HT1386 (0xE8000065)

What does this error message mean? (0xE8000065)
Itunes cannot connect to iphone...

Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Plug the device directly into a high-power USB 2.0 port on the computer. If possible, use a USB port on the back of the computer.Avoid plugging the device into a keyboard, display, or standalone hub. The USB ports on these accessories may be low-power or only offer USB 1.x connections.
If you are using an accessory, remove the device from the dock and connect it to the computer using only the Apple USB to Dock Connector cable. If you have access to additional Apple USB to Dock Connector cables, try testing with another if the first one doesn't work.
Restart your computer and device. To restart your device:Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.
Disconnect all USB devices from your computer, except for your keyboard and mouse. Then reconnect the iOS device. If the issue is resolved, reconnect other USB devices, testing after each connection.

  • HELP: Error (0xE8000065). I can't connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes!!

Hey guys. I have an iPhone 4 and i recently wanted to upgrade to iOS 5. When i wanted to do it iTunes told me that it needed to restore my phone then update it, so i backed up my phone and clicked "Update". It went through the proccess, and succesfully updated. Since my iPhone was now restored i had to set it back up through my iPhone. I came to the point where it gave me the choice to 1.Start as new iPhone, 2. Restore from iCloud Backup, or 3.Restore from iTunes Backup. So i chose to backup from iTunes. When it prompted me to connect to iTunes i plugged my ORIGINAL sync cable to my computer.... Then i waited and nothing came up, so i just simply clicked on iTunes. When iTunes came up it said this exactly: "
"Tunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occured (0xE8000065)." What do i do!!!?!?! Please someone help!!! (And by the way, my iTunes is upgraded to the latest version)

  • HT1386 I have been syncing my IPad to only one PC computer successfully for over a year.  Now when I try to sync I get the message that the ipad is synced with another computer and can be synced with only one.  How can I correct this?

Although I have synced my ipad to only one PC computer I now get the message that it is synced to another computer and only one computer sync is permitted.  I have lots of apps on the ipad and do not want to loose everything by starting fresh with the ipad.  How can I get the ipad to again accept my computer and sync successfully?

  • Error message, 0xE8000065 when trying to sync with iTunes. HELP!!!

I bought a new iPhone 4S, but when I try to connect it to iTunes, I get an error message, 0xE8000065, or sometimes 0xE800001. I want to sync it but nothing I've tried (restarting the services, restarting the machine, reinstalling iTunes, erasing lockdown folder) works. Can anyone help me?
P.S. I saw a video in youtube explaining how to try to connect it using recovery mode, and iTunes did in fact detect the iPhone and asked me to update and restore. I did not want to as I already have some apps and pics but I went through it anyway. Since it was taking a LONG time, I went to get something to eat: when I came back, the iPhone had not been restored, and it still wouldn't connect to iTunes. I'm guessing the restore/update failed? In any case, how can I fix this issue?

"itunes could not connect with the itunes store. An unknown error occurred (11556)."
This error is associated with ringtones, are you trying to sync a ringtone, purchase a ringtone...need more info...
I have also an error message saying it cannot sync and error message number 0050.
Are you on Windows XP? Is this the error message...iTunes displays -50 error message? If so, follow these directions:

  • Error 0xE8000065

I had been having problems connecting to iTunes and to the interneton my iPhone, and having communicated this to my service provider, and after having checked the handset, they changed mine with a new one. The new one has updated 3.0.x OS and since then I have updated iTunes too.
However, since the time I updated to 8.2 and updated my iphone to 3.0.x iTunes displays a message saying my iphone was detected but couldn't be identified properly and asks to disconnect and reconnect. Post doing so i get a message _"iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)"_.
Thereafter every time I unplug and reconnect iTunes displays this message, and it doesn't even recognize my iPhone, nonetheless My PC recognizes the iPhone as a Camera(??) ... a pop-up appears giving a choice of application to view pictures, but iTunes does nothing...
I have had a long discussion now over the last week with my service provider and only yesterday they have changed my iPhone and given me a new one. _*The problem explained above is on the new Phone._*
In the morning today, i also removed and re-installed iTunes, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, and Apple Mobile Device Support on my PC, as per directions given on http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/troubleshooting/itunes/#
    SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP

    Hi,
Are you seeing the same messages each time you connect the iPhone?
What security software is running on your PC? If you haven't already, try updating, temporarily disabling or uninstalling it.
Also, make sure the iPhone is directly connected to a high-speed USB2 port on the PC, using the cable that came with it.
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2818 describes the first "could not be identified properly" message. It also provides tips that will generally resolve the issue.
This thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1987604 describes the second message and provides tips that may resolve the issue.

hi, i am having a problem in my ipad 2 , it is not showing main screen just showing a black blank screen in which downloading icon is only shwn which is continously and when i connect to itunes via windows 7 it showing this error (0xE8000065) can any one

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • ITunes Cannot connect to iPhone due to unknown error (0xE8000065)

    Hello!
When I plugin my iphone to a wall, it refuses to charge (it just keeps making a bleeping noise).
And when I try to connect my iPhone to iTunes, I can't. It just says: iTunes Cannot connect to iPhone due to unknown error (0xE8000065)
Any suggestions? I replaced the battery hoping that would do the trick, but nada.
    Cheers

Did you try a different charger and a different cable? If it won't charge the error will go away soon also when the battery dies.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps in iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Unknown error containing '0xE' when connecting.
