HI I am trying to connect my new iPhone 5S to my iTunes on my mac and this is the message I get "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone” because the device timed out." Not sure what this means!

Do you have the latest iTunes 11.1.4?

Cannot sync iphotos or itunes with new iphone

I have just purchased a new iphone, which I have synced with my MacBook Pro using itunes. I have also authorised the computer from the 'Store' drop down menu.
After connecting the iphone with the provided usb and dock I have successfully synced all my contacts, calendar, bookmarks and mail accounts but when i try and sync the iphotos and itunes it fails with the message 'The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation'.
As I have more than 14gb free and the iphoto folder I am trying to import is very small I don't understand the problem. Can anyone help?

ok finished verifying and repairing disk permissions with Disk Utility but I still get the same message.
with regards to the permissions setting via finder, I'm not sure what i need to check but there's nothing obviously wrong. It's currently set to read & write
I restored the factory settings and still it failed to load iphotos and I still get the same message. Within ITunes should it list photos under the DEVICES list as it currently shows Music, Movies, TV Shows & Ringtones.
On the plus side however, I have managed to load itunes now. Not sure why I can't seem to do the same with iphotos?

Backing up old iPhone and syncing with new iPhone 5 on a different account.

I recently purchased a new iPhone 5 on a straight talk account. I had an iPhone 4 on Verizon prior to now. My daughter and I have been sharing an iTunes account but this has caused us several problems receiving each other's texts and pictures and misc info. I signed up with a new iTunes account in an effort to avoid any future problems but I think I have created new problems. I have been trying to back up my old iPhone to the iTunes account and then sync it with the new phone. I was able to get my apps and music to appear on the new phone but my contacts and pictures didn't sync. I went into the iTunes program and marked the different things I wanted to sync. Still didn't work. Every time I run a sync with the new phone it acts like its a brand new phone and starts back at the programming stage with language and country option and then tells me to plug it into iTunes. Then the same process is repeated with the same result. Help. I just want to get my info off my old phone to my new phone and have a separate account from her. Also, I have an iMac and iPad. Please advise!

Cannot sync music with new iphone 5 or podcasts

This is so frustrating, Podcasts start to download on my phone then tell me theres an error, I can't sync my itunes music with phone either. I've searched on here and appled many techniques. I am subscribed to podcasts. I've checked manually manage music, there's only 2 songs i've imported by CD that I want!!
Can anyone help?

What happens when transferring Podcasts from your iTunes library on your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process, which is selected under the Podcasts tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
if I go into my music on my phone and choose 'not on this iphone' the music comes up I choose what I want to download and the same thing as the podcast happens so I connected to itunes via my macbook air and it won't sync!
The first part is not syncing with iTunes. This is for downloading music on your iPhone that was purchased from the iTunes store - that is not on your iPhone. This does not apply to Music imported into your iTunes library on your computer from a music CD unless you have iTunes Match enabled with your iTunes account.
What error message is provided if any when trying to transfer music from your iTunes library on your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process? Manually managing music and videos requires dragging the music from your iTunes library to your iPhone located under Devices in the iTunes source list. Syncing requires selecting Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and making your selections below followed by a sync. What happens when doing this?

TS4062 Can't sync wirelessly with new iPhone

I've done all seven steps here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4062?viewlocale=en_US. I have an iPod, iPad, and iPhone 4. All were syncing wirelessly. I upgraded the iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. The new iPhone won't sync wirelessly. The iPad and iPod still sync fine. On the iPhone, the "Sync Now" button is greyed out. I have iOS 6.0.2, iTunes 11.0.1, and Mac OS X 10.7.5.
Why does this have to be such a pain?

Ever since the new version of itunes came out, I can't sync my ipod with it. I have Windows 7 and an ipod nano.

When I sync my iPod touch with iTunes it does not organize my music correctly. For example under one artist only one album will be shown when actually I have three in iTunes. But when I look under the albums category they all appear. How can I fix this?

There aren't any issues with the new iTunes. You need the most recent iTunes to sync your iPod

Sync issues with new iphone

Hi, I've recently upgraded to an Iphone 5S. I've gone thru all the motions of set-up and synced it to my current Itunes library. All went ok. I tried to update the phone today and the device is no longer recognised in ITunes and a message prompt appears on the phone saying 'Trusted Computer'. I have had an update on the device recently for IOS 7.0.4, i'm not sure if this has affected my settings. Is there a way of sorting this out?, i've tried doing a full reset of the device and had no luck i still get the 'Trusted Computer' prompt

Cannot synce photos with new iPhone 4

Just upgraded my AT&T 3GS to iPhone 4. Did the initial sync with no problems except it did not sync the photo I selected. Tried rebooting both thr phone and the computer (Windows 7). Still doesn't sync photos. I runs through optimizing photos twice then says sync is complete. Never had problems syncing the 3GS. Both phone and iTunes have the latest updates. Suggestions?

if she backed up in ios7 she can restore from the cloud in ios7
if she backed up from a device on ios8 then she has a problem.

Hot to sync iTunes in new iPhone?

My old iphone was destroyed, so I need to re-sync my musinc once I get the new phone. How do I accomplish that without the iPhone thinking that I am attempting to sync the music to 2 phones/iPods?

There should be no problem. I too got a replacement phone and when I went to resync, it worked fine. Both of the phones have different serial numbers so iTunes won't stop you. It will just recognize it as a new phone. Just resync like before and you will be all good.

Syncing itunes with ipad2 & iphone

hi i have recently purchased a new macbook pro and also an ipad2,i also own an iphone4
my question is how to sync both ipad & iphone.At this current time the only apps on the ipad are for ipad only and there are no apps on the iphone apart from the ones which came with it as i have reset the iphone.
what i am trying to achieve is ipad only apps and iphone only apps on each device.
Any advice will be gratefully recieved.

Sorry for my ignorance but i'm trying to do things right from the beginning as ive had a few problems in the past.
I had my iphone synced on a previous laptop(windows) and i purchased the original ipad and when i connected the ipad it asked if i wanted to use a back up of the iphone or install ipad as new and i chose the back up of the iphone option.But now i am installing everything new on my macbook do i install both as new.

I've been having problems syncing my iPhone with my iTunes for years now. Basically what happens is that I'll plug it in, press sync, and it will go through all the steps, but nothing changes on my phone. I've been in the Apple store multiple times, and the only thing that worked was restoring the phone, or occasionally if I unchecked all music, then reselect the music, it would work.
However now, no matter what I do, synching my iPhone makes no changes. I've tried rebuilding on my iTunes library on two computers (a Mac genius told me it might be corrupted) and it still does nothing.
I'm desperate! I just want to listen to music on my iPhone. Any help appreciated.
P.S. I'm not the most tech savvy, so if people could be particularly specific that would help me immensely.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List

Sync iTunes With Inherited iPhone

Hello. I've inherited an iPhone and want to sync my own iTunes account, playlist and apps via iTunes on my laptop. When I plug it into iTunes on my laptop, the iPhone still displays as the last user and I'm unable to sync my apps and music playlist. What do I need to do?

I cannot sync itunes with my iphone 5

I'm trying to edit the music on my IPhone 5. In the past I would have simply selected the artists or tracks I wished to sync and pressed sync. However I'm not finding the option to select the artists anywhere. I've tried deleting all the music from the phone, but that doesn't work either. It keeps reappearing when I go to sync selected artists. I seem to be stuck with what is on the phone.
Anyone got any ideas?
