Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.

  • Error message when i start iTunes 7...HELP PLEASE!!

whenever i start up itunes 7, i get an error message, and the details read:
This error report includes: information regarding the condition of iTunes when the problem occurred; the operating system version and computer hardware in use; your Digital Product ID, which could be used to indentify your license; and the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer.
PLEASE HELP! I JUST GOT MY iPOD TODAY AND I FEEL LIKE I'VE JUST WASTED $250!!!
      Windows XP

OK first we will see if the issue is on the PC side and not the iPod. Uninstall iTunes,Quicktime, and the updater from control panel>add/remove. Uninstalling iTunes will not delete any playlist, songs, ect ect.
Then run chkdsk in windows to correct any lost or damaged system files. To do this goto "My Computer" rightclick the harddrive (Usually C Drive) Select properties>Tools tab and under "Error checking" hit check now. In the following window that appears, put a check beside "Auto fix file system errors" hit OK then hit yes in the next window. Reboot and after the check is done it will boot back into windows
Now disable any antivirus/security/norton/mcafee products then download/install the latest iTUnes here http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and iPOd updater here http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
If this does not work check the system for malware (General term for adware and spyware) with Ewido, this program tends to catch alot of malware that messes with iTUne and iPod software http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

  • Windows keeps giving me "itunes has stopped working" error message when I start itunes?  How can i fix this?

After downloading the newest version, 10.6.1, whenever I open itunes I almost immediately get a "itunes has stopped working" error messsage, in which the only option is to hit the "close the program" button.  Simply closing the error message closes the program as well.  I am operated under windows XP with the latest updates (or so the updater tells me).  It seems like its getting stuck trying to send me a new user agreement because dont you have to agree to one for every new update?  It just can't seem to get past that point.  I tried opening it up in safe mode but that didnt work either.  Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Looks like itunes was still trying to communicate with my iphone and got confused when it couldnt find it.    Found this in another post and it worked great.
    Solution:
Make sure you are not connected to the internet and then open itunes. Sync your phone and then enable the internet again. Then stay connected to the internet and close your itunes and reopen it. Bam problem solved.

  • Error message when launching updated iTunes

After updating to iTunes 11, I've been unable to launch iTunes on my computer. (I'm using Windows 7 Home)
When I try to open iTunes, I'm shown an error message that looks like this:
Any idea what could be wrong? I've tried uninstalling iTunes and all its components, re-starting the computer, and re-installing but I still have the same error. Also, I've reparing to no avail.

Try again. Use Control Panel > Add/Remove or Programs & Features to uninstall:
    Apple Application Support
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Software Update
    Bonjour
    iTunes
    QuickTime
Reboot, delete the iTunes folders in C:\Program Files and/or C:\Program Files (x86) if they still exist, then reinstall iTunes using an account with administrator rights. Hopefully this time it will work correctly.

  • Error message when updating to iTunes 8.0

I have been using and upgrading iTunes on my laptop for a long time now, and have never experienced this problem before.
When updating, it begins installing, then gives me an error message saying: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailabe", and asks me to browse my computer and find the location of iTunes.msi.
How do I fix this problem? Will I have to completely re-install my iTunes? I really don't want to have to re-do my entire library.

When you get this message, doing an installer file cleanup often fixes it.
Here is am method for removal, cleanup and reinstall of iTunes:
    == uninstall with cleanup ==
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program.
To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install Cleanup
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
*If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry*, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
When you get to deleting Quicktime files in the system32 folder as advised in the method, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
    restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes

  • I keep getting a error message when I open iTunes asking me to reinstall the 64 bit version. I have reinstalled but still get the message.

When I open iTunes I keep getting a error message asking me to reinstall iTunes 64 bit version. I have reinstalled but still get the message. Does anyone know a fix for this?

This is obviously a problem apple! Please look at your community boards and see that a number of people have issues with the latest update and sort out.
I have tried a number of times to install the update and have failed getting the same message as you. Tried with the 32 bit instead & no luck. Ive come on here to see if anyone else has a solution & found we all have the same problem. Someone else tried the old uninstall reinstall trick to no avail. Please sort this out apple!!

  • Error message when I open itunes what can I do?

    P3 : 49010a8b P4 : QuickTimePlayer.exe P5 : 7.55.90.70 P6 : 49010a8b

You need to answer the questions in my first post.
It is important to remove incompatible programs if you have them.
When you get that fatal error uninstalling quicktime, it is best to remove all the iTunes related programs and do an installer clean up on any that do not uninstall.
    Here is a method:
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

    If it does, install iTunes.
