HT1414 How do I find out a forgotten passcode?

I have followed the directions about using I-Tunes and everything appeared to be working until I got the message that nothing would happen until I put the Passcode in.

That's almost a haiku you wrote there, isn't it?
There's no standard API class/method to do that so you need to write your own: you'll have to pass through directories recursively. The File.list method will help you get file listings from a directory.

  • HT1414 How can i find out the last time my iphone was restored?

Hey, i need help on how to find out when the last few times my iphone was restored.
    Thanks

This is a strange question, not sure where you are going with this one. On the computer you Restored with, iTunes requests to back up the iPhone. These are time stamped and stored on the computer. You can use iTunes to search the list of back ups of your iPhone and see the dates, so you can at least see the dates of the back ups.

  • TS3297 How do i find out my security passcode

I got a new ipod and went to make a purchase. When i got to the purchas screen it asked me the answers to the security codes that i cant find. Can you please help me?

If you mean the answers to your security questions then if have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address then see if the instructions on this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.

  • How do I find out what the restrictions pass code is

My son is trying to purchase some additions to a game but when accessing the App Store he is asked for the restriction pass code. However we don't recall setting one up for him and he hasn't been asked for this before. Why? How do we find out what it is?  This is since upgrading to version 5.1.

If you restricted in-app-purchases in Settings/General/Restrictions, and you don't remember the restriction code anymore to disable the restrictions, you'll have to set up the iPod as new device again, without using the latest backup, the restriction code is part of the backup and can't be changed by restoring the device from a backup that has been taken after the code has been set.
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
If there are no restrictions set, the code he is asking for is the iTunes ID password, to be able to purchase and download. If you have forgotten that one, follow this article to reset it:

  • How do I find out my KEYCHAIN PASSWORD?

How can I find out what my keychain password is, as I can't do anything with it?

    Never mind the screenshot.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • How do I find out my security questions...?

I don't know what email my security questions verification is being sent to and I've locked myself out of answering them, how do I find out what they are, when I've forgotten what email they have been sent to?! HELP!

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
