i just got a new iphone because my last one broke i tried to sign in to my itunes account and it kept telling me that my info was wrong i got that part fixed but everytime i try to get all the music i have purchesed from itunes back on my new phone it is gigving me music that is not mine i have over 56 songs that i have purchased through my account and it is giving me only 13 songs none of witch i have downloaded.

If you want a sensible album friendly order click the heading of the Album column one or more times until it reads Album by Artist.
To manually order a playlist select the heading of the left-most column of numbers, you can then drag items up or down the list. The is the Play Order.
When you have sorted the list on some other column heading you can right-click on the playlist name in the sidebar and use the option Copy to Play Order so you can use that as an initial order to manually refine.

I have a similar problem. Originally, my iTunes advanced setting was set such that a shortcut to the song was copied into my music library so sometimes copying songs to my iPod resulted in them being grayed out. I changed that setting some time ago and haven't had the problem until recently.
I don't know what to do. here's the situation:
     1. I have a song that is stored on my file system within My Documents. (it was purchased via Amazon)
     2. Through iTunes I choose the File | Import file to library (or some text like that)
     3. I navigate to the location of the song
     4. I import it.
     5. I can play the tune from the music library or from an internal PC playlist.
     6. I then attempt to copy the song to my iPod. When I do, it appears in the iPod's playlist grayed out.
I have done those steps countless times for dozens of songs without a problem. Even others that I've purchased through Amazon. What is so different this time? I should mention that this problem NEVER happens if I buy the song through the iTunes store. Only if I buy it from another source (e.g. Amazon). WHY ???

Yes, I am signed in to iTunes match on the macbook pro, iPhone , & iPad (all updated & correct music libraries) where I bought all the tunes but still no updated tunes on the iPhoto music library after 3 days of being on iTunes match.

There is no way to know with the vague question you asked and no information at all.

There is absolutely NO way to drag and drop newly purchased music from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library? I'm finding it hard to believe that something so simple cannot be done!

I like to make MP3 CD's when I have people over, or when my friends have people over so I can just pop them into the CD player and let them play all night without having to worry about changing the CD or anything. Well, Apple's music is in AAC format, so I have to convert the songs to MP3 files using the converter in iTunes. So I'll convert them to MP3's and just delete the AAC file so I don't have doubles. The problem is, the next time I plug the phone into my laptop to transfer new purchases, iTunes thinks that the songs I converted aren't there anymore because the phone has them as AAC files, and iTunes has them as MP3 files, so it doubles the music again...EVERY time!! It's very frustrating! So this is why instead of clicking Transfer Purchases, I would like to be able to just drag and drop the songs I want from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library. I hope I explained this right...lol. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I'm able to do that. I'm hoping maybe somebody here can help me out and give me some pointers on what to do about this. That stinks! I can actually do that at my house...I just plug my iPhone right into the wire that's plugged into my receiver in my living room...but some of my friends aren't "technology savvy"...lol...so they just have DVD players and I'll put the CD in there because it will read an MP3 disc. What's funny, is I have the phone set to "Manually Manage Music", and when I plugged it into the laptop just now, the one song I downloaded last night on the phone, transferred over to the iTunesl library. That NEVER happens. And it only transferred the one song...it didn't double the other songs like it ususally does. I swear, iTunes does what it wants, when it wants sometimes...lol. If you mean that you have iTunes Match and wonder why not all songs go there, this should help:
"Since there are more than 26 million songs in the iTunes Store, chances are your music is already in iCloud. And for the few songs that aren't, iTunes uploads what it can't match ..."

Thanks for the reply.
I think you ave sorted my problem with your question. I thought that as my iTunes account was on their server (Cloud) and I had previously added CDs which showed up, that all my music was "on the cloud". I used to use Match but when I turned it off lost all my music that I had previously loaded onto my computer.
So I guess I have to use the cloud again to access my songs. This is frustrating as I fly a lot and can not use the music (Cloud based) when the phone is in flight mode as there is no internet.
So how then do I retrieve all my music to my iMac and have my laptop synced so they are the same?
I am totally confused now.

its 1000s of songs . Originally I used the time machine as a networked drive but it can cause the songs to pause so I'm thinking it would be better to have the songs on the internal imac drive

Do you mean on your Time Machine backup drive? Or are you actually accessing the backup? In either case you shouldn't be doing that. If you haven't space on your HDD to store the iTunes Library, then at least put it on another external drive.
Since you did not provide any information about what's actually "on my time machine," here's what you would do. The entire iTunes folder should be stored in the /Home/Music/ folder. Within that folder you would have three folders: imm Media, iTunes, and iTunes Playlists.

Why is the music clip marked with a yellow warning sign?

While browsing my project library today, I noticed that every music clip associated with a particular project is marked with a yellow "warning" triangle (with an exclamation point in the center). What's worse, the music won't play.
I had previously uploaded this video to YouTube, where it now plays just fine. But I'm still puzzled by the warning sign, and by the fact that the music won't play when I take a look at it in my Project Library.
I've never had a warning sign like this emerge in connection with anything else I've put together with iMovie. Why is it there, and why are the music clips inoperative? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a question. I had that little warning sign as well but in the clip I had just imported into the event library... I don't understand because when I went to the folder in which iMovie copies the clips I import, it was right there. Same name, same size, same runtime... and it played perfectly; and I could preview the clip in iMovie. But the thumbnail was gray with that little sign. Also, I couldn't delete the clip from my library.
I closed iMovie, started it again... the clip is in the library, no more gray thumbnail and little yellow sign.
How is that possible ?!

I had previously syncd the ipad and the songs on it, then loaded songs from an old ipod into the itunes account (using irip) and now the ipad songs that were in the itunes account are gone. Can I change the auto sync settings before reconnecting the ipad again as to not lose the songs from my old ipod.
