want to transfer my ipad apps like kodak gallery ,drop box , wsj to my dell computer so that I can get the ippad fixed. I synced everything except the apps bought on ipad. I tried going to itune store like they recommended but I didnt know what to click on and its very importasnt to me that I dont lose my pictures and videos

I'm having this same problem and can't find a solution that works in the apple support community. What's frustrating is that this used to work seamlessly with Windows. Then I bought a macbook pro and upgraded to OS X Mavericks and a lot of stuff broke.

my ipod touch is disabled for 22 million minutes and I want to fix it but I dont want to lose my pictures and everything else. Help please I dont remember the last time I updated it. Idk I think its been a year in an half since I known about it being disabled. What do I do? Im scared to restore it because I dont want to lose my stuff.
You have to restore and thus erase your iPod. that is how it works.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Photos
- If they are in an iPod backup then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:

- If they are in the iTunes backup then get them from the backup by:

My iPod touch shows up as a apple iPod camera but if i dont want to download the pics and press cancel it all dissappears. my ipod has been lost for 3 months and has not got the latest upgrade.

What is being done about users inability to use their Apple ID at iTunes Store. I do not have another Apple ID, I do not want to change my password and I want my phone to work as it should.
You can try signing out and signing back in. You can also go into Settings > Safari and Clear all Cookies. You can even try logging into the iTunes Store on a computer and downloading a free app or something.
If none of those work, then you will have to wait for the issue to be resolved on Apple's end. -
I have a Mac mini Snow Leopard. In Numbers the grid lines are so faint that they are barely visible. Pleease could someone help me sort out this problem?

Why do you believe you are entitled to an upgrade?
Do you get to upgrade to a new car when the manufcaturer releases a new model?
What about tv's? Computers? Appliances?

If the photos are those that you've synced to the device from your computer then you will need to copy the directory that they are in on your computer. If they are photos that you've copied from your device to your computer theg you can also either copy their directory, or (if they are still on it) re-copy them from the device onto the new computer (photos to computer). -
My iPhone 4s is on iOS 6 and that is fine (with various known issues of course). My iPad is using iOS 5 and does not support iOS 6, and here lies the problem.
iTunes suggests updates to my Apps, some of which become iOS 6 only making them unusable on my iPad. I can't transfer these iOS 5 compatible versions of the Apps to iTunes because they are seen as older, and if I remove them from the iPad I can no loinger install them as I can't run iOS 6 on the iPad.
This is madness and very poor design by Apple whereby their closed management tools (iTunes) cannot actually manage a situation they have crerated themselves.
If I could at least identify which Apps in my library where iOS 6 only, I could feasibly try to locate these in my Time Machine backups and keep them manually backed up for my iPad, but Apple haven't even though tof allowing me to do this. Or perhaps they have in a hiddne feature somehow!!
Does anyone know if there is a way to identify Apps that only support iOS 6?
Even if this required a terminal search for a string within .plist files or something.
Help, my iPad is losing functionality by the day...

My iphone 4 is in recovery mode but i dont want to lose my photos or video.
i went to download new upgrade but it went into recovery mode..i did not back up my latest videos or pics and i dont want to loose them! it is stillin recovery mode and have yet to restore trying to see if i am still able to recover all my photos on my iphone4.
Normally, you cant see the iPod data in explorer, unless you put them in, using iPod Diskmode,
You can copy, whatever you see in Win explorer, from your iPod into a portable hardisk.
But you must use 3rd Party software, to copy the songs that you sync via iTunes library, from the iPod back to PC.
There are a few post these past few days on how to do it.

i want to update to 10.7.1 , so i download the update from apple.com but its not installing " saying can't be installed on my disk . What to do ?
i all ready tried download the update again and again .... because i read somewhere in apple support that the update should be of more than 70mb but mine is of 60 or 58mb . Suggest me a way to update .If you use Software Update it will designate the 10.7.1 specific for your model, and may miss somethings. It is better to download the update straight off Apple's website. Mind you, unless you know your software is not compatible with 10.7.2 or later, I recommend at minimum upgrading to 10.7.3. That's where I found to be my happy medium with. Run repair permisssion with Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility when you are finished. If you have any third party cache cleaning software remove it. Especially remove MacKeeper if that got installed using these directions since it has given people more headaches than any. The only utility you need is a backup utility. And periodically let the machine stay awake running screen saver instead of energy saver. This will keep the logfiles clean. The combo updates are better than the delta updates. Combo updates do multiple updates at once.

I have recently restored my Windows laptop to factory settings in a successful attempt to speed it up but this resulted in my laptop login account being deleted as well as my iTunes library that was linked with it so since I couldnt use that account I decided to make a new iTunes library on my new laptop login then when I tried to get the songs on my iPod on to my iTunes library I lost all of the songs on my iPod so I no longer have any of my songs anywhere that I can see but when I tried to redownload my songs from the iTunes store it just says purchased next to every album/song so I can't redownload anything so the only way that I can think of to retrieve them is downloading them from , it there anyway that I can retrieve my songs?

Itunes syncing freezes and "times out"
when i connect my iphone or my ipad to itunes the syncing either freezes completely or i get an error that says the syncing has timed out. i can never get past the syncing process to make any changes to my devices. how can i fix this?? thanks!
