HT1386 Where did my sync'd music go?

I just got a new Imac. I sync'd my ipad to the Imac and the 1.000 songs I had showed that that were there under homesharing. Now howsharing is gone and so are my songs. What am I doing wrong.

How did you install ML? upgrade? Erase and install?
restore your backup of teh iPhotolibrary from before the upgrade and launch iPhoto

Via Creative Cloud.
One caveat: If you want to work with PS Touch's native file format (which is PSDX), you'll have to have Photoshop CC (or CS) and the PSDX plug-in.
Another option would be to export any projects as the PSD file format and open those in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you import these back into PS Touch, note that PSD files will be automatically flattened.

You can try to repair your library. Once you are sure the files are all taken care of, you can sync the phone to remove all of the music and then sync again to add it back. That should take care of the issue.

Itunes will not sync music to my phone. It will go through the sycning process but nothing will be there.
I have no songs and if I try to downlaod a new song it gets stuck in downloading and will give the error
"download error. Tap to retry" I have done everything on the forums but nothing has worked for me.

On iTunes 12, I cannot seem to find the "Info > Advanced > Replace Information on this iPhone" functionality. I have a bunch of IMAP accounts, and while I could create or update them manually on the phone, that's extremely tedious. I can't seem to find this functionality in iTunes 12; has it been removed? Do we really have to create all accounts manually.
(Note: This has nothing to do with iCloud; this is for IMAP mail accounts.)

I see my music library on the laptop, it doesn't show up on my cloud or iPad4 BUT really I want it all on the NAS drive. Some how I suspect I need to burn/rip my cd's off my laptop to the NAS and shared to all my iTunes devices... Hmmm
Does any one have a recommendation or advice... Not used to the iRevolution as it's the families first iDevice.

HT1386 I try to sync my music back over after restoring my phone and I keep getting stuck on the waiting for changes to be applied step.

can anyone help me fix this issue. It is particularly annoying having lost all the music I have on my phone when all I do is listen to music.

Version 11.1.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

ICloud and iTunes: Where did it go?

I paid up for iCloud to be able to have my music backed up on the Cloud. The last time, my MAC crashed fatally and I lost everything--even though it was supposedly backed up on another server.
Anyway, this time I backed up everything to the Cloud! Or so I thought.
I just purchased some new iTunes music and wanted to back it up to the Cloud.
Uh, oh.
No iCloud on iTunes. Went to Sys Pref and iCloud. No way to back it up there either since iTunes isn't an option.
Went through every iTunes menu. Nothing there either.
Where did all my 'Cloud' music go to? Where is the iCloud backup for iTunes?
Why is everything on Apple such a hassle?!?!?
Please don't tell me I have to go to the 'genius bar' to get this cleared up.

iCloud does back up your Music, but you have no direct way to acces it. Also, iCloud is not intended to be a backup for your computer. If you want to protect your computer, you should be backing it up to an external drive using Time Machine.
The primary purpose of iCloud is to provide you with a single source to share Music, Photos, Documents, etc. between your devices and your computer. It is not designed as a backup, but can be used to back up certain information for your IOS devices - not your computer. Here is an article explaining this:

For music that you've purchased from Apple that are on your iPhone you should be able to copy to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. Also if you are in the US then you should be able to re-download past music purchases for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For your own music that you've copied, then if you haven't got a backup on, for example, external drives or CDs/DVDs then you could see if any of the utilities mentioned in this old post still exist and work

I read your entire message, and my mom's iPhone 5 does this exact same thing. When the idiot at the AT&T store transferred her data (well, most of it) to her new phone, he DID NOT use her latest iCloud backup like he should have, but used some features in "Bump" to move things across. So, in my opinion, it's not worth the hassle of restoring it as a new device as Tim suggests. That's just the easy answer. Here's something odd about hers. It seems to do this, when she's using her bluetooth earpiece (a Jawbone Icon), but not when she's got bluetooth disabled on the iPhone 5 and holding down the "Home" button to activate Siri. If she uses her Jawbone bluetooth earpiece to activate Siri, the answer that Siri presents on the phone's screen will only stay on for about five seconds, then dim, then go blank -- and she has to "swipe to unlock" and, of course, the Siri information is gone. Not so if she uses the Home key to activate Siri.

Today I Sync'd my iPhone and iPod to add Christmas music. Now I have lost all my music off both devices. What now? The Playlists are showing up on iTunes but not on the devices!!! Where did it go???
