HT1386 I synced my new phone with iTunes and half of the songs only play for first 2 mins even though they show the time of the full track

Only half the songs synced completely on my iPhone the others play only first couple of minutes then stop playing. They show on iTunes and the phone that they are fully downloaded. How can I fix this without buying all the songs again?

My old PC crashed and I ended up buying a new one. I was able to recover all my music from the old hard drive and restore it in itunes. I purchased a new album online thru itunes and added it to my library. When I tried to add the album to my 6th nano it wouldn't download. All the tracks are check marked and I can listen to the album on my pc but it won't sync onto the ipod. The new pc is authorized, any ideas?

You can only sysc with one iTunes library. The new computer is a new library. You have to restore your iPod on the new conputer and then sync.

I was hoping you could help me with iTunes 10.5. This update has been a pain. When I first installed it, my entire library was gone. Luckily, I saved the "iTunes Library" file before updating and copied it in place and my library appeared. But now the problem I'm having is that the iTunes can't find any of the "original" files, even though my iTunes Media file location has not changed (it's on an external network drive". When I click on the "Do you want to find the original file" I can find it in the appropriate folder. I checked the "Preferences" and under "Advanced" I re-mapped it to the appropriate location and already had the 2 boxes for iTunes organizing files checked. Then went to "File" and "Organize Library" and clicked the first check box and then got the "Copying Files" bar. When this was completed, I thought it would be able to find the original files. IPad cannot be restored unknown error 1; I tried to update my iPad 1 to new os5 by syncing to new version of iTunes and found a message that my iPad needs to be restored. I tried several times and continue to get same error code unknown 1; how to fix?

When trying to sync my ipad to latest version of itunes, it appears the ipad identity was lost and a message in itunes says to restore the ipad. However, multiple attempts to do this continue to provide the "This ipad cannot be restored. Unknown error 1" I have tried resetting my ipad which just brings back the screen to connect it to itunes. I installed iOS5 last night and was having the same problems described above with my iPad 1 32 GB + 3G. Unknown Error (1) and was unable to restore.
I took my ipad to the local Apple Store today and was told by the genius that it was a hardware issue, and because the warranty had expired, there was nothing the Store could do. He suggested that I try calling AppleCare. Then I asked to speak with a manager. He apologized again and said there was just nothing the Store could do. I was close to leaving, when I asked a second time if it would be possible to see a Manager.
After asking a second time, he called a manager. After explaining my issue to her, she immediately authorized him to give me a new iPad ! Anyone with this problem should definitely go to the store and be polite but adamant. You should get a new iPad.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

Both the ipad and iphone are designed to be used with a computer. Neither is a stand alone device.
Both are intended to be synced to your computer.
You should be syncing your ipad with a computer and the iphone.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

Presuming they're on your computer, right click on them and then follow the prompts to locate hte file on your computer.
