My ipod will not sync with my laptop. I have had previous Ipods in the past, but since then I have grown out of most of my music. Also about a year and a half ago I got a new laptop. I used the same Itunes name, but now on my new Ipod it has all of my old music and it refuses to download any of my new music. When I am using home sharing though, it says that I can turn on my "Library" but that my "music" is what is perminately on the computer. This only works though if I am near my laptop. You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. To make this your syncing computer:

What happens when you try to reset it? Have you gone to Settings/General/Reset on the phone and tapped Erase all content and settings?

You've turned on the Parental/Content Restrictions by mistake
Look in iTunes at Edit/Preferences/Parental>Content Restrictions>Restrict explicit content and make sure the tick is not in the checkbox.

Recenly my harddrive crashed i lost all my imformation, including itunes, i reinstalled itunes but now it wont synce all my music, like my cds that i copied to the libray only the itunes that ive download and purchase. Also i just purchase a alumb from itunes and it wonld sync?

Sound does not sync up with the video and don't know why.

i was syncing my iphone 4s today and updating my music. itune said it couldn't sync 16 songs and to see itunes for details but could see a reason why it couldn't do it. anybody got any solutions?

Could be a few things. Are they songs you purchased in iTunes? If so, double-click them to play them, If they are not authorized, you'll be asked to login which should authorize the songs for syncing.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

HT2905 itunes has duplicated all my imported songs and not the albums so cannot use your solution

Itunes has duplicated all the songs of my library; how can you get rid of duplicates the quickest way possible knowing that I can't use
the suggestion to delete albums as they are the songs and not the albums which have been duplicated.

The script still works as intended whether you can pre-filter for duplicates or not. As of right now there may be an issue with some of my scripts if the library is displaying available iCloud purchases. Untick Edit > Preferences > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases if the script bombs complaining of missing object properites.

my daughter received an ipod and an itunes card for christmas and began multiple apple id's with a few different email addresses. she entered the itunes card code into one of these. i have all the card info and receipt. is there anyway she can still use this card?

As long as you are signed into the account which she registered the card with, you will be able to use it. I'm guessing you just don't know which account that is. Logging into all of them would be the only way to find that out. Hope that helps :)
