbol shows on the iPad's screen.
3) Restore the iPad using iTunes on the computer.
If you do not get the iTunes symbol on the iPad and continue to see the Apple Logo over and over even while trying these steps, your iPad will need service to get it fixed.
