HT1386 ipod touch 3.1.3 will not sync. When I connect it through the USB Iphotos pops up. How can I get it to sync?
I have tried to restart my computer, restart my Ipod touch and downloaded the latest Itunes and it will still not snyc to itunes. It opens up Iphoto everytime. My computer recently crashed and I took it into Apple and now have version 10.5.8. Could that be the reason? It was working before.

It is normal and expected for iPhoto to open since that is how you get the saved photos off the iPod.

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. i had my iPod nano plugged into the USB in my truck about a week ago and it worked. All I had to do was press the AUX button. I went to use it yesterday in my truck and the iPod says do not disconnect while my truck says audio player not found. I called apple support and he said my iPod needs to be restored, so I need to retransfer the music from my library onto my iPod again. Downfall, I no longer have access to an apple laptop because my brother lost the cord to his. Please help.

Assuming your iTunes is open, as the article you attached suggests, make sure you're running the latest version of iTunes, which is currently version 11.0.1.

App tabs will not save. when close then open ff, the app tabs are gone. how do I save them?
Every time i set up some app tabs, they disappear when I close ff. So upon reopen, have to set them up again, just to disappear again when i close ff. I thought once setup, they stay until deleted. Am I wrong on this? If they are supposed to show up after closing, it is not working on my pc. Running windows xp service pack 3.
The add-on "app-tab initializer" 0.2 fixed it for me. You define your preferred app tabs and it opens them each time firefox is launched.

UPDATE
I restored the iPod via my Mac, downloading a new software file from iTunes. After that, it works fine. Updating to iOS 8.02, the new iTunes, and Yosemite worked to fix this issue. -
I have a white ipod touch 4 and it will not go into DFU mode. I know I am doing it right as I have 2 other black ones that I can put into DFU anytime no problems. The ipod works perfect besides that. Can anyone help?
DFU or Device Firmware Upgrade mode allows all devices to be restored from any state.

You likely have a hardware problem like a dead battery. To rule out a software problem try the following in order:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. -
