HT1386 I bought music off itunes and synced it to my iphone but they won't play without internet connection?!
I have bought an album off itunes and having trouble syncing to my iphone 3gs. First of all, all songs from the album were synced twice and would some would not play. I finally managed to remove the duplicates and now most of the songs on the album will not play without 3g internet connection! Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
Do you have enough free space on the phone to download them?

My project in imovie says source unavailable after I moved the events to the backup drive. It is connected and shows up in the events library. I can see the pictures but they won't play without the source. What do I do.
I moved it because I did not have room on my hard drive to import my latest video. I take videos my grandkids basketball games then edit them as projects. I don't have room to move the whole events library back to my hard drive. Can I move part of it at a time.
I filled up my 1 TB back up drive so got a 3TB to move my video projects to. Do I have to move both the i photo videos and the projects to the 3 TB drive together some how. When can I delete them off the hard drive .
I moved all the i photo library to the 3 TB drive and deleted them out of i photo. That is 87 GB which I don't have room for on my hard drive.
I think when I use the export movie to my hard drive it works but will I still be able to edit it later if I want. Is it best to do quick time or i tunes if I use the export feature. -
I bought music from itunes and synced my iphone5 to get the music on it. The problem i am having is that 2 versions of the song appear on my iphone -- one light gray 'fake' version which doesnt play when i click on it and another real version. can anyone help why this is happening? and how i can delete the 'fake' version from my iphone?

Apparently my first response was off in left field. The DVD player has its own code. My recommendation is to change the code when it asks. It is possible that the disks that play correctly are region-free and the ones that don't have a region code. If this does not work, you still have four more changes available; you won't be stuck with the new code. -
I have an iPod nano 6th generation and I downloaded 3 music videos but they won't play on my iPod. They only play on my laptop/iTunes. How can I get it to work? I know that my iPod should take music videos because there is a pre-made playlist called "Music videos". Can anyone help me please????
You can sync the music videos, but they won't play on your 6G Nano, because it does not support video playback. Sorry.

I made a ringtone on an app I got on my iPhone, I put it on iTunes and synced it with my iPhone and I can't find it on my phone, where do I have to look in order to find it?
When you synced in iTunes did you select your phone in devices on t left column and then click on tones int eh window on the right. When you synced did you tick all tones and tick sync and then click sync at the bottom of the window on the right? Was the ton ein the tones folder in the library folder?

Where can I get support?Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option find it ? If not, then depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries), does it show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes for downloading (if there is an complete download of the track listed in the Music part of your library then you will need to delete it from there before it will get the cloud symbol in Purchased for redownloading) ?

hello, i have recently purchased an ipod touch.i am having trouble with apps. i have bought apps off itunes but it wont appear on my ipod. i have synced the ipod with the computer multiple times but still no luck. i think it has something to do with my settings but i am not sure.please any helpwill be very much appreciated.thank you
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
My wife and I have separate iTunes accounts. I purchased music from iTunes and have it my music folder on my iPad. I wish to use this music on our PC (windows) where the iTunes account is my wife's. How/can I do this? Thanks Guy

This has never happened to me before and I have had my iPhone for a couple years now. Just today I bought a couple albums on my mac through iTunes and they downloaded just fine. I have iCloud so they were automatically transferred to my phone. When I go to listen to the songs I found that they won't play. There is a gray box on the far right next to the song title. It won't play and after a little while it just skips to the next song. The weird thing is some songs did download all the way and work just fine. Please help!!!!
I have heard of some people having a similar problem, which was resolved by a simple restart of their iPhone. If that doesn't help you, you may want to consider de-authorizingyour computer in iTunes, then re-authorizing it and performing a sync to your iPhone again.

If she bought them using the iTunes app on the phone they should have automatically downloaded. iTunes Match has nothing to do with iTunes-purchased content; it is only for content from other sources. Launch the iTunes Store app on her phone, tap on More, Purchased, Music. Do they show up? Do they show as downloaded?

I recently did the update for iTunes and after I did that I got the error message: MSVCR80.dll file not found. I followed the suggestions from someone in this community to fix it and now some of my songs aren't playing. And they are the ones that I purchased from iTunes not CDs that I have and ripped to my iTunes library. I can see the songs listed in my iTunes library as well as on my iPod but yet they won't play. On my computer I get the message that this computer is unauthorized to play them and to authorize it. I only have one computer, so I have no idea why I'm getting this message. And does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get all of the iTunes songs to play again?

It sounds like you have some songs in your library that are not playing, and when you try to play them you are being told the computer is not authorized to play them. I would start by verifying that your computer is still authorized, and take note of the Apple ID that you sign in with:
To authorize a computer, follow these steps:
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
You may need to show the menu bar to see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.
If your Apple ID uses an expired MobileMe account, you can still authorize your computer.

Open iTunes
Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
Choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
If it is the same Apple ID then I would next delete the song, and re download it from your purchased history, with this article named:
