The last time my iPad would sync with iTunes on my computer was July 16th I have tried the thinks I read to do but no help

You are going to have to provide a few more details than my iPad will not sync.
Does iTunes see the device?
If it does recognize the iPad does anything happen at all?
Does the sync start and then stop?
Are you getting error messages?

Today for some reason my Ipad won't tether properly. The iphone says it's connected and on the Ipad next to Wi-Fi in settings shows I'm connected but at the top left of the screen there is no connection icon and I cannot load and display web pages. Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Check the button just above the volume control on the upper right hand side of your iPad. Flip and see what the front of your iPad tells you it's programmed to do. If when you change it, it says Orientation. your done and your screen will rotate again. If it says Mute, double tap your home button and swipe the bottom row apps all the way to the right and very last icon will be a lock orientation icon. Touch it and you'll have screen orientation back.

Try giving it a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again.
But if that charger works just fine with your other iPad and not this one, I'd call up your local apple store and make an appointment so they can look at it. Usually when an iPad wont' charge (when plugged into the wall with its supplied charger) it's
Bad outlet
bad power brick
bad cable
and if the charger is working with another iPad then that rules that out and the thing left is something wrong with the 30 pin port on the iPad, or perhaps something with the battery or software that monitors the battery. ANd things like that are beyond a user fix.
On the upside if the device is still under warranty - and barring any obvious signs of abuse or neglect - then it should be covered under the warranty.

My wife is working in London for 5 weeks & staying in digs, so we thought it would be a good idea to buy an ipad2 so we could skype each other, she could watch movies from the icloud, access skygo etc,and it wouldn't be as bulky as a laptop. All fine if you can get wifi, but for some reason her ipad cannot locate any btfon or btopenzone hotspots (or provider), IN LONDON??!! We can access them at home in a little village in Northern Ireland. Her digs have an ethernet socket, is it possible to connect her ipad to this socket via an adapter?

No. She will need to come up with an alternative way to connect. A mobile hotspot perhaps.
Finding some way to connect to these hotspots would be the ideal situation. I know that you realize that. We know nothing about what is happening, but if you can explain in some detail, maybe somebody here can help.

I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? I understand that when you originally connected your IPhone about a year ago it was recognized properly.
Now when you connect your IPhone nothing happens but it does charger it, (until you used the last cable.)

Each of you need to have your own apple id's instead of sharing is the best way. But you can go to each phones settings, messages, send and recieve, and down to start new conversation from, and make sure each of you have your own email address with a check mark beside of it not the same address.

(1)    Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is not compatible with any version of Windows beyond Windows XP (32-bit, only). Attempting to install ATM on any newer version of Windows may actually disable Window's capability of rendering Type 1 and OpenType CFF fonts, requiring a reinstallation of Windows.
(2)    There is no need to use ATM to install any fonts under Windows.
(3)    The file name ._DIN-bold is indicative of a MacOS font. These fonts cannot be installed on Windows systems.
