HT1386 How do I sync individual groups in the Contacts ap?

I have synced my contacts from Outlook 2007 into my Iphone 5. My Outlook categories appear as groups, but when I select one of the groups, choose "done" I do not have any contacts appearing. The only time Contacts appear is when "All Contacts" is selected. Can anyone help me with correcting this problem?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have already done this numerous times! The groups appear, but no NO contacts appear when you perform the rocess you suggest. In other words, I have all of my categories/groupsshowing in the Groups tab, but no members of the selected group appear when Done is chosen. ONLY when "All Contacts" is selected do I have contacts appearing.

Let's say, I have an Iphone 3GS and it was synced to my older pc (I know...) and it crashed and I can't retrieve my files on there. I want everything that I have on my 3Gs: photos, videos, music, notes, voice recordings, etc... Now, I recently upgraded to 4Gs. I can sync almost everything via icloud but there are files like photos, videos, other music that I cannot sync or for some weird reason it won't work over the cloud. I have a 3GS IPhone and have not been able to find Cloud on it anywhere (I was instructed to go to Settings, General, etc). I have also been told I should download update from I Tunes and have not been successful doing that either. I know my I Pad has the Cloud and I am wanting to sync the calendar from the phone to the pad. Any suggestions?

I have a large music library and my iPhone is only 16GB. This limits the amount of songs i can put on it. In the previous iTunes it was possible to remove a song by simply un-ticking it. I've tried that in the current version of iTunes but when i sync, the songs still end up on my iPhone.

Make sure that the "Sync Music" option from the Music tab in your iTunes is checked but not the "Entire music library" underneath the "Entire music library" option you can select which parts of you iTunes library to sync with your iPhone.

You should probably leave feedback with Apple, asking them to add that feature (I completely agree that it is completely lame that there is no group edit support on the phone!)

On iOs6, on the iPhone 5, how does one sync individual contacts with Facebook? I don't wish to use the sync all contacts feature, as it adds thousands of Facebook friends to my contact list. I simply wish to connect the contacts already in my address book.

I realize this is really old, but on the off chance of you never having found a way, I figured I'd pop in with something actually useful unlike this Raz fella.
I couldn't figure out a way to do it without connecting to facebook at all, but here is what I did:
1. Connect to facebook.
2. Update contacts.
3. Click groups and uncheck facebook contacts.
Now contacts which are only on the phone because of facebook will not show up, and yet the others will have been connected.
If a specific person does not connect properly to facebook, add their FACEBOOK EMAIL (found in their about section) to the email section of contacts and again go to the facebook settings and click update contacts. This should connect that person.

There is no Info tab in Mavericks

Use another account where? Let's say phone A is being synced to Mac A, and now you want to add phones B and C to Mac A, then they will all be syncing using the same account, the one used on Mac A. Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you.
