I cannot plug it into iTunes and reload as my MacBook crashed a few days ago and I had to get a new hard drive. Recovery software is unable to retrieve anything from the hard drive.
All the songs were from CDs so not saved in iTunes.
The iPod was last plugged into the MacBook one day before it crashed and it was Ok when I ejected it.
Could it be anything to do with this? Doesn't an iPod have its own memory? Any ideas why it has happened and if their is anyway of retrieving it? Is it best to just take it into an apple shop? I am no longer covered with apple support.

My child accidentally rented a movie on Apple TV. Is there a way to refund the rental if we don't watch it?

Two days ago, I lost a bunch of my contacts, appointments on my calendar, and my mail is working differently on iPhone! What happened? I didn't change anything! This has happened to other people I know too. How do I get my stuff back?! Did Apple change/update something? Is it an iCloud issue? HELP!

You should transfer all purchases to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You can redownload some purchases in some countries:

I have tried to download a movie via iTunes. Every time the download nears the end, it stops and restarts from the beginning. This has happened 5 times. How can I clear the download or solve this?
If it is a HD movie, it may not be enough. The iPad also need working space.
Try download to iTune (computer) and "Move" to iPad. -
I downloaded two movies from itunes at the same time (both free digital copies from a dvd) and when they finished downloading... they disappeared. I've not been able to re-download them or find them.. anywhere. Any suggestions for tracking them down?
If you downloaded them on your computer's iTunes then they should have gone into the Movies part of your iTunes library, if on a device (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch) then into the Videos app - they haven't appeared there ?
If you downloaded on your PC and they don't show in the Movies section then you could try searching for them by name (or part of their name) via windows explorer and see if that finds them. Or if you downloaded them on a device and they aren't in the Videos app then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them, and if not can you find them via the device's spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) ? -
I could not start up my MacBook Air tonight, even after making sure the battery was fully charged. I have had it for 2 1/2 weeks and downloaded Mountain Lion 2 days ago. This has never happened before. It started when I held down the power button and accidentally hit the F12 Key. Is this a problem and what should I do about it?

The new iTunes 12 does not have a rent tab. I've downloaded two movies which appear in the Movies folder on my Windows Explorer but not in the actual iTunes programme itself. Completely frustrating! Where can I find these two movies to watch? It asked me once it was downloaded if I wanted to watch it but I wasn't ready to and now can't find where to play these again.
When iTunes/iPod sync process failed due to timeout, the iPod, has only the initilaised filesytem structure at the start of the Sync.
The timeout failure could be due to
Bad hardisk - do the iPod disk diagnostic, refer to this excellent post by tt2
Slow USB port or resource - Dont use any USB hub, disconnect all other USB devices while syncing
Timeout due to Antivirus or other plugins - disconnect from Internet and stop the Antivirus or monitoribng software if you are syncing.
Preferably stop doing other things while syncing this ancient device, which the latest iTunes designer, think will soon be extinct.

I downloaded two movies from I tunes and tried to watch on airplane. It would not let me because in airplane mode. How do I get movies to I pad so I can watch on plane without wifi. I have a new iPad air
You did try tapping on one of them in that list in the iPod app! This has happened to me and I was able to start the movie from there. You could try restarting the iPad, go into the iPod app and try again.
Now I'm stumped unless it is a corrupt download. You did download right onto the iPad - correct? If you downloaded in iTunes, there is a Move tab or function that you have to select to transfer the movies to the iPad when you sync. They just don't sync over without selecting move. -
My iPhone overheats. Battery drops from 100/90% to 10% sudenly. Got the device 20 days ago. I'm currently living in The Hague, there is no Apple Store in this city, took an appointment in Amsterdam, after 3 hours drive and 60€ travel cost got into the Apple Store, 73 minutes delay on my appointment the Genius tech tells me I should leave my device for further checks in the store and come back in a week or two. Not presicely the answer I was looking for, plus he did not have any device to lend me until my iPhone was checked. Quite dissapointed, Apple was standard for quality on customer satisfaction, in the last 10 years I bought 3 MacBooks, 5 iPdas, 7 iPods, 5 iPhones and 2 iMACs... please don't let me down. I have two email accounts set up on my iPad -- one I use & one I monitor for a disabled person. On several occasions, mail I have composed and sent from my email account was sent showing the other account as the sender. This has happened both from within Mail and when emailing from other apps, such as Safari, Photos, etc. Any idea what is going on and how to prevent this from happening?
Are you confirming your POP account is selected as the sending email account before the message is sent?
And regardless if the email is a new email or is replying to or forwarding an email received by the POP account and cofirming the POP acconut is selected as the sending email account, the message is sent by the Gmail account?
All message sent by the POP account are sent by the Gmail account?
If so, delete the Gmail account from your iPad and test if a message sent with your POP account which will be the only email account available with the iPad's Mail app is recieved from your POP account/address.
If not, something else is wrong or on play that has nothing to do with the iPad. -
One of my imported MOV files turns "black" after editing with it for a time and I can't retrieve the images. This has happened three times, only this file. The placeholder is still there. Files are fine on hard drive. What gives? how to stop this? is in final cut pro 10.1.4

It is possible the versions you have are not compatible with your new Mac. Could you please tell us the following:
1. What OS are you running.
To get this info, click on the Apple on the top left, then select About This Mac. The OS X version is there.
2. What are the versions of the apps that are giving you problems?
To get this info, double click on the hard drive icon and open the Applications folder. Select an application and right click on it. Then select Get Info. The version number is there.

Tried to download two movies. Neither was successful. Apple removed them from download que and reimbursed cost. Now I have 10MB of "Other" content that I cannot delete. There are NO movies listed on the Ipad or Itunes to delete. Any suggestions?

To Steve Fan: I created the new second user account in my window 8. It was set as a standard account, not as administrator account as my first original user account. Specifically, i used the same email address with this forum account's to
create this second user account. It means that the second user account in my laptop also was a Microsoft account.
Can you guess what happened after i had logged in to the second user account? I opened some random websites by firefox, copied and pasted all text and pictures on these websites into a word document and onenote successfully without any problems!!!!
I saved this word document and exported this onenote section to a Usb. After that, i switched from second standard user account to my window administrator account and opened the two files which were saved to Usb previously. They were opened and displayed
normally as the same as what i previously had seen in the second user account, i.e. pasted text and pictures were displayed normally. However, when i opened the same web address again to copy the same text and pictures to word and onenote, there were only
text lines pasted successfully, excluding pictures! This old strange problem happened again when using original administrator account for logging in window. In contrast, when using the second standard user account to log in window, copying and pasting text
and online pictures of Microsoft office worked normally.
I truly don't figure out the reason(s) caused this strange problem. I think my case is a special case because i tried all solutions other people had tried but nothing worked.
Please help me!
p/s: when i logged in the second standard user account, i opened the paste special options in word and there were only 3 choices under paste special options, excluding "device independent bitmap"
