My phone used to open itunes and sync as soon as i pluged it on my computer but now, it open the storage and i can't sync it what should i do ?

If the music isn't on your computer's iTunes then you should be able to copy iTunes purchases back from the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. For music bought from other sites or copied from CDs then aren't they already on your computer and/or on a backup ? If not then you will need to find a third-party program that can copy them back from the iPad.

I purchased 3 ringtones from the Apple Store and put them in my Tones library under iTunes. Now I want to sync my Tones library to my iPhone. I have tried many things but the tones are not showing up on my iPhone.

I am having the same problem this person is having. I have 3 ringtones, all purchased through itunes 2 years ago, also all synced to my old droid phone just fine. They will not sync to my iphone regardless of what I try. They do not show up under ringtones or any list in my music files. This is enormously frustrating as it worked like a charm with the droid.

Yes, the tone is available and checked in iTunes under the Tones library.
Yes, it is also listed under the Tones tab for my iPhone, but it is grayed out.
Yes, tones are selected under "sources" in General Preferences, along with everything else.
SyncTones was NOT selected under the Tones tab for my iPhone. I did so and it synced.

A computer USB port does not provide enough power to charge and run the iPad at the same time but it will charge it if the iPad is turned off. It will take about four times as long to charge than with the iPad charger.
The Contacts icon may be inside a folder, such as Utilities.
There is no Facetime icon. Start a Facetime link from a contact.

Log in as an Admin User on your PC. Type 'Services' in the search area above when you click on start. (or see control panel and select Admistrative Tools.)
Select the Services shortcut. In the window that appears with your listed service, navigate to ipod service, Apple Mobile Device service, and, Bonjour Services. Doubleclick them to get the property page. Change startup to automatic, click apply. Then click start,
There is a known issue that when iTunes updates it incorrectly sets the Service startup type - this is normally due to installations on Vista and win7 services and drivers that run in the Local Sstem requiring Admin account permissions that are not always granted with User Account Elevation, when running installations or updates in User account.
Normally the Local System is set to inherit the User account permission token when being set up - but Apple in their infinite wisdom have a higher token in place for their services. so a standard user cannot derogate the required elevation, even with the UAC to admin prompt, since the local system is owned by the Machine account and only Admin, bBackup, Restore, Machine, operator accounts carry the same descriptor permissions on process ownership to set these services correctly.
Third party security programs, such as Kaspersky can also limit installations by User account installations, which adds to the problem. I have had a few installations fail, even in Admin mode - because Kaspersky sits on par with the Main Machine Administrator account for watching program and installation directories and registry keys - (which have higher privilege levels in some respects than the ordinary Admin account you normally start a new machine in before you add any other user accounts- all very confusing - but that's Microsoft all over for you.
Follow Ralph's advice if you do not have the necessary software already installed. You should install Apple's Application Management Software - which will look after the installation of all required elements for you and notify you of updates pending. In options have it set to Notify only - not all updates may be requred, and this option allows you to see what is being installed. It is good practice to set all updating software to Notify only - especially any thirdparty software - much of which carry all sorts of little 'extra's' you may not need or want.
It is also good practice to keep an eye on your Program and Features option in control panel, just to see what is being installed and when - including Windows updates.
Sorry about the long reply, but with December being your last sync - a lot can change in the meantime. Best be prepared.

Why won't anything sync to my iPod??

Why can't I sync anything to my iPod? Every time I sync, nothing happens and the sync goes really fast. I don't get any error messages either. I've tried to drag things too. Nothing works!!! Apps and movies don't sync either. I have iOS 5.0.1 for my iTouch 4g and iTunes 10.5. PLEASE HELPP!!!!

