My i touch will not synci with my computer, keep getting erro message can you help?
Restore. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware. -

Why won't it sync? Are you getting any sort of error message during the sync process? If so what is the exact wording of that error message? If this the computer you normally sync the iPod with?

I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with your Sync account.
Your best bet is to follow the steps described in this blogposts and open a bug:

After that, if you don't want to user Sync in your computer, you can stop it with this simple steps:
* At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.

Treo 755 will not sync with my computer anymore
I have a Treo 755 (Palm os) and it will not sync with my computer anymore. I have a PC with Win XP pro SP3. The last time it sync'ed was about two months ago, I had to fiddle with the connection before it would work. Now when I plug the phone in and push the button, the computer chimes but that is all that it will do. After it times out the phone gives an error message. I am thinking that maybe it is the cable or phones contacts that are bad. (It has always been hard to unplug the cable from the phone). I have also tried reinstalling the software with no luck. How can I check the connections, is there another way to sync with my computer?
Post relates to: Treo 700wx (Telus Mobility)It said that the connection between my handheld and desk top could not be established. After I posted yesterday I looked though the web site and found were is said to blow out any dust from the terminals on the handheld so I did and it worked. This morning I tried it again and it will not connect. It must be one of the connections either on the handheld or on the cable. Is there a way of testing either? The computer is recognizing the handheld but it just will not communicate.

Roomate deleted most of my music on my ipod touch and now it will not sync with itunes when I try to put the music back on.
- First try resetting the iPod:

I have an I touch and will not sync with my new ford truck. I get an error message stating the accessory is not supported.
Does Ford say the iPod model you have with its iOS is compatible? You likely have to wait for an iOS update from Apple or an update to your car's system from Ford.

Hi,
I set up another windows computer I had which run XP and got it to sync there. I cant get WIFI syncing working though.
After that I went back to my Netbook which had the problem and now it works!!!
This one runs Win 7 Starter and is the one I normally do not use.
WIFI sync does not work on the WIN 7 one either, but never has.
We have aMAC in the house and another iPad and no troubles WIFI syncing with that one.
So this problem is solved.
Not sure why it started to work again on the netbook but may be after a couple of reboots etc
I also flushed he previous syncs.
Seems like it worked after syncing with a different machine.
Any way all seems well for now
