Don't hold the power button and try to use the off slider, hold the power and home buttons until you see the Apple logo, then release.

That'd be associated with trying to connect to the server(s) for one of the Adobe online subscription services.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Holding both worked for me as well. The problem occurred immediately after going back to the Apple store. Just purchased the ipad2 and the next day the view account button on data settings disappeared. They had to upload latest update and that resored it. The next day icloud froze the screen. Hopefully this fixes it.

Time Machine over Time Capsule is a bit of a recalcitrant thing. Many times I had problems during backups, such that my backup would seemingly not progress. In the past, a solution I found working every time is to delete your .inprogress backup and start a new backup. However, I don't seem to be able to get rid of an .inprogress backup that at some point totally stalled. I drag it in the trash and after hours after giving the empty trash command the .inprogress backup is still there. Any tip? I thought of using a Terminal command, but I can't even find the Trash in a Terminal window. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to backup anything in a week. My backups never ends, and my attempts to delete the infamous .inprogress backup also seem to fail. Note that I have attempted some backups after the infamous one stalled, and obviously they also never got completed. They also created other .inprogress files, which I was able to delete easily. So, it's just this one .inprogress that seems impossible to get rid of. Please help.

This should be used as a last resort only (as you now see). TM normally fixes an incomplete backup on it's own, although there are some reports that if a second is interrupted while it's still trying to fix the previous one, it can't.

It may go faster if you connect your TC to your Mac with an Ethernet cable, but it's going to be very slow.
To make things worse, as long as it's been since you had a successful backup, TM's next backup may be a full backup, not an incremental.
Your best bet now may be, I'm sorry to say, to simply erase the drive and let TM start over.

This is crazy. I tried syncing the calendar with Entourage only, to see if it made a difference. I got calendar events duplicated as much as 7 or 8 times on both Entourage and the BlackBerry. Make it stop! Please....?
After I manually return, once again, to just one calendar event by deleting all the extraneous ones, how can I keep this multiplication of events from happening with each sync? It's like all the old syncs are still stuck in there and get added to the calendars. Please help.

What can I do if while restoring from an iCloud backup, it is stuck on 174 out of 660 of the photos.

At some point you may have to reset it to stop the restore (by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing), then try restoring the backup again.