You have to select the content to sync in iTunes and then sync the iPod. If you auto sync - let the sync complete and then start with these instructions.
This example is for music - but all content works/syncs the same way - apps, photos, books, movies, etc.
Connect the iPod to your computer and launch iTunes
Select the iPod under the devices heading on the left side.
Click on the Music Tab in iTunes on the right side at the top
Select the music - playlist, album, etc that you want to sync
Select the Sync Music Heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
This simply shows where you select the iPod under the devices heading. It works the same way with any content that you want to sync.

I cant seem to get my computer to recognize my new ipad.
When I plug in my sync cord my computer beeps but the ipad does not show in devices on itunes.

Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, restart the iPad and try again. Also try another USB port on the computer. Do not use a hub.

Why the Iphone 5 won't sync all music and why do i have a large strage for other?

If you want all the songs from an artist on your phone you can to to the artist view, tap on the artist, scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see a Download All button. This works for playlists and albums too (scroll to the bottom and tap the Download All button). I suppose if you wanted all your music on your phone you could create a smart playlist in iTunes on your computer that would contain all your music, upload it to iTunes match (Store>Update iTunes Match), and then you would get a Download All button at the bottom of this playlist on your phone to download all your songs.

HT1386 Why no wireless video sync to itunes or iphoto ? Cant belive Apple didnt include a smart way to do this.

Are there any plans to include video in photostream or something? Do I actually have to connect to the mac manually and start iphoto to import videos? Iphoto already gets the pictures from photostream, why no videos, they could at least be synced when charging and while I am at my home network.

It's called **photo** stream. I suspect Apple doesn't support video in order to keep the amount of data stored on their servers aat a reasonable level. It's a free service, so they can't be too liberal.

Why won't iTunes sync album artwork to my iPhone?

Today, I plugged my iPhone 3GS into my Windows 7 (32) computer. iTunes pops up and tells me that another computer is handling my library. Long story short- My phone loses everything. I decide to take this as a oppurtunity to fine tune my phone's library and I start dragging music to my phone. All of my music appears on the phone but none of the albums include any artwork. When I select an album from the iTunes library the artwork is present. When I take that album and drag it to my phone, the artwork doesn't come with it. Why? Is there some way to get the album artwork to show up on my phone without manually adding the 204 album covers one by one?

Similar problem with the new iPad. Could not sync H.264 1080p video.
Tried to move as both video and photo but received error message both times. Confirmed CODEC was H.264. The same video rendered as H.264 720p would sync. Also, if the same video was rendered as as a MOV file (much bigger file), the file would sync.
Purchased iMovie and iPhot for iPad but they were no help. Furthermore, in iTunes, adding 1080p video for transfer to iPad using both apps seemed to work (iPad memory decreased and files appeared in iTune transfer area) but could not find the files on the iPad using any app.
Apple tech support was courteous but could not help. Bottom line: If iTunes would get out of the way, the iPad would be useable.

Why won't iPod sync with iPhoto library on external drive?

I've run out of room for my iPhoto library on my Mini's 80 gig internal drive - especially now that the iPod cache takes up an extra 7 gig! So I've moved the iPhoto Library over to an external firewire drive - but now I'm getting the dreaded error -50. The iPod synced OK with the same iPhoto library when it was hosted locally, but now it's on an external drive it won't sync at all, even if I host the iPod Photo Cache on my internal drive and link back to it with an alias.
Is this a known problem, has anyone else had this and found a way around it? Fixing permissions, trashing preferences, etc won't work. The iPod will sync with folders on the external drive, just not with the iPhoto library.
I'm running the latest of everything (60 gig iPod Photo with firmware v1.2, Mini running 10.4.2, iPhoto 5.02, iTunes 4.9).

You have to rename your Photo Library (before deleting it, a precaution). Then launch iPhoto...it will ask you where your library is...tell it the external HD...then when everything's hunky dory, quit iPhoto, launch iTunes and try to sync with iPod.
after everything's working fine for a few times, delete gargantuan renamed Photo Library on internal drive.
I've always run iPhoto and its library from an external FireWire drive for a number of reasons.
