HT1386 syncing my music to my pc
My old lap top broke, and I am using a new pc.. my itouch is only wanting to sync the songs I have purchased on my touch, only 210 of my 2195 songs. Any body know what to do?

Dear Apple, why is not possible in the year 2014...sync to my iPhone just content I want to separety, without the whole sync procedur(backinup,syncing whole purchased things and stuff like that) When I want to have in my phone for example just 3 new songs ..I dont wanna wait 10minutes because of whole synchronization!!! I have Windows OS and iTunes for PC, but the problem is not in my PC, but in synchronization. Your synchronization take minute or two, you have thunderbolt lightning cable??? If is it by you really so quick than ok but by me is it with sync really slow and I have still powerhouse notebook.
I dont know how is it possible that your sync is so quick, but my iPhone starts transfering purchased aplications and all content to the PC, instead of downloading it PC itself without iPhone from iStore. So there is what happend when I am conecting my iPhone.
When it find my iPhone on the first try, it starts makeing backup, than transfering photos, aplication, some info from Safari and to the end also the MUSIC...this should be improved by Apple and it should be able to sync just MUSIC section and not whole system, when I changed just something in MUSIC section(like adding new CD..)
So it does on PC whole resync Maybe is it somewhere in options, but where? I really want sync sometimes just MUSIC or just Apps and nothing else(like Photos, Bookmarks...)
I am sorry for that angry tone, but I am really stresedby this 20minutes sync or 10 miutes...just becouse of adding 1-2 songs, this is by competition phones quicklier :/ !

I have upgraded to an iPhone 5 and I just cannot sync my music onto the phone. It synced with my iPad no problem (which I got after the iPhone 5) but it WILL not sync with the iPhone? I bought iTunes Match to see if that was why and that is just even more of a nightmare without constant wifi...Please help!?!?
Thanks for your suggestions Amy_lou, I have tried everything. Eventually it synced, I got in my car, plugged it in and it would not play. I switched the phone off and back on and low and behold, there was no longer any music on the phone (by which time I was cursing apple and ready to throw it out the window). A friend (a i guru) has had a go, looked up some stuff but no luck. I think it will have to be taken in to an istore. Really not happy with the iPhone 5.

Why the Iphone 5 won't sync all music and why do i have a large strage for other?
If you want all the songs from an artist on your phone you can to to the artist view, tap on the artist, scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see a Download All button. This works for playlists and albums too (scroll to the bottom and tap the Download All button). I suppose if you wanted all your music on your phone you could create a smart playlist in iTunes on your computer that would contain all your music, upload it to iTunes match (Store>Update iTunes Match), and then you would get a Download All button at the bottom of this playlist on your phone to download all your songs.

After downloading songs to my Playlists, when I try to
sync the music to my IPod, an error msge says
"The IPod cannot be ejected because it contains
files that are in use by another application".
What does this mean??- Terminate the sync
- Reboot the computer
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

The warning is correct, take it seriously. If you have a new computer, you need to transfer the iPhone files to it from your old computer. See these links:

I am unable to Sync my music, indicates a "duplicate file name was specified." Thoughts?
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Then make sure that you have the right boxes chacked to sync. See:

I have tried syncing my music from my itunes on my macbook to my iphone 4s and over 30 song won't transfer. It says the files cannot be found. Why is this and can I fix it?
You can try to repair your library. Once you are sure the files are all taken care of, you can sync the phone to remove all of the music and then sync again to add it back. That should take care of the issue.

I want to sync just music and video. Why It make backup with Steps 1 to 7. And I add 10 more songs in Liberary and synced.
But iPhone is showing 91 songs instead of 103 Liberary shoes 103. Why these new song are not syncing.

I have an iPod Generation 4. I have been using it with my pc Windows 8 iTunes for some time with no problem. Recently I had to do a system restore and reinstall itunes 7. It works great but I lost all of my music in itunes but I still have all of my music on my iPod. When I try to sync new music I have to my ipod itunes tells me it will erase all existing content on my ipod and replace it with the new content. My question is: How can I add my new music without loosing my old music?
