Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -
I bought a film on iTunes and whenever I try and play it it says "your computer is not authorised to play this" and so I type my password in and it says "your computer is already authorised" and then doesn't play the film. Can anyone help?
ah this is a simple fix. open itunes go to store on the top menu bar and click store. scroll down and click
"Authorize this computer" fill in the info requested and there u have it. -

I bought the APP Sasol Birds. 146MB of the 147,5MB downloaded without any problem. The download stopped and first the error code 3259 and later the error code 8012 appeared. Can someone help? I want the download to be completed. Thank you. Pieter Strobos
Maybe your firewall or security software are preventing the download from finishing. You could try disabling them until you finish the download

Why can't I sync my iTunes music from my computer to my 4s iPhone?
After both of the newest upgrades, I'm having trouble syncing my music from my computer's iTunes onto my 4s iPhone. After experimenting, somehow I managed to delete a couple playlists off of my phone (which when I plugged in to sync, it deleted the playlists from my library...very annoying, now I have to sort all of my music into playlists again).
I have always synced what was on my computer to my phone. Why is what I'm doing on my phone changing what's on my computer's iTunes? And why won't any of my new music sync onto my phone?
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated, thanks!!Spoke with Apple support on this issue. After deleting all music and playlists from the phone, unchecking ALL boxes within Music tab on phone, and syncing, music was removed from phone. Then went back and checked sync music/selected playlists/the playlists I wanted on the phone, and it successfully synced those playlists. I did lose the purchased playlist on the phone, which I like because it's my newest music, but that is easily fixed by making a smart playlist of recent purchases and adding it to the sync.

I keep getting an error message saying "There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type "file:" are not supported" Can someone help me locate and get rid of this error.
Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences. If it shows that Time Machine is ON, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner, if necessary, to unlock it. Scroll to the bottom of the list of backup drives and click Add or Remove Backup Disk. Remove all the disks, then add them back. Quit System Preferences. Test.

Every time iTunes Match starts up, it gets to Step 2, almost makes it to Step 3, and then crashes and shuts down iTunes. I've restarted the computer, and reinstalled iTunes for Windows. Anyone have any idea what I should do next? There are songs that I can't sync to my iPhone 5S because of this.

I have a regular post for the top 3 or 4 fixes for that 9808 error. Obviously you are going to skip #1, since you've already tried it. Let me know how you get on with the next 2.
The top 3 fixes to itunes error 9808 seem to be
1) Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced, make sure that SSL 3.0 is checked and TLS 1.0 is checked. Also under Security make sure that the “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)” is unchecked. Then click ok and fire up iTunes.
2) The culprit was Norton. The users are set up as Admin and Standard. I have Parental Controls turned on in both Vista as well as Norton. Admin users had no problems connecting to iTunes. Standard users would get the error. I had to go to Norton’s Personal Firewall and add the program “iTunes Helper.exe” and set the option to “Allowed” (”iTunes.exe should already be in the Allowed category.) in order for the standard users to be able to connect.
3) close iTunes if you have it open right now. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes. Delete or cut the preferences.xml file which contains your iTunes preferences. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes and delete or move the preferences.xml file. For Mac users, there is only one file you must delete or move a to a new location and is located at User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.itunes.plist. Restart iTunes and it will recreate those two (or one) files with the default settings. Feel free to set your preferences back to what they were and then connect to the iTunes store and enjoy!
And #4, see if you can get into the iTS from a different windows admin account on the same PC. -

It also says that not all my stuff on my iphone is not authorised for the profile on my computer when it's all the same one.
I've noticed other posts satying to go to library> caches, to remove the apple store cache and re-start but I can't find a library or cache file on my mac (running OS X 10.9)

Hey, I had the exact same problem with my transferring a new album my friend bought on my Mac, to my iphone... It took me two days to figure it out, but it could be either of 2 things:
1. You don't have the "manually manage music and videos" box checked. If you check it, then try to click and drag it over to your music on your device, it should then sync (on iTunes 11) This was my problem, and I checked that box, and it transferred and downloaded instantly
2. You don't have enough memory space on your device to put the playlist on. This was the problem for a lot of other people, not me, but they said it worked once they cleared some space on their device.

This is a pretty simple issue to fix.
For Windows 7 or Vista: Start> Search for 'Services'> Select the Services that shows as a Program> Click on Apple Mobile Device> And then press Start.
Windows XP> Start> Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Services (You may see this on the first Control Panel page depending on which view it's in)> Apple Mobile Device> Start the service.\

Did you update your Final Cut Pro X software from 10.0 to 10.1? (On the menu bar click on Final Cut Pro > About Final Cut Pro). If so, the file structure has changed quite a bit. If you chose to Update All of your projects and events, your projects should be in an event named Updated Projects. The article below will explain this in more detail.

All of the projects that were in the Project library are collected in an event named Updated Projects at the top of the list of events in your new library in the Libraries list.
Where does my media go after I update?
Media that you stored inside your original event is stored inside your new library. Media that was linked to an external folder and not copied inside your original event stays in that external folder and is linked to your new library.
