HT1386 I have one album on my IPod Touch that does not show up on ITunes.
I am trying to download my music to the libraries on my computer. I noticed that one of my albums is not showing on ITunes but is showing up on my IPod.

Not sure as to why it happened. I just know this has been happening to a few users lately. It may be with how you have your iPod touch configured to sync Podcasts. So you may want to double check these settings as well as mess around with them a bit to figure out if that is the cause. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure on this one. Sorry I cannot be of much help here.

I have a group of about 6 podcasts on my ipod touch that I am trying to delete b/c I've already listened to them and want to free up space. Problem is when I plug into iTunes my library does not list these podcasts as being on my ipod. I know they are on there because I can listen to them but for some reason they do not show up. All of my other podcasts show up, just not these. I'm running iTunes 9.0.3.15 if that makes a difference.
Seems like i've run into this problem before as well with an audiobook. Don't remember how I got rid of that.No problem. Glad to have helped.

With your iPod connected to your computer and iTunes running, select your iPod form the left pane, click the File menu in top bar, from there select "transfer purchases from iPod"

My ipod touch 4g does not show in Windows 7 or itunes, I've removed and reinstalled Itunes. I've done a factory default, and I've changed out cables. The ipod shows connected but does not show.
Did you remove and reinstall all the Apple software by:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Run this to see if it helps determine the cause
iTunes for Windows: Device Sync Tests
Try on another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem'
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I Have an ipod shuffle 2nd generation that is not showing itself in itunes. When i look in systemprofile is does show in de usb section.
whatever support page i look at and follow all the commands i cannot get it to be seen in itunes. i even tryd to reinstall the shuffle
with the ipodshuffle restore app and the ipod restore app but still no luck. does anybody have any idea how to fix this problem.
the issue exist on three different macs and thee different os x verslons and all have the latest itunes 12.01.try resetting ur
pc and device for 20 minutes
enter DFU mode on your ipod
if it is jailbroken make an restore

How to fix an iPod touch that does not charge but gets hot in the lower back area?
I have a 3rd generation iPod touch 32gb and it will not turn off, nor will it charge. Plugging in to my computer, iTunes does not even detected. Even if I leave it to charge, it does not detect it. The odd thing is that it get really hot in the lower back area of the iPod. It is hot to the touch, as though it were 80 degrees+. Anyway for me to fix this?
The iPod is way out of warrenty, so I wonder if a Genius bar appointment will even help me. But I will give them a try.Replace the battery. If that does not work, then system board is toasted...

I am having the same problem. Ever since I updated to iOS 5 my iPod doesn't appear under iTunes it doesn't even pop up anymore. When I connect it to my PC all it does is charge! Please can somebody help? I have read and followed all the instructions under iPod support- charge, reset, reinstall etc and none of them have changed anything!!!

IPod Touch (2g) Still Not showing up in iTunes : Nothing Works!
I've tried reinstalling iTunes, and resetting my Touch, but nothing is working. I've looked on the help pages, and am at a loss of what to do next. Oddly enough, it's showing up in iPhoto, and I'm not sure why.
The iPhoto part is the easiest to fix. With your iPod plugged in go to Applications > Image Capture and open it up. Set the Automatic Task to Do nothing.
Unplug your iPod then plug it back in. iTunes should open and recognize your iPod. If it doesn't, then you will want to open the article at the top of this section and follow the instructions.
