HT1391 Where do downloaded itune podcasts go in the ipad?
So i downloaded podcasts... Nw whee did theygo? Music is empty, purchased is empty, podcasts is just a search bar, and they disappear out of downloads when they finish and go.... Where?
The iPad doesn't use a file system like a computer. Each app stores its own data files. If you send a PDF file from a computer, or download it from Dropbox (or other locations), the file always goes to one app on the iPad. That app then stores it "within itself". If you open an app, select a file, then "open in" some other app, than a copy of the file is sent to the second app which also stores is within itself.

hi. friends i want details about itunes download for 4s version 5.0.1... where i download itunes pls send me the link frinds
You can download iTunes for your computer from here : www.apple.com/itunes/download
If you want to update your iPhone to iOS 5.1.1 (you can only update to that version as that is only version that is 'signed' by Apple), then if you are on iOS 5+ already on your phone then you can update directly on the iPhone via Settings > General > Software Update.
If you are on iOS 4 (or you can do it this way if you are on iOS 5) then you will need to update via your computer's iTunes (you will need the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer).

Hi there, can anyone please help? Download itunes and it says The Itunes library .itl file is locked, or on a locked disk or you do not have write permission for this file.
Holding down the shift key while iTunes is opening. That will bring up the 'choose iTunes library' dialog. Select 'Choose LIbrary' from the choices and navigate to your music folder and iTunes music folder.
Or refer to this article:

We get an error message when trying to download in-app purchases on the iPad using an iTunes card. This worked on other ipads. Just not this particular one.
We have tried deleting and re-installing the apps and attempting the in-app purchase again. Still get error messages. I sold my ipod (which has always been backed up to itunes/computer) and am waiting for a new Ipad.
Do I have to manually download all my apps on the ipad, or will itunes allow me to sync my old ipod apps and music to the ipad?Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can sync your music and apps from iTunes. However since you are moving from an iPod to an iPad, many of the apps will have iPad versions which you will need to redownload. -
I am trying to download ITunes. I get the message during starting services - Service "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. How do I verify? How do I complete the installation?
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Hey craiglarkin,
First, I would try following along with the steps in this link:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS, make sure to follow the steps closely, including the order in which you uninstall.

How can I download itunes when I get the following errors ..ituneshelper did not install correctly error 7..I .have installed and uninstalled a dozen times with various fixes...b noir for example and used Revo to clean up.
This has been a problem for 6 weeks now, I retry when I have time and patience and use my other laptop which is also Windows 7 and runs with no problem.
Every attempt fails when all seems fine on the desktop and I try to log on to Itunes I get the errors.
Any help greatly appreciated.
billymacGo to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

I have a very similar problem. I am running a new install of Windows 8.1. When I install iTunes 64 bit I receive 2 similar pop-up error windows containing the following (note error code and error text differ "iTunes Helper" vs. "iTunes"):
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Apple Application Support was not found.
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.
Error 2
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Apple Application Support was not found.
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.
Error 2 (Windows error 2)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I've followed the instructions given in this post:
download/install WinRAR
extract iTunes64Setup
double click AppleApplicationSupport.msi
When I run AppleApplicationSupport.msi, I receive the following error:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
! C:\Users\Charlie\Downloads\iTunes Extract - 2\iTunes64Setup\AppleApplicationSupport.msi: The archive is corrupt

Any ideas? -

How can I download itunes for my generation 1 ipad
What apps still work for my generation 1 ipad? How can I download iTunes for my generation 1 ipad?
No one is developing applications for iPad 1 devices that are stuck on IOS 5. A compatible IOS Apple iTunes App Store is no longer available. A synchronization via iTunes 12.0.1 to my iPad 1 basically refuses to load almost all applications because newer versions of these applications require IOS 7 and IOS 8 for installation.
Time to get a more recent iPad that can run IOS 8 (or later).
