Everytime I sync my iphone to my computer I receive error message 1140 which says my iphone cannot be synced

On iTunes un-select sync photos and then apply. Next click on sync. That should allow a sync to occur. Now go back and try to do a sync with photos selected. Appy first then Sync.

There is no documentation on this crazy error code. But, I think I figured this out. I down loaded the latest version of desktop software to my desktop - running Aug 25, 2010 bundle 47. I am running 64 bit Windows 7, new PC. I received the error 0x83860028. I went into "Organizer" and clicked on the "Reset Settings" button. I then reconfigured the settings to sync e-mail and calendar only.
I then re-ran the sync and it worked. I am no techie but found this with luck. Good luck.

Error message when syncing new iphone

I am unable to sync my new i phone. every time I try an error message pops up and says you do not have the privilage to make changes.
Any suggestions???

I actually figured it out a while ago.
Turns out it is not an issue with the iPhone or iTunes.
By process of elimination I deduced it could be a permissions issue with the hard drive and/or folder that holds the contents of my Music Library.
For example, if the "Sharing & Permissions" settings (found in the "Get Info" Window) are set to "Read Only" on the internal or external drive that contains your Music Library for iTunes then you can not write to the disk. Therefore, you do not have privelges to make changes to the internal or external drive and you get the error message when you try to sync with the information on that drive.
Here's the kicker and million dollar questions:
How did the "Sharing & Permissions" settings get changed on my Hard Drive without me doing it?
Why did my iPhone sync fine yesterday and suddenly today the Hard Drive is doing this?
I have to set all priveleges to all drives to "Read & Write" and that just doesn't seem very secure to me.

Error message 42003 when syncing iphone

every time i sync my iphone to my desktop (windows 7) , i am recieving an error message of 42003 . itunes is asking me to give authorizations for certain apps . when i ok the authorizations supply my password i get the previously stated error message (42003).
please help.

Error message -5000 when syncing

I didn't have any problems syncing my iPod touch before I downloaded IOS5. Now when I try to sync, my music library gets halted partway through the sync and I get an error message that says "unknown error -5000". I can see all of my music on the iPod but it's pale gray and unaccessible. Has anybody else had this issue before?

Error Message 0x83860028 when syncing

I recently installed the latest update to the desktop software for my Curve 8330. Now, everytime I sync, I get error message 0x83860028. The process hangs up slightly and then continues. However, I find that the calendar is not syncing at all. This has been happening since Sept. 17. I am not sure if it is a bad bit of data that hangs it up or a software issue. I cannot seem to find this error message anywhere. This is a shared calendar in Outlook 2007. My OS on the computer is Vista. I was able to sync up until that point. Any fixes or help??

Receive error message 0x80040fb3 when syncing Outlook to 8830

I have been trying to update my address book on my device for a week and every time I try to sync, using the desktop manager, I get to a certain number of contacts and an error message shows up - 0x80040fb3. I've looked it up and it says information may be missing in the First, Last Name fields or Company. I have been through my Outlook contacts at least a dozen times, renamed people, double checked that all of the fields are filled in yet I still cannot synch. Is there something I am missing? Is there another way to get my contacts on to my device?

Error Messages received when syncing rentals

I get the error message from ITunes when I transfer the rental to my Itouch: the rental could not be transferred to the IPOD because an unknown error occured (-3259). It does show up on my device however when I hit the play button, the message I receive is either I don't have permission to access the resource or cannot open.

Selecting all photos and then starting to drag and drop but dropping back into place created a pop-up alert for each file which was causing the problem. Fortunately, I did not need these files, so I was able to delete them and the problem appears to be corrected.

Error message -39 when syncing?

I've recently moved my iPhone back to my MacBook Pro after having it fixed and everything was fine until I added some photos from iPhoto. I have been getting the message 'error -39'.

This can be caused by outdated iTunes software or web accelerators.

Error message appear when creating new bookmarks

When creating new bookmarks a pop-up window appear with the following info:

The bookmark is saved at the bottom of the list but it is not possible to select folder to store bookmark. How do I fix this problem?

I believe Trust Checker is part of Zone Alarm, to test this try disabling the Zone Alarm add-ons in Firefox to see if you can then create new bookmarks.
To disable extensions:
Click the Tools menu and then select Add-ons . The Add-ons window appears.
# In the Add-ons window, click the Extensions panel. The list of installed extensions appears.
# Click the name of an extension in the list to select it.
# Click Disable to disable the selected extension.
# Click Restart Firefox .
If it does turn out to be the Zone Alarm extension causing the problem, check for any updates to Zone Alarm, if none you could report the issue to them.

I'm getting error code 1437 when syncing new ipod with my computer

I've just got my new ipod and when I try to sync it to my computer to copy music I get error code 1437. I'm not very tch savvy so anyone out there please explain in English and not tech speak.

1. Press PrintScreen (PrScrn) to capture a screenshot.
2. From Start, enter MSPAINT in the Search box, and then click "OK".
3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the paint.
4. From the File menu, click Print to print it.

Error message (-48) when syncing game to ipod nano 3G

Is there anyone that knows how to fix this problem? I finally got my game to show up on itunes but when I try to sync it to my ipod it keeps saying " iTunes could not sync the game "Sims Bowling" to the ipod because an error occurred (-48). This is so frustrating. I have tried everything from changing my ipods settings, checking for updates and running a disk utility on my ipd to fix problems and nothing works. The only thing I have not done is to restore my ipod which i dont want to do because I will loose all my music since i dont keep it on itunes. Please, any help would be apprectaited.

I suggest you post this in the using i tunes section of discussions as well so more people see it. Did you buy the right game for your nano? Because 5.5G ipod game don't work on nanos
