Where are film downloaded from iTunes stored on an iPad?

They should be in the Videos app :
If they don't show in there then are they hidden by a film age rating in Settings > General > Restrictions ?

  • TS1476 where are songs purchased from itunes stored?

I purchsed a few songs from itunes on my phone, after updating my phone, the songs are no longer there. Where can I find purchased songs?

If you are in a country where you can re-download music and they are still in the store then they should appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app for re-downloading : re-downloading items.

  • Films downloaded from itunes impossible to open on ipad when not connected to wifi

Hi, I downloaded films from itunes directly on my ipad to view on plane. when on the plane the films did not open. A message appears "imposible to open" or in french "ouverture impossible". I had read that rebooting would work. It did work for one of the film. On the way back in the plane, the other movies were again not opening. Any clues?

Were these rentals from iTunes? If so, you must have an Internet connection in order to open them. You don't need connectivity the whole time you're playing the video, but it needs to authenticate your 24-hour rental window before starting to play.

  • Where does the purchase from iTune stored ?

I have a Desktop, my wife has a Mac Book Air & a iPad, My son & daughter has a iPod Touch & a iPod each.
My children are less than 12 yrs old and do not own iTune account nor my wife.
I have an iTune account and tethered to my credit card to purchase.
I have never bought music from iTune [My purchase history is for hardware-MBA,iPod Touch ect]
What happens when I purchase a music track through my iTune account? [My Wife wants to know as she would like to purchase music tracks and I am sure my daughter would then want those same tracks on her iPod & iPad]
Do I have to download it to save on my Computer or the Mac Book Air Hard drive so that I can save them & play on our iPads or the iPod Touchs? What would happen if I on a later date to format my computer or the MBA hard drive to reinstall my OS-Would I loose access to my purchased music tracks as they would get erased during the process of hard drive format?
I would appreciate if anyone could make it clear to me.
    Regards

You buy one download from itunes, just as you buy one cd from the store.
Once you buy it, then you can move/copy/backup the music wherever you like.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files, docs, music, pics, etc to an external source ( external drive, dvd, cd, flash drive, network drive, etc).
Your itunes purchases should be no different. They should be included in your regular backup of your computer.
You can Google backup itunes library or similar for directions or just copy the entire itunes folder. Itunes also offers a way to do this:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2727383
You can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone/ipad. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
I certainly would not rely on that as your backup plan. The music should be included in your regular backup of your computer.

  • Where are pictures downloaded from email

Where are my downloads on my iPad air, especially downloaded docs and pictures fro yahoo mail?  Thanks.

Tapping  on a photo in an email should give you the option to "Save Photo" or, if there are more than one to save them all. Accepting that will copy the photo or photos to your Camera Roll and you can view and edit them in the Camera app.
Tapping on a different type of document should allow you to view the contents of that document. Tapping on it again should bring up a choice to "Open In..." and provide a list of apps on your iPad that will accommodate the type of document in question. So if you receive a Word doc Open In should bring up a list of all apps on your iPad that will open Word docs. I use the Pages app for those.
    For PDFs I use iBooks.
For Spreadsheets I use the Numbers app.

  • Where are my downloads? iTunes unavailable?

I bought 40 songs in iTunes, however, I couldn't download the songs (well, i got the invoice, yes, but where are my songs?) I get the error message "Unable to check for available downloads. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later". I have tried now for a few days. Any idea how to proceed? Thanks

  • My cursor vanishes when I run a film downloaded from iTunes Store, why?

I have noticed that under some, possibly graphics related, circumstances the cursor vanishes. The latest instance of this has been once a film has been selected from iTunes and it loads then starts to run. If I want to control anything, e.g. sound, access menu, cannot do it.
Is this Lion related, a fault re the Intel HD graphics, the NVIDIA GeForce GT330M card or what?
    Has anyone else experienced this?
It has also happened running iWork apps and some other apps, so it may be graphics or memory related.

  • TV shows won't download from iTunes on iPhone or iPad

I am using all of the latest iPhone software, I am on wi-fi, with plenty of space available (>5GB).
    -Open iTunes app store app
-Buy any TV SHOW (SD Edition)
-Buy button turns into "Downloading".  Red badge appears in download portion of iTunes App. (expected behavior)
-Unexpected behavior:  Red badge disappears.  "Downloading" button turns back into "Download" button.  Badge disappears from download area.  Nothing downloaded.
This also happens if I try to download any TV show from the cloud.

Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name in the left sidebar under the Devices heading - and then select Transfer Purchases from the pop up. That should transfer the movies into your iTunes library on your PC.

  • I want to transfer a movie I have downloaded from itunes to my new IPAD. I have been on the itunes help menu, it tells me to look under 'devices' tab for IPAD. BUT there is no 'devices' tab and it does not list my new IPAD. Help!

I want to transfer a movie I have bought in itunes to my new IPAD. I have been trying to work how to do this for 3 days now. I have accessed all the itunes help and forums and wiki online. They all tell me to go to the DEVICES tab on itunes and select IPAD then sync. YUP seem simple, BUT there is not DEVICES tab listed on my itunes and it does not list IPAD. Years ago I set up my IPOD no problem and that is listed, but not the new IPAD. Can anyone help? I would love to be able to actually watch films on my IPAD!! thanks

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.
Has your iPad been synced to the computer before ? If not then you might find this page for syncing to a new computer useful : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

  • Why are video downloads from Itunes so slow?

I just purchased Season 2 of Downton Abbey.  Have been waiting over an hour, and still do not have even the first episode.  Terribly frustrating.  What is the problem?

The import setting is for CDs you already have or if you had WMA files and were converting them into iTunes. Downloads off the net are almost always in MP3 format and songs bought off iTunes are in the AAC format (A compressed format just like MP3). I wouldn't worry about it much. If there songs you bought on iTUnes, AAC is a very good sound format and (Far as I know) are just like CD quality
I have bought one or 2 albums in a store on CD and off iTunes in ther AAC format and I can not tell a diff in neither

  • Where is my music from itunes stored?

I am trying to locate on my computer where the music is which is on my itunes library?
I have looked in computer/C/users/username/mymusic/itunes/itunes media but only a small amount of my music (which is on itunes) is in there?
Sorry if this is worded badly.

The usual location for iTunes media is indeed <User's Music>\iTunes\iTunes Media however you can set up iTunes so that you can add in media stored in other locations such as an external drive. Check the setting under Edit > Preferenecs > Advanced for the location of the media folder in case you changed it at some point. You can see the location of any individual file by right clicking on it and clicking Show in Windows Explorer.

  • HT5637 How do I download from iTunes Match to an iPad

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and would like to download the music to an iPad in apple lossless format. I can download but don't know how to select the quality.

Perhaps you could try this to resolve your issue: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/manually-downloading-itunes-m atch-content-on-ipad/

  • How do I find songs that were downloaded from iTunes Match to my iPad for those times that I do not have an Internet connection.

I want to be able to have a smart playlist that contains all of my devices downloaded to my iOS device.

Uhhh, not sure I understand the question but you can shoe only the music that is in your iDevice by going to settings > music and setting "show all music" to OFF.

They're located inside the Music:iTunes:iTunes Media folder of your home folder unless you told iTunes to look elsewhere for its library.
