That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

you don't need several drivers, you just need the audio driver for your Mac, which you didn't list, but would be Cirrus or RealTek.
Along with uninstalling programs, go to Dev Manager and uninstall driver, or even rollback driver.
some people have trouble installing or finding driver that will install. -
I need to add music to my slideshow on aperature, can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.There are basically two methods to add music to a slideshow.
The first method, that Frank Caggiano described, will let you set a background sound track, that will play during the whole show. You will see your background clip fill the filmstrip with a green shadow.
A second method is, to drag short sound clips directly onto single slides - this will let you add special sound effects at certain moments and will result in secondary audio tracks, that you can adjust in length. These secondary tracks are displayed as thin bars below the slides. (a screenshot from the User manual)

HT2008 Does anyone know how to save an ichat from my iphone to my mac laptop?
A dear friend of mine passed away, and I want to save an important ichat of ours to my Mac laptop. (I believe part of the ichat an SMS text and part is an ichat but it shows up as one long text over several months). Does anyone know how to do this? I'm running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4. So this is a conversation that is on the iPhone that has taken place over a period of time and has involved SMS and iChat type Messages.
I did this on my phone
Go to Messages
Go to the conversation you want to "Save"
Use the Edit top right.
Scroll the Conversation to the top
Tap each line you want to send (somewhere)
Each will get a red tick and the Forward and Delete option at the bottom become Active.
Once I had several lines ready I chose the Forward Option and sent them to my Apple ID I use in Messages Beta (i.e I sent is as an iMessage)
The result is a single iMessage with all the lines (selected) justified to the left (it does not separate you and your Buddy's parts)

If your iPhone is in the United States and the Carrier support AIM SMS forwarding you may be able to send it to yourself, in iChat, via that method.

ITunes stuck in "Waiting for iPhone" and iPhone 5's progress bar won't start loading.
I was with about 40% battery, playing a game, when my iPhone 5 iOS 8.1 suddenly turned off, it wouldn't turn back on even with 30m charging. I went to iTunes, and it recognized it on recovery mode, and I tried to restore. However, it got stuck on "Waiting for iPhone" and the iPhone was with the progress bar at 0% for HOURS. I can't find a solution for the problem myself.
Thanks.do you have a cdma iphone 4? becauase cdma iphones dont have a sim card slot... the providers that use cdma technology here in the us would be verizion, sprint, criket, ect... if you want to use your iphone 4 on att or tmobile (gsm carriers). then you would need a gsm iphone 4 (has sim card slot). a gsm iphone 4 is different than a cdma iphone 4 (they have different radio chips). maby you missed the sim card slot? sim card slot would be on the side of the phone.. never inside (unless it has a removable back cover like the galaxy s3 or s4), if you dont see a sim card slot on the side of the phone than you have a cmda iphone 4. can you tell me what carrier you are trying to use?

You have to delete the corrupt back-up so iTunes can at least back-up the current data on the iPhone and then restore it. Search these forums, there a several good posts on how to delete the corrupt back-up.

I have an iphone that has stopped charging. I have purchased a new battery and charger for it but it is still not charging. Does anyone know how i can fix this?
That pretty much eliminates all the user-serviceable parts the phone has.
When you say you purchased a new battery, I'll assume that it included the installation and you did not go fiddling with the nanoscrews and such. So it's got to have some sort of warranty that the part is good and it is time to take it back for service. -

Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service. -
My iPod touch is stuck in recovery mode, but when I connect it to my computer to restore it, my computer does not recognize it. It does not appear as a device in my iTunes. What can I do to restore it/make my computer recognize it?

I tried to update the software overnight, and it was still in the beginning stages of the progress bar when I woke up. When I restarted the process I have to restore the phone, its again stuck in the beginning of the process. Does anyone know how long this should take? The beginning sections seemed to fly by.

I'm using 3G3 16gb and just upgraded to 4.3.3. Tried activating bluetooth to use Personal Hotspot for my laptop. But the iphone keep searching for devices thou my laptop can detect the phone. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I had my itunes account on my laptop which has since crashed. I had to buy a new computer and iinstall the new version of itunes. It did not pull up any of my information with music library, etc. Does anyone know how to transfer existing music from my itunes account for my ipod to my iphone?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

Wow! I think I had this same issue just last night.
I was cleaning my macbook pro retina on the outside. Then I opened it up and was wiping dust off the monitor and I can't pinpoint exactly when, but the colors changed suddenly. It looked super strange, it was like green halo's and it looked worse when looking at it at an angle. Of course I took no pictures!!! I was freaking out that my 2 grand laptop was busted and I somehow removed a protective film or something.
But I digress... The image looked very green and spacey, it was almost a neat effect. After about 5 minutes it started to look a little more digital though. There were straight lines of this halo effect on the edges and top. After about 10 minutes it turned into a predominate issue with the blacks on screen. I could open a web browser and it was unnoticable on a white background. After about 15 minutes, you could only barely see the green cloud effect if you looked at the monitor from an extreme angle. After about 20 minutes, it was completely back to normal, I almost feel paranoid like I see a halo or something strange. But I believe that might be all in my head now.
So yerp, lemme know what you guys figure out. -

T-Mobile UK are in fact port blocking to ensure fair usage on their base Web and Walk Plan. I have upgraded to Web and Walk Plus and as a result the port blocks are lifted and I get a higher data allowance!

My iphone5 itunes playlist seems to have a mind of it's own, after selecting a song to play it will randomly flash through songs on my playlist without stopping. I've rebooting, and restored my iphone with no results. does anyone know how to stop this from happening? also I am having trouble syncing songs from my library on my computer to my iphone. the songs so up on my playlist on the computer, but will not synch over to my iphone5.
