HT1386 What's wrong with my iTunes/ iPhone?

Today, I decided to grab some CDs and put them on my iTunes. That worked just fine, I could listen to my music then i just out into the library with no problems. I them decided to out the songs on my phone, I have all the correct settings for iTunes and my iPhone. What my problem is that I plug my iPhone in, it buzzes, says it's charging, and the iTunes program starts to sync. It says it's starting to sync, then backing up, then it skips to the last step and says "waiting for changes to be applied" then i checked my music on my phone, and nothing changed.

HELP?? Restored my computer and still having this error.

Late sleep on MacBook Air, it must be the very long list of history in repair permission that how many times I repair it, when it's done, I do it again, suddenly it's a long list again, all about iTunes. So what's wrong with this iTunes 11.10.

As long as the report ends up with 'Permissions repair complete' then, as far as permissions go, you are fine. You can ignore the various statements in the report:

Using 'should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrw-r--r--' as an example, you will see the that the permissions are not changed, but the | indicates a different location. This is because an update to Leopard onwards changed the location of a number of system components.

Can't Update my itouch into higher software version unless using another computer. What is wrong with my itunes?

I have itouch 2nd Gen, 8GB with software version 3.1.3 and itunes 10.3.1 (the latest). I know that the farthest software for 2nd gen itouch is 4.2.1, right? BUT everytime i try to check for updates on i tunes, it would always state that it is the latest version. Before, it used to be 1.3.1 (or so. Can't remember) and it insisted that was the latest version until I connected it to a friends computer and voluntarily updated itself to 3.1.3. I'm torn now because I want to know what the **** is wrong with my itunes. I've restored multiple times, still, it won't upgrade. I EVEN HAD MY WHOLE LAPTOP FORMATTED, and still, failed. Please help me out!:(

Are you really sure that you have a 2G iPod? From what is happening it appears that you have a 1G iPod that canonly go to 3.1.3, Check here:

The last days the app update is behaving very strange. One moment there are no updates, then suddenly there are 8 but iTunes cannot find them. And at this moment, there are 41 updates being downloaded while 5 minutes ago there were none. What's going one?

Before it comes on, it says there is a problem with the audio configuration. Then it won't even play music once I'm on it. It started doing it once I tried to download some harmless music on iTunes from my Droid. Wth? O.o

Thank you for your help, I uninstalled my anti virus and found that my problems have gone. I reinstalled and for now everything is fine.

In the column on the left of my iTunes for navigation, etc., I notice that there is a "Shared" section and in it is something called "john leicester's music". I have no idea who that is, and all of the songs in it, when I connect to it, are songs that I don't have at all (save for a few). I'm very confused as to why someone's music is available to me through my iTunes, and I don't want that to be there. I've clicked the "disconnect" option several times, and all it does is either stop my from connecting to "john leicester's music", or freeze my iTunes completely.

Yeah, with iTunes you can share your music with other people. I am a college student and there are people on the same network that shares their music. I can listen to them but I can't download the file. Its a way of saying, here's my music I hope you like my music styles and preferences. If you are bothered by that, then you can tell iTunes not to show you anyone's music. To do that go to Edit>Preferences>Sharing. In there you can set the preferences that you want.

the first thing that i check for when people report getting that message when they try to launch their itunes is a broken QuickTime.
try to open your QuickTime. does it launch properly, or do you get an error message?
if you get an error message, the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

After I updated to iOS 6 when I listen to music. It skips songs. When I tap to play a song it skips 2-6 songs and plays a random song. Why is this? Can it be fixed?

AAAhhhh.. c'mon Apple this is REALLY annoying.
OK - before the IOS6 update... ituenes match worked fine. Now... i have songs skipping. It will show the artwork for a brief moment and then automatically move onto the next song.
I've tried everything, turning both match on device and itunes on and off, restore etc.
Anybody any solutions? I suggest we all demand our money back for itunes match for a start as I'm not paying for a product that doesn't work! I'm sure if we all do this Apple will hurry up and get it sorted!

Hi, any one can help me in this 2 problems?
Firstly today when i tried to open itunes, my com indicate to me that my quicktime ver is 6.5.2 and needs to upgrade to ver 7.13 which i did process to itunes for a new ver @ apple.com .
But after trying and installing the new itunes ver 7.3 and quicktime ver 7.2 whenever i try to open itunes , there is a message indicating that there is an error and needs to close while quicktime tells me its an buffer overrun and needs to close too.
I cant seem to solve the problem and its trying me nuts.
Please give me some advice.

I've been getting the same message for like an hour now. Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end. They probably already know about it by now, and are hopefully working on fixing it, so there's probably not much we can do but wait for them to fix it.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
