HT1386 i have followed your instructions and still i cannot add my itunes library from laptop to iphone
I have gone over these instructions numerous times and I still cannot add music from itunes library on my laptop to my iphone. What am I doing wrong?
Is it on a NTFS drive?
Mac can read but not write to NTFS, and it does not see all NTFS drives equally well.
To write to NTFS I use and recommend Paragon Software $20 NTFS for Mac OS X.
Ideally move iTunes to a Mac HFSX format drive though.

I can not get firefox to auto update. It down loads the update then fails when it restarts firefox every time. I have followed your instructions and it still fails. I have gone into the MS firewall and insured it is in the exceptions list as well as Trend micro systems. I would really like to get this fixed as I love your program. this is just driving me nuts. Thanks in advance for your help. Sure would be nice if you had phone support, I guess we get what we deserve when its for free.

After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’.

I can't get my new Macbook to allow me to sync and still keep my phones existing iTunes library. Even though it is the same account it doesn't seem to recognise that my Apple ID is the same
If youre like me, I have so many Apple devices, I always move things over manually rather than remember what to sync and what not to sync........ There’s an option to UNCHECK sync on any device if that helps you in ITUNES.
On any device, like your phone, in ITUNES you can check the option for manual vs. automatically sync. -
I just purchased a ipad 2 and have not sync it yet. I have an old pc and would like to move the itunes library account to a newer pc that I have. Can I move the library to the ipad and sync ipods to the ipad and/or move the library to the new pc?

But I must point out that leaving the iPhoto Library on the external is worth considering. Your internal drive would be better off without having to carry the photos.
When you booted with the external connected and you were asked for the library, did you try navigating to the Library in on the external drive? -

It is best to add your music from your original computer that music came from. Copy the folder from your old computer to your new one and add the songs to iTunes.
It is possible however to do it without your old computer. You will have to rely on 3rd party software like MusicRescue or Senuti. Many people frown on this method as it could easily lead to piracy (as so many other things can in this world...) -
Recently I have switched out computers and had copied/ transferred my I ITunes library to the new computer and encountered problem. Many of the songs in the library were purchased from my old email address of that I no longer use nor did I remember the old password in order to authorize playing from the new computer. Request advice/assistance to where I am able to play songs acquired through lost password?

I have lost my calendar and now I cannot add events to it. I keep getting message "cannot save event no calendar has been set."
Maybe you need to Tap the Calendar Button in the upper left corner of the calendar app and select a calendar in which to add the event.
Do you have. + sign in the lower right corner of the App? If not go to Settings>iCloud>Calendar>On. If you want to sync the calendar with iCloud, leave it set to on. If not, then set it to Off.
Or try this of those suggestions don't work.
Close all app scompletely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

Nothing is going to stop you from dragging it in multiple times, but what exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to get iTunes to look through the folder and pick up newly added song files? -
I'm exhausted of trying to find a solution to a problem created by Apple. I have moved to icloud following all your instructions and now I can not use my mobile me e-mail address. I can not activate icloud because when I put my e-mail address it answers that somebody is already using my address. I have my old e-mails, but I can not receive any e-mail or send them.
I have contacted Apple Technical Support in Spain and I was sent an e-mail saying that I have to call a phone number and when I call it is always an answering machine who answers that says that I have to pay 50€ for a consultation or wait for 10 minutes. When I have made the consultation it was never mentioned that I have to pay 50€ for a phone consultation. If I don't want to wait I have to pay for the Apple Tecnical Support which cost 250 €, this was not mentioned in the technical support page.
Can somebody let me know how can I contact Apple in another way in order to talk with a human being or chat directly? I was very happy just using my mobileme e-mails, I didn't need any clouds and I was force by Apple to registered if I want to continue using my mobileme e-mail address.Sandra,

I want to remove the Persona I selected and return to the Firefox default. I have outlined the issue above. I have followed the instructions in the FAQ's. There is no selection for Default for Firefox.
Do you see that persona on the Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes page?
Does that persona have an uninstall button?
If that doesn't help the reset the lightweightThemes on the <b>about:config</b> page
lightweightThemes.isThemeSelected -> false
lightweightThemes.usedThemes -> (empty string)
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.
