I have tried both options .. back up on this computer and also back up on icloud.
The backingup is fine .. there is no problem .. even synchronizing songs , applications , calender , mail accounts is fine .. only the contacs are not synchronizing. The itune goes on and on .. showing synchronizing contacs .. but nothing happens. When i uncheck contacts synchronisation .. everything works fine . I have also reorganized my address book . but it does not help

5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
After upgrading software on my iphone 5. I am not able to make in app purchases. I have tried to turn off restrictions and still not able to make in app purchases. Can anyone help me?

I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
A while back I had to restore my laptop to factory settings due to a virus. Until that time, I was able to sync my newer Ipod Touch 4th Generation. Now, even though when I connect my Ipod, it shows it there, I am unable to sync it with my Itunes on my laptop. Therefore, I cannot get all my music onto the Ipod. I tried to troubleshoot. It said to go under my Ipod and manually sync, but when I clicked the "sync" but, after a few minutes an error came up saying "Could not sync. Sync failed to start." Anyone know what I can do?

Nano is otherwise working fine alon and in downloading from ITUNES, but suddenly, it will not allow me to turn it
off by pressing the play/pause button as usual. And when I try to reset by holding down menu and select, it merely goes back to the Apple icon--and turns itself back on--leaving me in a situation of constantly charging! Someone told me that if I went into ITUNES and my Adminisrator source--there would be someway to reset. I do not want to download whole new itunes version either. Has anyone had this craxy problem? ThanksI had a similar problem when I first got my Nano. I went into Admin, as you describe, and reset the unit back to factory defaults. I then resync'd all my music. It's worked great since then.

I cannot restore my iPhone in iTunes, have tried everything! Please help
Last night I succesfully connected my iPhone to iTunes, updated to current software and bought a few new songs...all ok. In the iPhone summary it showed my details and serial number of the iPhone.
Just as it was finishing the updates it said that my iPhone could not be found and needed to be restored as it was in recovery mode, when I clicked on the relevant box it said the iPhone could not be located and there was an error 1611. All the details in my summary now showed n/a.
My iphone screen is stuck on the 'connect to iTunes' symbol and no amount of holding down the button/home screen will re-set. Cannot turn the phone on or off, have tried recharging with a different plug in...nothing.
I have done all checks on my pc, re-installed iTunes, DFU...absolutely everything that the internet tells you to do!
I called Apple and they said it was a hardware issue and would cost between £120 - £200 to repair.
If anyone has any ideas...please help!

Synching iPhone to iTunes (have tried all suggestions)

I’m having terrible troubles synching my iPhone to iTunes. I have done the following to try to rectify the problem myself, but I keep getting the “iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorised for purchased items that are on this iPhone” error message. Here’s what I’ve tried thus far:-
Deauthorising Computer then reauthorising it. Did not fix problem.
Deauthorised ALL computers then re-authorised the one I am currently using. Did not fix problem
Turned off User Account Controls, shut down computer, restarted and turned on User Account Controls (I am using Vista). Did not fix problem
Removed SC Info folder. Did not fix problem
I even uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, but again, this did not fix the problem
In the process of doing all of this, I found that I had 2 Apple ID’s. One that was created in error for iCloud. I checked which Apple ID my iPhone was referencing and it turned out that it was referring to the one I had created in error. So I then changed the Apple ID in my iPhone to my original Apple ID by going to settings > iCloud > Account > Delete Account. Then reinstalled iCloud with my original Apple ID. I also did this for “iTunes & App Store” setting in my iPhone. This did not fix the problem.
I could be wrong, but I am guessing that the error is due to the 2 Apple Ids, but I am now at a loss to know what to do to resolve the issue. If anyone has any ideas, I’d greatly appreciate the help and advice. The icon is telling you that you have to connect it to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod then you should get messages that tells you what to do.

I am not able to sync ipad 2 with itunes 11.4 as it not recognizes the device
When I connect the device ipad 2 with the mac air, itunes ver 11.4, I get the error message that the iphone is not connected anymore and it blocks the itunes there.

It has been shown there are problems with the latest update of iTunes and Windows computers. What you need to do is remove and reinstall iTunes, and make sure that you follow the steps in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923. If you do not follow them exactly, you will just compound your problems. Once you do this, you should have no trouble having the phone recognized in iTunes.

I can't synch my iPhone with iTunes because the device does not show up in a device window when I plug it in...it's missing in action and thus I'm not able to add any content from the iTunes to my iPhone, e.g. podcasts. All the instructions on synching start with "find your device in the device window". But what if you have no device window?
Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
