HT1386 When I plug my iPhone 5s into my computer, it will not showup on my iTunes. How do I get it to show up and sync?
Lately when I plug my phone into my computer with my usb cord it will not show up on my iTunes. I want to sync my phone again but can't when it is not connected. How can I get my iTunes to recognize my phone?

you may have to manually delete anything related to itunes in regedit

I'm getting an error message when I plug my iPhone 4 into my computer. It says, "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Moblie Device Service has not been started." What does this mean? I've never had this error before. It's also giving the same message with my iPod touch. Please help!

DanaGalYou can easily check whether you've the Apple Mobile Device in your computer.
Right click 'My Computer' , then Manage => Services and Applications => Services. Apple Mobile Device is listed in alphabetical order. If none, it means you've not download iTunes into your computer yet. If yes, please ensure the Apple Mobile Device is in 'Started' status.

Alright, I've had this problem for a while now, and I'm at my wit's end. Hope someone can help me.
First of all, I'm running Windows 8.0 on a Lenovo, using iTunes 11.1.5, and an iPhone on iOS 7.0.6.
Problem is, when I plug my iPhone 5 into my computer, the computer recognizes the iPhone, but for some reason, iTunes doesn't realize it's there. On top of that, every time I plug in, my phone gives me the same "Trust this computer?" prompt, like it doesnt recognize the computer I told it to trust 5 seconds ago. A couple times, I got lucky and iTunes dignified me with a "An iPhone has been detected, but could not be identified properly." prompt. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile device driver, updating everything, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, resetting my iphone settings, but nothing works. In need of help figuring this phone stuff out! I am trying to get all the apps from my husbands old phone to his new one. I have already backed up the old phone and got everything onto iTunes, but every time I plug the new iPhone 5s into my computer it says that the version of iTunes is not correctly localized for this language and asks for me to run the English version. I have no idea how to do that? Please help.

Your profile says you are running a PowerBook with OS X 10.1.
If that is true, your Mac and operating system are probably too old to recognize the iPhone.

iPhone will not charge when plugged into wall adaptor but will charge to 30% when plugged into USB on computer but then starts to drop from the 30%. Why?
Check the charger, and check the cable. It could be one of those is bad. Since you were able to get some charge from the computer, I would say the connection may be good, so it could either be the mains charger or the cable. See if you can find another one to test.

- Restore the device from that backup.
Note the backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like alls and music. -

As the Question sugests i am being told to restore my iphone 4 almost everytime i plug it in to my computer, I might get one time that it doesn't tell me to straght after the restore. After that i try to sync it and it just comes up with an un expected error occoured and then it all starts again that i have to restore it, All my apps work just my music dissapears. Can this be fixed or do i need to take it somewhere, It has the latest software.

Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if available.

Randomly when I plug my Iphone 4s into Itunes it will tell me that it can't detect my phone and that I need to restore it. It doesn't happen every time, but maybe every two weeks.I restore it and then it works for a while, but then a couple weeks later I'll plug it in and I get the same message again. It's very frustrating because even though I have all the settings to save to cloud, my apps and data don't all come back.

When I plug my iPhone 4s into my PC, I get a message that says iTunes needs a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. It wants me to uninstall both the AMDS and iTunes and then reinstall iTunes. iTunes won't recognize my phone and so I can't synch it. Has anyone else run into this problem recently and how did you resolve it? Thanks!

When you connect your iPad or iPod to the Mac, click on the device name in iTunes - don't click on the arrow on the device. Then click on the Music tab in the main window pane. Now you should see 'Sync Music' and all your playlists, artists and albums. Here you mark the checkboxes for what should be synced.
