HT1386 I have a new PC; how do I change the name of the PC under the Settings/General tabs on my iPad and iPhone devices? It still is looking for the old PC name.
Looking for help with the wi-fi sync setting on my iPad and iPone.
In the summary tab in iTunes you have "sync to this computer selected an once you sync then the name you have given you PC should appear on you iOS devices

Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library). When finished goThen go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device). -

Can anyone please tell me how to stop email previews from appearing on my screen. I have turned off the preview option in settings on both my ipad and iphone, but they still keep appearing. Thanks
works ok on mine - (5, 7.1.1). Try again. with previews set to none, mine shows the sender and the subject line only. (you cannot get rid of the subject) with the other settings, you get the sender, subject line and however many lines you selected.

I recommend you consider Omnifocus. It is a task management program which runs on the Mac, Iphone & Ipad. I use it for task management and project management. It let's you store additional information as well. I sync all three devices through a Mobile Me account and I can enter data on any device and it is available on all devices. I believe you can also sync through Dropbox. I'm not sure that you can sync through iCloud yet. The link to their website is: www.omnigroup.com. There may be less expensive alternatives, but this one meets my needs and syncs very well across all devices.

My wife and I each have an Apple account, and we each have an iPad and iPhone. Is there any way for us to sync our calendars so that each of our appointments are on all devises?
This may not be exactly what you are looking for but my wife and I have a similar situation and all we do is invite each other to any calendar stuff we both need to know about. Another way you could do it is us a 3rd party calendaring that will duplicate all your entries on their server and your wife would do the same and setup a single account with that service that you both attach to your built in calendaring provided you give proper permissions. The one I would try is google calendaring which works well if you have a gmail account.

This is so lame it feels like MS Windows. From a simple one step process it now requires first to duplicate, then ito browse back to the folder you were working in and then finally to type in a new mame. Why not just leave save as?????? Log in to iTunes, go to "view your account info" on the itunes store, deauthorise all five, (Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months) and then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time.
