I cannot drag books from Itunes to Ipod touch after upgrading from XP to Win7. the books are in Itunes successfully. The system sees my Ipod, just
cannot get the books to the unit.

I cannot do anything on the Iphone or the Ipod. I wanted to put music from my Ipod to the library on Itunes and it will not do it!
Moving content is a one way street with iTunes and that is from iTunes to the iPod. You cannot copy content from the iPod to iTunes. The exception to this is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred back to iTunes from your iPod via File -> Transfer Purchases.
So all of your content that was on your iPod Touch is no longer in iTunes?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If those don't work - sign out of your account - Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad and then go back to Settings>Store and sign in again.

Have you asked on the kindle board? since it's their app that's messing up they may have more specific advice.

I have been having issues with my ipod nano. I have gone through all of R steps, I have reset my ipod, updated my ipod, re-installed i-tunes and the ipod software, checked to make sure my PC is updated.. everything. I am about at wits end.
No matter what I do, when my ipod is attached to my computer I am unable to get Do not disconnect to go away, and i-tunes never recognizes my ipod. I am able to see it from windows explorer.
Please help. Let me know if you need any additional information for clairification. I miss my ipod!

I am having problems sncing my iphone4 with i tunes. I have just changed from a windows to mac and from cable sync to iCloud. All works from imac to iPhone. but from phone to imac only partially works.

I canged name of calender on iphone and it has changed on the imac. But none of my previous entries or new entries are going to the iphone. If I add on icloud then the entry goes to both phone and imac. I have tried taking calendar off icloud and saving to phone and then reinstating and merging, but nothing changes. My contacts seems to be working fine. That also previously was synced by cable.
Anybody able to help me please

WMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. If you still have your windows machine then iTunes for Windows can convert them from WMA to MP3 format : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24158701#24158701
Or try a search for, for example, 'convert wma to mp3' to find programs to convert them.

Problems Transfering Music From I-Tunes Library to IPOD

I recently purchased the IPod 30 GB. I have an extensive Music CD collection and copied many songs from those CD's to the ITunes Library. When I attempt to sync the songs to my IPod I get a message saying that many of songs could not be found. This results in those songs not being copied to my IPod. This seems to be the case with approximately about 50 percent of the songs.
The songs could be played through the ITunes library just fine until I attempted to copy them to my IPod. After that, the songs that could not be found appeared with an exclamation point next to them and when I attempted to do anything with the songs I got a message that said "The song "name of the song" could not be used because the original file could not be found".
When I looked up the info on the files that copied over to the IPod and those that did not the only differences were as follows:
The files that copied were listed as AAC Audio Files. Those that did not were listed as MPEG Audio Files. In addition, there was no information in the "Where" box for those that did not copy over.

The ! next to the songs can mean several things. The files have been moved from the iTunes music folder, or deleted from your computer entirely. Or the song files have been renamed/edited or otherwise changed by some method other than iTunes. In any event, iTunes has lost track of these song files.
You can use Explorer to search your computer for missing songs.
On the Start menu, click "Search".
Select "All Files and folders".
In the "All or part of the file name" field, type the song name and then click "Search".
If you see the file you are looking for in the Search Results window, you can add it back into your iTunes library.

Go to the device list in iTunes, click on your iPod and check the software version in the Summary pane on the right side, or go to Settings/General/About to see more details about your model and iOS verison
The app requires at least iOS 4.0.

Syncing with iPod after changing from Windows to Apple

My Sony Vaio laptop running on MS Windows 7 crashed and I bought an Apple MacBook Pro as a replacement. After downloading iTunes, loading a few of my CDs, and connecting my iPod Nano, iTunes recognised the iPod as being connected but refused to sync. What do I do to get my MacBook and iPod on proper speaking terms.

You should probably do a Restore. If the iPod appears in iTunes, select it and go to its Summary tab. The Restore command is there. This will erase the iPod (formatting the storage for Mac OS in this case), re-install its software, and set it to default settings.

Export from FCP as H.264 aspect ratio changes from 16:9 to 4:3. Please Help

I have DVCPRO HD 720p60 selected for my timeline in FCP.
My footage is also DVCPRO HD 720p60.
Frame size, Compressor and Pixel aspect between my sequence and the clips match.
I can export an m2v just fine.
When I export a quicktime 7, H.264 300kbs file I get a stretched image (+33 aspect).
My question is: How do I export an H.264 without altering the aspect ratio?

Keep in mind that DVCPRO HD 720p is 960x720 (non-square pixels). If you are exporting to H.264 make sure you set the frame size for the export to 1280x720 to maintain a 16:9 aspect ratio with square pixels.

Cannot drag text from viewer to timeline (or canvas)

FCP 7.0.3
I literally cannot drag a text clip from the viewer to the timeline, or the canvas. At first I thought it was an aspect ration issue, but I've started new projects and cannot drag basic text to the timeline.
I recently migrated from my old system (10.6 Mac Pro), using Migration Assistant, and did not deinstall/reinstall FCS. The sequence I'm trying to add titles for is pretty complex -- but for some unknown reason, I cannot get around this.
Any help or advice you rock stars can provide would be appreciated.
