OK, I think I fixed it.
After trying to restore with an old backup from the phone (it estimated it would take 4 hours) I cancelled and went through the setup menus again, but set it up as a new phone. It then appeared in iTunes and I restored it from the computer, not the phone. It appears to be working, it's syncing my old apps right now.
Summary:
1. Reset settings on phone (hopefully you backed up fairly recently)
2. Set up as NEW iPhone in setup menu on phone
3. Restore from iTunes on computer when it recognizes the phone
4. Cross fingers

Recently, when I receive an email ( hotmail) the 5 line preview message appears in the left hand column as it should but the full message is not displayed.Don't know if this is related, but the iCloud servers have been having message delivery issues effecting some users for quite a while today (see http://www.apple.com/asia/support/systemstatus/). I just got another iphone, new sim same number same account, my messeges use to show on my mac, but now they dont and i already logged in to icloud from the mac and still nothinG, i use to be able to recieve my imesseges including none iphone messeges on my mac that were sent to my phone and now since i got another iphone i dont anymore.. Sorry to hear you are having issues with your new iPhone. If you are having issues receiving iMessage messages across your iPhone and your Mac, you may want to double-check that your phone number and your Apple ID are correctly linked and that all your contact addresses/numbers are set up, as outlined in the following article:

Help, got an iPad 2 and it will not turn on? Just got a blank screen with a apple logo. Tried restore (I.e. holding down both buttons for 10min) iTunes also does not recognise iPad when connected to mac?
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

MarceloIf there is no loading bar, it's usually a problem with a third party kext file in OS X itself.
You can press the power button down to force a hardware shutdown, then reboot holding the shift key down on a wired or built in keyboard, this will disable them and you go around and update your third party software.
Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar
Also take this time to backup your users files off the machine if possible.

Hi there, ok so my ipad has been either turning off or just locking itself for sometime now but last night it turned itself off and when i tried to turn it back on it just came up with a blank screen with the back light. When i put it on the charger the sound of it charging happenes but nothing else. I hav tried resetting it but as i am not very savvy with all this stuff i thought i would get some advise before doing anything else. it anyone can help me that would be fantasic
thank youIf a reset doesn't work, try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
When I log into the iTunes store my screen shows the marker go half way across the loading indicator, the screen shows a blank screen with the heading "accessing iTunes". We can't help you if you don't even know what you are installing. Never install anything if you do not know what it is. Installings through Software Update always have explanations which you should be reading to see if you actually need and/or want them.
That being said, it appears you attempted to upgrade to Mavarick. Although I am not positive.

YouTube will not work on safari for me on the ipad. Is there anyway to fix this? I can go anywhere else on the internet fine and it works on google chrome, but on safari it shows a blank screen with the bar on top after it loads, if it's even loading at all.
I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

As soon as I plug my iphone4 (running 4.3.3) into my pc, it appears in the left hand column and the little wheel starts turning. Then it stops after a few seconds and itunes freezes. I have tried everything. Can anyone help. Thanks

Yes, a very frusterating issue indeed. Someone else had mentioned a possible issue with real player, I tried getting rid of that and same issues. I even got completely rid of firefox for the moment. Guess what, problem still is persisting. I think this means it maybe something else altogether. I will go back to re-add firefox after I get this straightened out but now using Chrome for the moment.
What I've also found out is that the sound can be restarted when I unplug and replug in the 3.5mm speaker cable from the audio output jack on the back of the computer. Any ideas?

I am batch processing in PS 2014 (watermark and saving as jpeg from ps file). I get the message for some but not all 'this file needs to be saved as a copy with this option'. And then I have to save it manually. Does anyone know why this happens? (It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.) It happens for about 10 of 30/40 files approximately . Thank you, Kathryn
