HT1390 I have downloaded a movie on my MacBook, how do I get onto my iPad automatically? Can I do this?

Hi,
I regularly buy movies and rent through my Apple Tv or iPad, but tomorrow I want show them through a projector for a family party. For ease of connection to the Projector I have bought two movies through my MacBook on iTunes. How can I get these onto my iPad for future use as we use this in the car for the kids on long journeys?
Is there a way of having it set up that they will automatically download to my iPad? I do subscribe to the iCloud for music also.
Or do I just go on my iPad and download them again, or will this mean I get charged twice? Confused...

open itunes, connect ipad, select what you want to sync, sync.

If you are in the U.S., you can re-download the movie without having to pay for it again - for a purchased movie.
Other than that, you need to get a non-crap computer so the movie can be available in your iTunes library on your computer to transfer to each device and to remove the movie from each device if wanted or needed without having to delete the movie.

It should be in the Videos app - is it not in there for you to select and play ? If it doesn't show in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

If you wish to use home sharing then you need to setup the Apple TV under your ID.

Two ways. The easiest is to play it through the purchased items on Apple TV. The second way is to play through home sharing from iTunes on your computer by clicking on the Computers icon on the Apple TV.

As long as they have been fully downloaded (or synced from your computer's iTunes) then you should be able to watch them in the iPad's Videos app without needing to be online.
